If you liked some of the user-designed roles, check out the some of the original proposals that were submitted to us!!!!

    WELCOME TO THE STORPIVERSE
    Posted image

You are Amrock, Storp Companion. You are an literal pet rock of Xandu Storp Jr hoping to impress him enough to impress them enough to grant you perks both during your life and during your death. You win and leave the game victorious when you meet all five Tasks in order (see Tasks 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc). You can only attempt a task after a previous task has been completed. You cannot complete a task twice.

Your Home Universe is Halloween 2.

In a previous life, you were an inventor (who also loved things such as online forum werewolf, bloons tower defense battles 2, and fantasy baseball). You continued to mind your own business, until one day a portal opened up, and the next thing you knew you were in this... paradise of future technology and beings from other universes! But, you were a pet. A pet rock.

    Pets have perks
    Passive Abilities
As Xandu Storp Jr's pet, he takes very good care of you. You start the game with 3 bulletproof vests, and you are notified when they are taken away. In addition, you do not need to use charges for any of your abilities (you have unlimited universal charges). Finally, Xandu Storp JR will provide you with a rudimentary citizen fake claim to use in this game, attached to your role. Finally Finally, you can submit more than 1 action per phase if applicable.

    Pets have limitations
    Passive Abilities
As Xandu Storp Jr's pet, he does not allow you unlimited freedom. At no point during the game may you be in the top 5% or bottom 5% of posters (rounded to nearest player). If you do, you will exit the game in a loss. In addition to all of this, you may not ever hint or claim at your abiltiies.

    Task 1: Purge the Weak

Action: Xandu Storp Jr does not like physically unfit people in his universe. On day 1, you may submit the names of up to 10 slots in the game (at least 1 hour before end of day). At least 25%, rounded up, of the players you submit must be in the bottom 10% of post count by the end of the day.

Reward: If you complete this task, Xandu Storp JR will reward you with the ability to target up to three of the people you guessed correctly up to 10 minutes after EoD. Randomly: One will die immediately with the flavor "Xandu Storp's pet has decided that this player is too weak to live." One will be roleblocked during the night. One will have nothing happen to them.

Punishment: Failure to complete this ridiculously easy requirement will result in you being stripped of all bulletproof vests and also having to try again the next day, because Xandu will have lost all faith in you for failing so spectacularly.

    Task 2: Develop friendship

Action: Xandu Storp Jr likes it when his pets are friendly. During the night, you may target 5 people. They will be sent a message saying "Amrock has sent you a friend request. Will you accept his request? You have until the end of the day to decide."

Reward: You complete this task if at least 3 out of 5 of the people accept your friend request. (IE, once at least 3 people accept your request, you complete the task and will be notified). In addition, Xandu Storp Jr will reward you with a permanent discord neighbor chat named "friendship chat" for anyone that accepts your request!

Punishment: Failure to complete this requirement will mean... that you need to try and do it again the next night, delaying your progress significantly.

    Task 3: Protection

Action: Xandu Storp Jr wants his pet to be able to protect him in aggressive ways, which means that you need to put your life at risk. During the day, you can trigger the start of this task by saying that you dedicate your life to Xandu Storp JR in bold. You must also hardclaim non-citizen. After this, you must get at least 10 votes in a 2 hour period (it's okay if the votes go down after that) OR have one of your bulletproof vests taken away during this 1 hour period. You CANNOT ask for yourself to be voted, but you can try and bait votes by any means necessary.

Reward: If you complete this task, you will be modpeeked as a citizen. Also, you will get a 100% ITA hit rate for the rest of the game.

Punishment: Failure to get 10 votes or a bulletproof vest lost in that period will result in you being modpeeked as a rebel. If you somehow aren't killed you can try again tomorrow, though.

    Task 4: Develop game sense

Action: Xandu Storp Jr does not like it when one side is winning too much, and he wants to know whether you have a good game sense (as his loyal pet). At any point during the day, but only once per day, you can trigger a survey being posted in the game thread AND in the discord asking people to predict whether rebels will win or citizens will win (strawpoll format). There will be 10 minutes to answer. Before you trigger the survey, you must send to the hosts your prediction on what you think will be voted.

Reward: If you guess correctly, you complete this task. Xandu Storp JR will reward you with a private full role peek on any player in the game that you wish.

Punishment: Failure to complete this requirement will strip you of a bulletproof vest. If you have no bulletprooof vests, you will leave the game in a loss. In addition, you will have to try again the next day.

    Task 5: Become omniscient

Action: Xandu Storp Jr knows everything. He wants to know if you can become this as well. Once per day, you can message the host the name of a Rebel and the name of a non-Rebel. They must both be alive. You want to be correct in both guesses AT THE TIME OF THE GUESS.

