Congrats Spiny and Mac!
Congrats LLD! An excellently played game.
42 is a better number tbh
GG wolves! Was a good game to rail and an exciting lylo.
The return of the fruit people
Some nice pictures! Very happy monks
I can't wait to see what y'all did with this. I don't even remember what I described tbh
I didn't lose a roll, that was an executive decision by pizza to amp up the tension flavorwise. It worked since I didn't get shipped results until after flavor was posted :P
Pizza, thank you for organizing and running the game, even if it didn't come to its conclusion. Life happens, and that's always going to come first before games on the internet.
I had a blast playing as Leon and trying to figure out how the $#@! I was supposed to save as many people as possible. Having loads of above average stats was a nice bonus
Smith, you and Frog were goddamn monsters and I wish I got to work with you guys more than the couple of rounds we did. It was also really fun watching you piece together my softs when we first met up to figure out who I was.
1) This does seem to be a larger number of subouts, though I don't have a great grasp on what historic sub causes are. I would be hesitant to signup ban here on the first instance because it discourages newer players from returning and signing up from more games. A possibility here could be updating the welcome PM when players create their account to place an emphasis on committing to playing the games you sign up for and being aware of activity levels of non-light games on the site. I think also signup banning newer players, while potentially preventing that user from flaking in the future, won't do much to solve the problem of constantly having new users who sign up and flake/sub out because they forget/aren't used to the activity/etc.
2) I personally don't like handing out signup bans to people who are going through IRL emergencies. I interpret it as a "kick them while they're down" type of situation. I also believe this is an easy self-policing situation where somebody who has an emergency and isn't able to play probably isn't signing up for another game in the immediate future.
3) "Rand Wolf Sub the **** Out" is definitely serious and something that is unacceptable to me. It's not something I've run into yet in the week-ish since I started, but this would get escalated fairly quickly and is something we want to nip in the bud. I believe it's a low-occurrence issue, though. In terms of not wanting to play with other players, I don't have a good idea of how prevalent that is but I have noticed people outting of games as other join, so this appears to be fairly self-policing.
4) This is something that would definitely be on our radar and we address as it comes up.
Regarding a participation rate, I think doing a straight percentage doesn't work well. Makaze covered the low end of participation, but let's look at the high end as well. If someone plays a game every other week (I think we can agree that's a high activity player), they would trigger a signup ban on their 4th sub-out (22/26=84.6%). I think we would already be aware of a person who was already on their 4th sub-out and would have taken action of some sort before this point. And with the lower-activity/newer players, I would prefer trying to stress committing to games and seeing them through first before taking the action to ban them from signing up.
Now that Mountainado's over...
This is what I get for lunching wolf!Amy on D1
Sorry for tilting you Zack. The read on you was fairly serious at the start of D4 but I felt I really needed to railroad that case to get people to even consider you. I get that it wasn't entirely fair to you and I apologize for that.
I'm sorry that your first game here wasn't the greatest experience Ran. I hope you're willing to stick around and try another game or two.
Well played wolves. Dels especially I don't know if I get to you if Para doesn't flip. You just sat in that "sounds very sensible" zone, and if I hadn't had correct reads on Amy and Para I think you end up pocketing me very effectively.
What could possibly go wrong?
