There's a 3/4 change that Garbage outs themselves as scum to a PR if he claims bulletproof, assuming the game doesn't have one. It makes more sense that S!Goggle counterclaims, especially if Goggle thinks Garbage is fakeclaiming based on the roles scum have.

*1/3 chance. The odds would be in their favor, especially because no one had claimed though asked to. Me counterclaiming would, as said before, be a 1-1 trade knowing that town has this role, or a 100/100 percent chance of confirming that I am lying to at least one person.

I do concede your final point. If mafia had roles from the upper right four squares, I would be able to counter-claim Garbage. Why would Garbage have claimed BP in that case, then?

I retract my statement. Looking at the Matrix, the only mafia square that guarantees this possibility is Goon, which would set mafia to be 100% goon. However, the Goon is duplicated on the bottom row, which means that if all mafia are Goons, there is a 1/2 or 50% chance that I would be counterclaimed and die. These are not good chances for me.