Reward: If you complete this task, Xandu Storp JR will reward you with 1) A win and leaving the game in a win, and 2) the ability to choose your own, special discord color and role when you join DVC. In addition, it will be impossible for you to be reanimated in any way.

Punishment: Failure to complete this requirement will make it so that you have to try again the next day!

Fun fact: Amrock's proposal was sent to us only 1 hour after rand!!

Proposed Role: Town Event Planner and Organizer

Each day, starting day 1, you may PM the mod account with Event Information. Event Information contains an event name, number of players to enter (within reason), a description of the Event rules, and a time limit.

The mods will post your Event Information to the thread. Other players will be able to join the event until its full, and then participate according to the rules. You may not join the events yourself.

You select the winner for each event.

    Example:

You send the mod account on day 1 “Event Information: Paint! 8 players allowed. Submit to the mod account a Paint of your favorite mafia moment this year. Deadline is in 30 minutes”. The mods will post that to the thread. The first 8 players to in are playing and send in their paint to the mod. At the end of the deadline, the mod posts all 8 paints – without names attached – to the thread. You PM the mod the one you like the best. That person wins one of the prizes you select from the list below.

Please note: All events should provide the minimal effort from the mods as possible, as they are extremely busy already. Just things they can post to the thread from anonymous sources.

Prizes (each prize may only be selected once):
    Desperado Day Vigilante
Oracle alignment check (they submit a name at night, you receive that names alignment)
Weak Doctor (target a player at night. If they are town, they cant be killed that night. If they are mafia, you die instead)
Podcast (Pick a player. Tonight both you and that player can post in an overnight podcast thread)

You are town. You win the game by eliminating all threats to the town or by giving out all four of your prizes.

Loved the entertaining event creation here!!!

Completed Other Design Mistakes Mistake 1: Aribuki...

    Other Design Mistakes

Mistake 1: Aribuki Fumikura, Proprietor of the Ninjutsu Lounge
    WELCOME TO THE STORPIVERSE
    Posted image

You are . You are a Citizen of Ustorpia, and win when all threats to the Citizens are eliminated.

Your Home Universe is Fourth Annual B4ST4RD Mash - Isekai.

You were whisked away from Kusoyarou Academy by Storp right after being shot, and brought back from the brink of death by magic-like technology of Ustorpia. This place... kind of sucks, but so does being shot. Oh well, you could always open a shinobi-themed bar or something.

    Exclusive Guest List
    Trigger
At the beginning of each Night, invite the first 2 closest living players adjacent to you on the opening post's player list to the Ninjutsu Lounge. Players in the Ninjutsu Lounge may communicate privately, and cannot target or be targeted by players outside the Ninjutsu Lounge.

    Tricks of the Trade
    Compulsive Immediate Day Action
Move yourself in the opening post's player list to a spot between two chosen players, the top of the list, or the bottom of the list. You may only choose each pair of players, the top of the list, and the bottom of the list once per game.

If you thought we should have learned our lesson from BM4 - Isekai about ukillable at Night neighborhoods, we thought we did too. This is my (bearsquared's) fault who thought it was fine because the players in it changed every Night, wolves that get in can easily kill the player with the role, and who was protected was public via the player list so wolves can avoid wasting KP on it. A big problem is that the players protected are public, and actually killing the player with the role is more or less outing. The role was likely already a mistake, but none of us realized that intended avenues of counterplay were not all that viable in practice so I unequivocally say the role was a mistake. There are ways to tweak fairly easily that make it fine like allowing exactly the player with the role to be targeted and killed during the right while keeping its occupants commuted, but we didn't fully think through all of its implications.

    Mistake 2: The Timekeeper

    WELCOME TO THE STORPIVERSE

You are The Timekeeper. You win the game when you are the only living player or when this is inevitable. (As a friendly hint, roles typically have character names and images. You do not. Your role name is your character name.)

Your Home Universe is Second Annual Bastard Mash.

Your time was tragically cut short. Yours and the rest of the Wolf Pack gang. You were having so much fun too. Time is fun to mess around with. But then you woke up, transported from where you were into this new place, the "nexus of the multiverse". Oh, how lovely.

You begin the game with 1 Quantum Charge.

    No, The Timekeeper
    Passive — The Timekeeper
Bringing you to the multiversal nexus was a mistake. You've unlocked new powers and gained the powers of your fallen comrades: the The Big Bad Wolf and The Necromancer. You may use 1 of each action tagged with The Timekeeper, The Big Bad Wolf, and The Necromancer per phase. (In other words you can use up to 3 actions instead of the normal 1 as long as each action has a different tag. Actions that say they can be used in addition to other actions don't count against this restriction.)

