Why Everyone In S9SF1 Played A Great Game, an essay assigned to me by Lumi
(and it only had to be 500 words but it's nearly 1000, it was that easy to talk about how fantastic yall were)


@MendesHotter correctly pushed wolf Ephemera on day 1 before his life in game was cut short. He identified that Ephemera's attitude toward jmwjmw27 was uncharitable and not representative of their town style. Mendes went down fighting and communicated his reads thoroughly and clearly, most notably in relation to Spongebob characters.

@Lumi -- after fulfilling the lore by sniping the first post -- encouraged a productive solving environment in the thread Day 1, asking prodding questions, assembling organized read lists, and providing inspiration to the town members before and after her death. She went on to continue goating in spec chat, winning several bets including the one that has caused this post to exist.

@Cobalt displayed fierce dedication to the game and a strong desire to get things right, delving into interacting with players and determining their motives for every action, while comparing to meta from previous games as well. He fought hard against his mischop, making his reads known and passing along his motivation for solving the puzzle to the rest of town.

@plopadop remained a cool and collected town voice on his two days in thread, posting at a comfortable pace with incredibly strong observational skills. His reading acumen, and perhaps some yolo votes on Wisp, posed enough of a threat to the mafia that they killed him on night 2 before he could figure out more possibilities that were being glossed over.

@AXIS was put in a tough position to defend himself while also fairly busy IRL, and yet still brought fire and conviction to his solving while correctly calling out wolves at multiple points. His EOD2 read list had all three wolves in the bottom four names, and he literally opened D3 by saying he was at the exact team solve! Truly impressive. He put the three scum as the three scum repeatedly and was not heeded.

@Fext contributed to a fun yet high-pressure and solving-focused threadstate while keeping it lighthearted with memes and Spheal videos. He notably produced a lengthy high-effort case on wolf Santygrass, which was ultimately not listened to and he was nightkilled likely out of fear that he would continue correctly pushing there.

@jmwjmw27 despite being placed on the backfoot from town-on-town violence day 2 survived two more day phases and kept doing his best to hunt for wolves even when he knew he was going down. On his last day alive, he correctly pushed wolf Ephemera with a very long elaborate multi-part case.

@ThePretender made himself a clear and ever-present town voice, speaking his mind at all times and working through multiple angles of wolf-hunting at every turn. He pushed and correctly voted wolves several times, and interacted with all players with a friendly pressure that generated content.

@Ephemera played an absolutely stellar wolf game, going deep for many days and earning lots of townreads that let them sneak past the few who were on their case. Their style of self-defense was heavily evocative of their town game and convinced many players and spectators alike that they were genuinely innocent. All the while, they were actually ruthlessly railroading villager mischops and leading their team to victory in the shadows.

@arogame123 brought infectious enthusiasm and positivity to the thread, hit the postcap literally every day he was alive, and went out in a blaze of glory casting the hammer on wolf Ephemera in F7. His multiple speeches of inspiration and belief in the town's power to save the game had a tangible effect on the morale of the other villagers, and his open-minded flexibility in solving led him to find the right answers when it mattered most.

@TheCapsFan was a calm presence throughout much of the game, bringing a clarity of vision and a unique perspective from having wolfed in qualifiers. Though his thorough solving work was seldom paid attention to early on, and he dealt with some rough accusations from Fext and other fellow townies in midgame, he remained composed under a lot of pressure in late game, taking two crossvotes in stride and systematically showing why his opponents were guilty.

@supershorty committed a high degree of effort to figuring the game out, analyzing each player's motivations and showing her own meticulous thought process enough to make her one of the most widely trusted players in the game. She maintained an open mind and continued sorting alignments with thorough attentiveness up through the two lylo days, where she and Arete found each other as town and worked hard to examine every corner.

@Arete poured countless hours of work into the game, producing multiple deep-dive multiquote wallposts and initiating numerous in-thread exercises and surveys. Their methods of inquisition showed a uniquely thorough commitment to getting to the bottom of the motive behind each player action. They were not afraid to speak their mind and comb through interactions with full transparency into their thought processes, and they had some of the earliest skepticism of Ephemera's purported innocence.

@Wisp seriously brought his A-game to his second wolf rand of the season, pulling out all the stops to ensure his thread presence was hugely out of proportion to his qualifier and giving the convincing impression of lone town energy -- remaining untethered from his wolfmates in thread while working together behind the scenes to push mischops through. He made every appearance of genuine solving up to the end, ultimately fooling the town in the F5 crossvote.

@Santygrass was an insanely deep wolf, garnering townreads from all directions and slipping past the doubters with panache. His fun-loving spirit, heavily detailed notes, stream-of-consciousness fake solving, and "reverse leverage" bus vote in F5 all worked to pocket villagers and make them look the other way.


In conclusion, every single one of these players should advance and reunite in the Finale, good luck voting nerds.

can i humbly request reveals are *not* between sept 3-14

obv if thats what ends up working it is up to you but i 100% cannot make it during that time (camping on a lake w/ limited-to-no internet) and would really hate to miss shadrus if at all within reason

lol, I mean, I can walk through my progression and I feel that I have been pretty towny. I never wanted Insom to die and hard defended them and would go after Ur mom/IH/Nutella. That was my 3 yesterday.

Nutella has been pushing towns hard after day 1 and the hammer on ur mom was kinda bad. But also, IH is a defender of TH and has just resorted to ATE

My pushes have sucked yeah but at least I swapped to TH at eod1 at a crucial time
