Most likely not, but depends on what you consider a spoiler.

Flavor will be AI so flavor-talk is banned and on the RCs there will only be a brief description of the characters.

Rejuvenation's plot has a lot of twists and turns to the point that a lot of the game's more minor points could be considered a spoiler and it'd be kind of hard to touch on some characters without mentioning them. The rolecards only touch on some of the flavor's more surface-level stuff and a lot of the more spoilery $%#! like "x dies" or "y is actually z" or "a, b, and c, are actually siblings" are not going to be touched on at all.

Realistically if you'd like to play without risking spoilers then I'd suggest playing until the part where you finish the Blacksteeple Prison arc which is done in the 5th Chapter, where there are currently 15 Chapters in the game.

A lot of the game's story revolves around a character that's basically a walking spoiler that'll resolve themselves by the 5th Chapter, and it's kind of impossible to make a mash with Rejuvenation's flavor without talking about this character.

well i'm currently stuck on route 4 so i'll consider joining if that stops being true by the time this fills

(probably won't bc i doubt i'll have the energy for a mash but more than zero chance)

i think y'all mostly know the drill on this by now and i'm not one for dramatics (this is a lie i absolutely am) so let's just get into it

Submissions & Scoring

submit things over discord or MU pm, if you submit over discord please use backticks ```like this``` for your submissions. label your categories with at least a number please just for my own convenience. altsubs are fine. songs over 20 minutes will be rejected.

scoring will probably be mostly arbitrary, but on a scale of 0 to 10, decimals allowed. songs may get the same score but be at different placements. this is mostly so i don't go insane. i have fairly low standards so 5.0 is average, with below that being songs i actively dislike listening to. i won't give bonus points for submitting songs i don't know but i will be factoring that into actual scoring. top 3 for each category get +0.5. lowest score is dropped.

i'm not sure when submissions will close probably a few weeks from when this is posted reveals will probably all be about a week apart but no promises

i am open to almost all kinds of music. there's not a lot that really defines if i'll really like a song or not, so i don't really have a lot to explain here. my favorite artists of all time include gorillaz, marianas trench, porter robinson, will wood, neil cicierega/lemon demon, tally hall/miracle musical, and cosmo sheldrake. if you need a better idea of my taste, the other artists i'm banning on familiarity are anyone given as an example or that i submitted to vanity, SPF or Knights' current walrii (revealed cats only obviously). i'm also banning submissions of any pokemon or sonic soundtracks for related reasons.

my favorite genres are synthwave/darksynth, (kawaii) future bass, electropop, indie folk, and artcore. the only genres that usually do poorly for me are most metal genres, screamo and things that sound like it, and pop country.

arguing about whether subs ruin games is entirely a semantic argument at this point

reducing subs is a good thing and doing it in a way entirely independent of context is the best way to do it without it seeming like a pejorative (i am probably not using this word correctly)

from what i can tell a lot of the miscommunication seems to be in presentation - i don't think anyone wants to play game with more subs but i also don't think anyone wants to be forced to stay in a game they literally cant play or have players who aren't playing because they're forced to stay in when a family emergency or something comes up

but that's all getting lost in "oh subs ruin games how dare you be okay with subbing out" "wow how dare you call me a game ruiner you suck" and its getting needlessly circular

i don't think a direct jump from warning -> ban is a good idea

i think attitude should probably be taken into account more - i assume it already is on the moderation side but looking at stuff like dota's first ban it seems like he never cared about heeding the warning from the start, i think there's a massive difference between something like that and someone who's genuinely trying to improve but keeps slipping back into old habits

(this is not accusing the mod team of not doing this it's more of a counter to the direct warning -> ban)