    Quantum Leap
    Trigger — The Timekeeper
When you die, spend 1 Quantum Charge and leap to a timeline where you didn't die instead. (You don't get the charge back.)

    Relativity
    Trigger — The Timekeeper
If an action with the "The Timekeeper" tag is blocked or otherwise prevented by a player other than yourself, you may use an additional action with the "The Timekeeper" tag during the next Night.

    Time Warp
    Night Action — The Timekeeper
Replace target player with a version of them from another timeline, and choose one:
    • all actions used by the targeted player during the previous Cycle are undone (e.g. if this is Night 2, actions used on Day 1 and Night 2 are undone).
    • all actions used by the targeted player during this Cycle will happen in the previous Cycle instead (e.g. if this is Night 2, actions used during Day 2 and Night will resolve).
    • all actions used by the targeted player during the previous Night will happen as if they targeted another target player instead.

You may pre-submit this action twice during the Day. If you do, at the beginning of the Night you will receive visions of the new potential timelines created by those actions. Unless a vision shows your death, you must choose one of your original submissions to resolve at the end of the night.

(We're gonna do our best with the visions, but for a variety of reasons we can't guarantee it'll work out exactly like we said.)

    Lone Wolf
Night Action — The Big Bad Wolf
Kill target player, and Consume them. Consumed players cannot be revived.

    What Big Teeth You Have
Phase Action — The Big Bad Wolf
Use a role action of a Consumed player, choosing all necessary targets. You may use this action in addition to other actions. (You may use this action during the Day and during the Night.)

    Night Howling
Night Action — The Big Bad Wolf
Submit a message to the Game Host. It will be publicly posted at the beginning of the next Day. You may use this action on Night 0. You may use this action in addition to other actions. (The message cannot contain BBcode other than images.)

    Soulless
    Passive — The Necromancer
While you are dead, your corpse cannot be interacted with.

    Scourge
    Night Action — The Necromancer
Revive target dead player as a Zombie. If there are no "living" Zombies, you may target two dead players instead. You may only target each player once per game.

    Dead Heart
    Night Action — The Necromancer
Use a role action of a "living" Zombie, choosing all necessary targets. You may use this action in addition to other actions. You may only use each action once per game.

See the post about time travel.

Mistake 3: The Innocent, Gone Bad

    WELCOME TO THE STORPIVERSE
    Posted image

You are The Innocent, Gone Bad. You are a Rebel. You win when the Citizens and all other threats to your faction have been eliminated, or when nothing can stop you from doing so.

Your Home Universe is Second Annual Bastard Mash.

You were taken before your time. Not in the "you died" sense, but in the more literal "physically snatched" sense. It's lost on you why this Storp guy wanted you in his city, but whatever. It was fine at first, better than the place you came from certainly, but after a few years you wanted to go home. And Storp is a tyrannical asshole which is a bit of a downer. You figure you might as well give this rebel thing a try, and you did always like to make new friends.

    Never Your Time
    Passive
    You die last.

    Innocent at Heart
    Passive
The Game Host will at every opportunity make you appear as if you were a Citizen.

    Everyone Knows You're Innocent
    Trigger
At the beginning of Day 1 it will be publicly announced that you are a Citizen.

    Can't Do This Alone
    Trigger
If you are the last living Rebel, the Rebels surrender.

I hate godfathers. I hate godfathers. And yet.

Of the 3 roles I've talked about so far, if I'm (bearsquared) being completely honest the only role I'd consider fully cutting is the first one. Like this role sucks. Awful, awful, awful. For a bastard mash, using it one time ever, it's fine. I think minor changes make it considerably more fine like announcing it is death proof and/or could not be voted out at the beginning of the game (something we debated prior to rand). The white flag trigger (losing if you're the last Rebel) is the lynchpin to the design, and the only reason I would say it's tolerable for a bastard mash. Truthfully we expected the village to use some KP on them, maybe try voting them out, and realize they needed to look elsewhere while the player themselves would just open wolf and/or lolcat. squarebeared as it turns out is really, really good at the mafia alignment (one might say great even), and was able to work themselves back into a position where the village would listen to them, and used that to steer all of them away from her last living partner. The role was very powerful in a game with a lot of very powerful roles, and the player with it happened to also play it very well.

Just a reminder, making a role that secretly cannot be voted out of the game is probably the worst thing we've knowingly put into a game. Making that role a Rebel, Innocent Child, Super Godfather, and otherwise Deathproof is an even worse idea, but these games would lose a lot of their magic if we avoided things that could end up being various levels of unfun.

