The Saboteur may each night target a player and sabotage their gun (an item allowing its user to shoot someone during day phases), if they have one, causing the gun to explode and kill the user if it's ever used.
This role is always mafia-aligned. It is a role commonly used in setups featuring guns (1-shot day vigilante shots) and roles that introduce guns into the game, such as Gunsmiths, Fabricators, Santas, Illusionists, Tinkerers etc. Note, though, that a gun carried by an Illusionist is immune to the effect of a Saboteur. If the targeted person has multiple guns, the first gun fired by the target will still cause the self-exploding/suicide effect.
