Tactician

Role Description:

The Tactician will during pre-game be given a list of their team members and a list of roles (the number of roles will correspond to the number of players on the team). The Tactician must then freely assign the roles to their team members.

Notes:

This is a mafia-aligned role, though it could theoretically also be used for a third party team consisting of multiple power roles. Most hosts will allow the Tactician to discuss his action with his team members. Multiple powers may not be stacked on the same player. In some setups, the host will have prerandomized all the powers and allow the Tactician to make a single switch between two players' roles. An improved Tactician might be given a bigger list of roles than there are mafia, allowing the Tactician to discard some roles. Note that the Tactician role is semi-controversial and could potentially lead to power struggles and drama before the game has even begun.