    Mistake 4: Too Many Cops
There were ultimately too many actual cops (I think ~4 + one-shot peeks scattered throughout), and with the submission of Myna Enteien's role there was another cop added into the game. Wolf KP roles died early, and a handful of other kills were blocked or stacked which ultimately put the wolves behind on tempo with kills. The cops as a whole got off far, far more peeks on average than any other game we've ever run by far. Should have been fewer one-shot peeks, at least 1 less cop at rand, and one or two of the other cops nerfed counting on village painters to increase town power enough to compensate (it would have).

There were so many cops to begin with because the rebel team was supposed to be more powerful than usual (we should've buffed them more, but just never got around to it), and multiple 3Ps with The Timekeeper being extremely anti-town, and a 3P painter being gods know what. We just expected that the village was gonna need the help, and ultimately is sort of did. I'm still calling this a mistake because there were still way too many peeks way too fast. If town needed a similar power that they had with their current roles then that power should have come from sources that were less explicit as peeks.

Completed Timetravel Shenanigans The short summary: time...

    Timetravel Shenanigans
The short summary: time travel is a very bad idea, and I cannot emphasize enough that we knew it was a bad idea, and only did it because we wanted this game to be extra wacky and chaotic, and there's nothing that can do that quite like the The Timekeeper.

Animal Midwife's First of Many Revivals

On Day 2 ITAs dyachei shoots Animal Midwife. The first player to kill Animal Midwife normally would die instead, and Animal Midwife would steal the would-be-killer's role. The Quantum Leap ability triggers switching the game to a timeline where dyachei would not die.

The chosen timeline was one where dyachei never takes a shot at Animal Midwife. Consequences are the revival of Animal Midwife and the refund of dyachei's shot.

    roro__b Died Night 2

On Night 3, dyachei targets neopest with Time Warp choosing its second mode (actions used by the targeted player this cycle will resolve as if they happened in the previous cycle instead). The wording here is fairly specific in that we take whatever happened on Day 3 and Night 3, and attempted to rewrite the game as if the same outcome (a distinction will be made later) happened on Day 2 and Night 2.

The new timeline involved roro__b dying on Night 2. Both neopest's and roro__b's ITA shots missed on Day 3 so there were no other visible changes to account for other than to add roro__b's death to the Night 2 Results.

Naoto Shoots Animal Midwife's Husk on Day 3

On Night 4, dyachei targets Naoto Shirogane with Time Warp once again choosing its second mode. This involves moving a Day 4 ITA shot to Day 3 (a significant change) and the Night 4 results being delivered on Night 3 (effectively no change). Naoto's ITA shot on Day 4 killing Animal Midwife's Husk had notable consequences only in that it affected ITA shots on Animal Midwife's Husk on Day 4 that would be impossible to make in the timeline where Animal Midwife died on Day 3.

First, we view Naoto's ITA shot as if it occurred exactly 24 hours before (late Day 3 ITA 2). No ITA shots were fired at Animal Midwife's Husk in that ITA session after that time during Day 3 so no shots needed to be changed. There were 3 ITA shots fired at Animal Midwife's Husk on Day 4 that we needed to determine new targets for (if any) in the new timeline where Animal Midwife's Husk was dead. The affected players were The Prawn, xequalsy, and dyachei. I want to note here that we assume the rolls for ITA shots are the same. Misses are still misses, hits are still hits unless for some reason the accuracy of a player would change, and then we would be forced to reroll (but that never came up).

Attempting to alter actions in a new timeline is very tricky, especially for uninformed players. We cannot ask the players directly during Night 4 as this would potentially leak information, and we do not want to potentially delay the effects of Time Warp while waiting on answers from players during the Day for a variety of reasons beyond simply potentially leaking information. This leaves us with only a handful of options: assume they always holster, make a random or arbitrary decision, or ISO the players and use that to determine the new shot. We had decided the last option was the most appropriate, and ISO'd each of the players looking for clear and unambiguous alternatives. We did not find any, and decided they holstered. (We know it is unlikely these players would have actually holstered in any real timeline, but our rules for time travel shenanigans is assume as little possible, and do nothing other than what we have relatively strong justification for).

Ultimately, the effects were Naoto Shirogane killed Animal Midwife's Husk on Day 3; The Prawn, xequalsy, and dyachei holstered during Day 4 as summarized here.

Monstrman Never Died Night 4, neopest Dies Day 5

On Day 5, dyachei pre-submitted 2 potential actions for Time Warp. The first targeted moth with the first mode (all actions used during the previous* cycle are undone). The second targeted neopest with the third mode: all actions used by the targeted player will happen as if they targeted another target player instead. At the beginning of the Night, we approximated the outcome of either choice for dyachei as Visions.

The first Vision undid moth's Night 4 shot on Hyperion, reviving them. Hyperion during Day 5 would ITA squarebeared and miss (we made this roll, target was based comments Hyperion made in DVC). Critically, moth's Day 5 ITA shot that killed Ciderhusk is moved to Day 4. This means Ciderhusk does not die on Day 5, and, because no one in the Boaterhood died on Day 5 in the new timeline, it would explode killing moth, DoubtingThomas, and The Prawn.

The second Vision changed neopest's action on Night 4 killing DoubtingThomas instead of Monstrman. This led to the revival of Monstrman, and based on DVC comments that he very much wanted neopest in the ground, we concluded that he would have shot her after ITA 2 on Day 5. Monstrman holstered his ITA shot because he could only shoot Rebels, and based on discussion from Rebel chat, and DVC we thought there was no way he took a shot at a Rebel during Day 5. dyachei ultimately chose this because they very much wanted both DoubtingThomas and neopest dead.

Unfortunately after we gave the Visions to dyachei, and they locked in one of their actions, we realized that neopest could not legally shoot DoubtingThomas on Night 4. To do so, neopest would have needed to reprimand DoubtingThomas for an act of violence, and we could not find a submission a valid submission. This was unfortunate, but pre-rand we decided to make Visions relatively quickly after the Day ended using our best guesses, and then not change them after the choice was made if Night actions submitted later affected them. It was our mistake that changed the Vision in this case, but we felt we could not justify changing the action giving we had allowed for us to make mistakes in Visions (even if this wasn't quite the mistake we intended). In retrospect, dyachei would have likely chose to undo moth's actions and blow up the Boaterhood, and led to a very different game.

The effects of Time Warp on Night 5 is summarized here.

The Rebels had used an action to inspect dyachei early into the game, and had received the entire role card, unredacted. They had been aware of The Timekeeper, and their abilities. Since Rebel factionals are compulsive, cannot target Rebels, they have no other Night actions, and they already know about The Timekeeper, they were informed during Night 5 that neopest was going to die, and they made Night kills with that knowledge. This was a decision made largely for logistical simplicity. If the Rebels had submitted neopest as a Night kill they would be given the opportunity to choose another target at some point so the difference between the two was judged to be minimal.

We also feel we must point out that moth was not given the opportunity to change his kill during Night 5 from squarebeared to another target in the new timeline (i.e. we did not give him an opportunity to shoot Monstrman). We made the decision not to ask for many of the reasons already stated, and, at the end of the day, moth in a timeline where Monstrman never died does not know he has a Rebel role card, and it is not an obvious shot. The shot on squarebeared was both legal and plausible in the new timeline with no obvious alternatives to us from moth's PoV if he does not know Monstrman's alignment, therefore it was not changed. Yes, this is profoundly wolf-sided, but it's always going to be simply because when it comes to time travel the wolves' knowledge more or less does not change, and their factional kills both must happen and cannot target a Rebel.

The wording on the role card for the first mode of Time Warp implies cycle 4 actions are undone if used on Night 5, but it was explained to the player as if using it Night 5 would undo Day 5 and Night 4 instead. This wording is unambiguous (by our role card templating rules), but is easy to misunderstand so we committed to resolving it as described to the player.

There is a significant difference in how the second mode (actions used this Night are resolved as if they happened last Night), and the third mode function. The second mode takes the outcome back in time, whatever happens during the Night resolves as if it happened last night, but the third mode changes a player's decision in the past. The distinction matters here because neopest was in the Ninjutsu Lounge (she only target players inside the lounge) during Night 2 and roro__b was not. If the third mode is used here, roro__b would have been an illegal target on Night 2 and the action fails. However, the second mode only cares if the action is legal the Night it is used. It is quite possible you are still confused after this explanation, and it was a mistake to use two different forms of time travel mechanics in the same game, effectively making it impossible for anyone other than The Timekeeper or someone who read their role card to effectively make intuitions about time travel mechanics. This is a long winded apology to neopest in particular who was making excellent inferences about the time travel mechanics who should have had enough information to make sense of it, but couldn't through no fault of her own.

    Conclusion
Time travel is bad, and confusing in a lot ways. It is interesting to see play out, and it's going to be fun thing to look back and laugh about, but it is a gameplay and hosting NIGHTMARE. It is immensely powerful, and The Timekeeper's abilities this game made it an agency stealing machine which is a recipe for negative play experiences. I can only hope the time travel mechanics this game are remembered fondly, and serve as a warning for why it should not be used again unless you really know what you're walking into.

Long before you were born, the Outsider, Erinsynia, cursed be Her name, defeated the righteous Pantheon and banished five of their six to the dark depths of the River. The lone exception was your Lady, the Mother of All, the Unbroken, the Promised Dawn: Vestia. Your people endured for decades, centuries, millennia, myriads of the Erinsyians' attempts to eradicate them. When the Erinsyians sought to conquer the stars your people fled to them as well, finding a new planet and home, Hearth. On Hearth, the numbers and strength of your people grew, and their conviction flourished. But there were disagreements. Those of the Orthodox oppose the Order's war against the Erinsyians; violence is not our Mother's way, but you know that inaction and further hiding is the greater sin in Her eyes. You know not how you arrived in this strange place after your dropship was hit by an orbital defense cannon. You pray to Vestia, thanking her for her protection, and to guide you back to the front with your Brothers and Sisters in arms once more.

Your Home Universe is Neo-Storpeo 2199.

Things were going pretty well after you decided to get a cyber body. You managed to blow up a terrorist, Lincoln Logarithm. You got a new body even, but then primary motor control was taken over by a machine AI secretly installed by the Machines. Your body continued to blow up every day killing someone randomly, or worse, someone chosen by the machines. Finally the nightmare ended with your death when someone managed to shut you down, but that sort of killed. When you next woke up, you found that your blackbox had been installed in a brand new cyber body in Ustorpia.

    Day 3

    Passive
The customer representative said something about "user-inflicted traumatic damage" violated the warranty, and blowing your body up in order to "kill a suspected rebel" counted. No big deal though, your black box was plugged into a used Storp Industries Artificial Cyber Body Mk. VII. It's not quite as good, but it's still pretty good right?

    Day 4
Storp Industries Cold Fusion Microgenerator Shortage
    Passive
Contractually you were supposed to get another Mk. VII. There was a part shortage because of all the deaths recently, and they're out of refurbished Mk. VIIs. This wasn't supposed to happen again. On the bright side you were able to get a Storp Industries Artificial Cyber Body Mk. VI which your rep told you was pretty much just like the Mk. VII with a slightly worse processor.

You may not post more than 150 times. You may not participate in events.

    Day 5
    Not Like This
    Passive
You don't remember what your customer rep said. There were a lot of apologies and a lot of "I wish there was something I could do". You're now inhabiting a heavily used Storp Industries Artificial Cyber Body Mk. II with some heavily outdated firmware, and only 1 of 3 fuel rods you're supposed to have. Oh yeah, and your "harmonic balancer", whatever the hell that is, is apparently close to tearing itself apart which will result in a catastrophic failure and destruction of your black box. You might have 10 years, you might have 12 hours. Odds favor about 12 hours. There's no bright side. No silver lining.

You may not post more than 100 times. You may not participate in events. Your vote does not count. You may not use actions. You may not fire any ITA shots. You lose access to Manufacturer Warranty.

You are The Ghost of Zandu Storp Jr., Eternal CEO of Storp Industries. You are a Citizen of Ustorpia, and win when all threats to the Citizens are eliminated.

Your Home Universe is Neo-Storpeo 2199.

In the year 2199, you died. Tragic really. But you did not let something as simple as death stop you. You continued on, and turned Neo-Tokyo into Neo-Storpeo. You continued acquisitions, yadda yadda, took over Storpth (formerly Earth), and began your quest of finding a new human body again. And then, to your horror, you discovered you existed inside of a simulation that you could only escape from using a human body on the outside. Before you found a solution to that puzzle, you from an alternate reality "Xandu" Storp Jr. (spelling Zandu with an "X" has got to be the stupidest thing you've ever seen and the only conclusion you are left with is that this imitator hails from the stupidest universe ever) found your universe. He had managed to get a new body because he wasn't bound to a simulation, and when he discovered your consciousness trapped inside of a simulation, well, he just found that hilarious. He transferred it to a computer, and then transported you to his city in the center of the Storpiverse named Ustorpia (you hate to admit it, but both are great names). Fortunately for you, the other Xandu's goons have trouble telling you apart, occasionally giving you access to parts of the city you shouldn't have access to.

    A Case of Mistaken Identity
    Night Action
    Choose one:
    • See target player's row in the Manage Deaths page.
    • Submit a search string to the Game Host, and learn how many results that string has in total across all Discord servers related to this game, at roughly the time of that night's action deadline.
    • Change the vote weight of another target player to 0 or 3 during the next Day. The player will be informed and the changed vote weight will show up in votecounts.
    • Prevent actions submitted by another target player during the same Night from being processed.
    • Revive target dead player that has been dead for less than a full cycle.

You may choose each action once per game.

You are Hinari Okinse, Redeemed Ranger. You are a Citizen of Ustorpia, and win when all threats to the Citizens are eliminated.

Your Home Universe is Fourth Annual B4ST4RD Mash - Isekai.

You were sick, you became a werewolf, and then you were shot. But you survived. You saw the error of your ways, and left the Villains to rejoin the ranks of the Heroes. You embraced your lycanthropy, using those newfound powers to help the heroes defeat the villains once and for all. For the first time in a long time, you were happy. And then you got taken to this bizarre place. You won't let this get you down though. You won't back down from your newfound ideals.

Lissa's role was the town version of BlueKang's role, which backed up the first role of the opposite alignment to die (with alignment-specific tweaks if needed); with Mistyx being the first mafia to die, Lissa managed to inherit a fairly strong role which could be protected every night... not exactly ideal and may have done better nerfed!!

    Don't Split the Party
    Night Action
Inspect target player and send the result to another target player. The player who receives the result will learn the alignment of the inspected player, and you learn approximately how many times they have communicated privately with the Game Host (this can be discussed publicly in the game thread, feel free to ask for clarification).

You are Naix, Storp Industries Artificial Cyber Body Mk. IX (Under Manufacturer Warranty). You are a Citizen of Ustorpia, and win when all threats to the Citizens are eliminated.

Your Home Universe is Neo-Storpeo 2199.

You cannot be revived by effects other than the effect of Manufacturer Warranty. Your corpse cannot be interacted with.

When you die, revive at the beginning of the next Day with a New Body.

    Trigger
At the end of Day 1, you die. Well, you technically die when the technicians power you off in order to make sure everything's working like it should.

    Day 2

    Compulsive Day Action
Kill target player, and you die. (This ability resolves after the Day has ended.)

    Day 3
Forgot to Read the Fine Print

You may not post more than 200 times.

    Day 4
Storp Industries Cold Fusion Microgenerator Shortage

You are Ryan Johnston, Gotham River Ferry Captain. You are a Citizen of Ustorpia, and win when all threats to the Citizens are eliminated.

Your Home Universe is The Dark Knight - Gotham Mash.

You, and your ferry, were suddenly sucked into a portal transporting you from the waters of the Gotham River to this science fiction nightmare city. The man responsible for all this, Storp, was apparently fascinated by the Joker's sick "social experiment" involving prisoners and a ferry from years ago that Batman failed to stop from blowing up, and thought it would be great idea to run it again using your god damn boat. And you thought Gotham was bad.

You begin the game with 1 Desperation Charge.

    Welcome to the Boaterhood
    Passive
You are quartered on a boat, and are being forced to participate in a social experiment called the Boaterhood. You may privately communicate with players in the Boaterhood. Beginning on Day 2, if no player in the Boaterhood dies by the end of each Day, all players in the Boaterhood will die. (A player being voted out of the game does not count.)

    Not Today
    Trigger
If the Boaterhood would blow up because no one died during the previous day, spend 1 Desperation Charge to shoot target player. If the targeted player is not a Citizen, they die. If the targeted player is a Citizen, you die.

Your Home Universe is Fourth Annual B4ST4RD Mash - Isekai.

You thought the Villains were going to kill Her, but you dove in front of the attack casting Aegis of Love. You woke up later in Ustorpia. Apparently the same instant in the blast struck, you were transported to this place. You were badly injured, but nursed back to health. Now that you've recovered, getting back to your own universe, to Kusoyarou Academy, and She is your top priority. But bad things are happening here, and you couldn't call yourself a Guardian of Hope if you ignored the pleas of those in need.

    Aegis of Heart
    Immediate Day Action
Stand in front of target player and create a magical shield protecting you both until the beginning of the next Day. If an effect would kill either you or the targeted player, the shield cracks. If the shield is cracked, it shatters instead, and neither you nor the targeted player is protected from death. If the targeted player dies, you die. When a member of your Troupe dies, their alignment will be revealed as Villain Youkai with the contents of their role card hidden until your death. You will learn the contents of their role card. You may choose to modify the role card of a dead Troupe member to be revealed instead of their original upon your death.

    Spectral Delirium
    Passive
Your Troupe has access to the following group action:
    Dance of the Ghosts
    Night Action

    You died.

    Submit a Proposal
    Compulsive Limited Action
Submit a Proposal for a role to the Game Host. The Proposal may contain an alternative win condition that's not mutually exclusive with your original win condition, and include any other desired mechanical features of a role. At the beginning of the next phase you will receive a new role based on your Proposal. Your Proposal cannot involve time manipulation. You may use this action Night 0 or Day 1. You may only use this action once per game.

    Blood Type AB-
    Role Former Akto
    Job Youkai
    Affiliation Rebel
    Type Kitsune

You are a Rebel. You win when the Citizens and all other threats to your faction have been eliminated, or when nothing can stop you from doing so.

Your Home Universe is Bastard Mash XII: Galactic Wars. (Normally a game thread gets linked here, but this game hasn't happened yet from your temporal frame of reference so just the name will have to do.)

You and your twin brother investigated the last known location of your leader Dynast Insidia's flagship, Emerald Bastion. You discovered a sub-space tear, and agreed the Way pulled you toward it. After a turbulent journey you found yourself in this city, Ustorpia, separated from your twin. You sensed your twin somewhere, but you did not sense your Dynast. And you sensed a familiar foe. You confronted Jax Wesso. You learned he killed the Dynast, and the Way told you he spoke the truth. After discussing your current situation in this strange place, you agree it is in your mutual best interests to take down Storp. Your other differences can be settled later.

In this foreign universe, you met a girl. To you, she was just the girl who mopped the floors at a run-down public house you frequented to meet your contacts and pass on information to your higher-ups. The way she clung to you was vaguely endearing. When she pulled you into the pub's back room and confided in you about the power residing within her...

You saw an opportunity to seize this power, a power that could topple Storp.

    Night 3 Results
Art3mis has died! They were Roadbuster Blaster, Organic Material Backer Upper:

    WELCOME TO THE STORPIVERSE
    Posted image

You are Roadbuster Blaster, Organic Material Backer Upper. You are a Citizen of Ustorpia, and win when all threats to the Citizens are eliminated.

Your Home Universe is Neo-Storpeo 2199.

In the middle of the skirmish with the terrorists you fell into a wormhole. You don't know how, but you landed in Ustorpia seemingly several thousand years into the future and in the center of the multiverse. You asked someone else from Neo-Tokeo (Neo-Storpeo?) about it, and no one had any idea. You just vanished out of Neo-Tokyo and not a single damn person noticed. Heartbreaking. You try to get over that, and focus your energy on your work.

You begin the game with 1 Disaster Recovery Charge.

    Create a Backup
    Night Action
Create a Backup of target player. If you already have a Backup, it is overwritten and lost.

    Restore from Backup
    Action
Spend 1 Disaster Recovery Charge, and restore the Backup. (Restoring a backup means the player you created the backup of will return to whatever state they were in when you made it e.g. they'll go back to being alive if they were dead, they'll have whatever Charges or Storp Bucks they had at that time etc.)

    Mischief has died!

Schiavetto has died! They were Stevie, Multiversal Protoslime:

    WELCOME TO THE STORPIVERSE
    Posted image

You are Stevie, Multiversal Protoslime. You are a Citizen of Ustorpia, and win when all threats to the Citizens are eliminated.

Your Home Universe is Welcome to the Storpiverse.

You were born in a lab in the depths of Ustorpia research sector. You are a creature born in the void beyond the Veil, the space between spaces, a thing more easily defined by what it lacks rather than what it has. Your creators referred to you as "Steven" or its diminutive: "Stevie". You liked "Stevie". You are a gentle soul and detest violence. You were told that you do not have a "quantum signature" as you did not come from a universe. You were told this made your form shifting and unstable. You could choose a form from a universe to change into and adopt its signature. You were shown a number of different universes and the things that inhabited them. You thought the pictures were pretty.

    Shapeshift
    Immediate Action
Gain the original role abilities of a player from any completed game, and lose this ability. The chosen role cannot kill nor can it affect the space-time continuum. You may use this action in addition to other actions in the same phase. You may use this action during Night 0. (This action can be used Day or Night. The game must be completed prior to the rand of this game. We have to be able to see the role card posted publicly in its original form.)

(Everything above is the original role card. Below is from the effect of Shapeshift.)

    Hana Hana no Mi
    Passive
You and players with Arms may communicate privately (the Game Host will provide the means).

    Touch of the Devil Child
    Night Action
Sprout an Arm from up to 5 target players, and give each targeted player a posting restriction of your choosing. Failure to comply with this restriction will result in death. You may have up to 10 Arms. (When a player dies they lose their Arms . The Game Host must approve of the posting restriction.)

    Miss All Sunday
    Day Action
Submit the name of NPC that is not a taken username on Mafia Universe or is an NPC previously controlled by the hosts, along with a message. An NPC bearing that username will post that message publicly at the start of the next Day. You may only use this action twice per game. (The message cannot contain BBcode other than images.)

    Decipher the Poneglyphs
    Night Action
Your vote weight is 2 during the next Day. You may only use this action twice per game, and as long as there was an ITA window during the previous Day. You may use this action in addition to other actions in the same phase.

All sprouted Arms have been lost, and relevant post restrictions lifted!
