How do you get your hair so shiny?
What's your opinion on mayonnaise?
Ty for the game hosts! I think we got what we signed up for but yeah as you mentioned the one thing that stuck with me was the lack of ways to yoink the second wolf d2, but not a biggie.
I also loves that the game had a bigger focus on events. Still hard to be camping thread when you domt know if they're announced at :00 or later, and it's kinda stressful, but with the amount of events you had I feel like it was acceptable. Good job with all those tbh.
Also with Hacking etc - idk what people would consider Bastard but ppl told me I was being dum when I suggested that it was a mechanic probably in the game, the way we were dealt acts with passwords we couldn't change, as well as the identities and pins. I think saying it's experimental mechanics is enough, but had me wondering if you had also included stuff like conversions in some form, or roles that alter how others alignments are viewed upon flip.
Especially for that one role that just flipped qs vanilla town, I really thought it could be a wolf lol.
Otherwise as always, great flavour, roles etc. I qlso didn't feel like the public approval tracker did much qnd felt like hey this thing is cool and I want to use it but incorporating it in a natural way is tough - I think there are specific scenarios you're mentioning that it would be good for though so maybe not that bad a mechanic tbh.
Uh, q few things
This fornar would necerv
Hi I moved the thread to light games where it belongs. Hope you're having fun etc
11. Marrakesh, Morocco
This sucks and it's far from your worst sub
Idk these DJC things are starting to really bore me and I don't enjoy listening through them yet here I am doing it Plus points for using a good MUSE song, and the solo part around 2:40 is cool too, maybe the Janis Joplin stuff as well.... Okay it's not the worst DJC song yet but I still hate djc
31. Ibuki Mioda
I think this is just the type of japanese poppy stuff that doesn't tick any of the wow I love this boxes, sowwy
30. Mynameisnothing 3
This has cool sounds no doubt about it, but a lot of it is just too messy or dissonant or insert good word for it, and it's idk not my thing
I should love this based on what it is and the emotional campfire thingie stuff, but I don't really connect with it at any point and it kind of gets pretty boring tbh
Oh this song kekw. It's not super exciting for me to listen to tbqh, idk weh
27. Frog #1
Oh another "im a band with myself" thingie! No doubt about it being cool, it's just.. not super exciting unless you're watching the video tbh
This is a fairly classic sonk and I can kinda see why it would be subbed here. It doesn't make me super excited here but it's a decent enough tune.
her name is ALIIIIIIICEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Hey look it's ASMR music! It's cute, it's OST'y, nothing that makes it amazing for me tbh
This is kind of a standard OST and nothing really wowie special about it, but it fits for sure
There's been similar stuff to this subbed and mostly it's been a hit, but this one doesn't fully grip me like the others, and it's a bit too uh long I think, and too [other things i cant define]
21. Owner Of A Lonely Heart
AYYYYY so this is a cover of a song that was insanely famous in the arab world like 25 years ago. Apparently it came out in -96 and it was my favorite song for a long time tbh. This cover kind of kills some of the cool things from the original like the instrumental parts wooooo but it made me happy to hear this here tbh
(original if anyone is interested in that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iHbp6pnMn-c)
20. Kane #2
Banjo spaceships taking over Earth, I can see it happening tbh. It's kinda catchy, but maybe a little too country'ish for me, although some parts in it are great, but I think I would've liked for it to have popped off even more.
19. Kane #1
I hate that this works so well.
Some really cool elements throughout, I'm not sure if it's a made up language and I'm too lazy to look it up, but it sets a good mood. There are parts that get really fun, but otherwise it just stays on an even hype-level and for this length I'd wish a little more. idkwords
Yooo this sure is a walrus submission tbh....! It's very cowboy wowowow western but there is a hype vibe to it and some cool things happening in the instrumetals. I dont know how Marrakesh this is but I also don't care.
This is like, cute but not great? :P The second half is a lot better and sounds a lot less like dubstep kekw... It's a good catfit though I'll give you that.
This is cosy and cute and nice lyrics etc. Not sure what else to write tbqhpepepopo
Gigglebutton is a Good name. The cover art thingie is also great. I like this, it sounds like this blebubububuododiduuuu deeeeeeeeeeeeeeuwwwwwwww dweeeewwdewedewdewwwwww dewwwwwwwwww deeddeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwdewwwwwwwwww and i like that about it
Here's an interesting song choice for this category tbh. I appreciate it. After squinting a little I can kinda see it? Either way, it's got good vibes, it's pleasant and cosy but in a good way, not just decent way tbh. I like.
I'm not fully sure why this song was subbed here. It's cool and different though, and the way it grows towards the end is pretty sick tbh. I'm a fan
I do like the approach to the category, celtic is basically moroccan tbh. The intro going into the following part took me by surprise, and then the rest is just dududu cheerful good stuff that puts me in a good mood. And then the shift into the ending is also like, cool and intriguing. It's all fun and great stuff.
This is really cool. The instruments including her voice are mesmerizing (dobby using a new word) and it's just good vibes tbh
AYYYYY I'm one of the biggest Einaudi simps out there I think, I've subbed a few of his tunes before, a lot of his stuff feels super modern but also has the classic elements and just lets simple melodies carry the songs throughout. This isn't an exception, it's awesome.
This chorus has been glued to my brain tbh, and it's not the rebecca black friday kind of stuck, this one i don't mind humming on throughout the day. It's got the smol intricate things happening and they're like, great tbh.
So there's that One specific Cinematic Orchestra that everyone has heard. I have never thought to listen to the band outside of that one. This is really different from that, and I really, really enjoy this. It's simple, but introduces cool elements throughout and that manages to carry it through it's 10 minutes.
Usually OST stuff don't do much for me, but this could honestly have been anything. Ethnic elements like this always work well for me, and this isn't an exception. Maybe a little more could happen with it, but there's also some sort of suspense because of how it turns out and also ends within 2 minutes and I've decided I love it.
5. Mynameisnothing 1
This has some epic bleeps and bloops and housey house vibes. The choirs and like, the rest of the sounds that show up all give great contrasts to make this keep being exciting and good tbh. Also it's kinda dobbycore.
This starts off and I'm like "oh it's one of those sonks" and then I'm really vibing and then the end-part comes and I'm super hyped and loving everything about it. This is a BANGER.
Initially this person had subbed a beautiful verse recital from the Quran, and while I hated to do it, because of my complicated relations/bad experiences with some of the religious things out there, I asked them to change their sub, which felt sucky and disrespectful from my side, but thankfully they were understanding.
So, this sub is.. great.
The instruments are a treat, the way it progresses is a treat, the singing is a treat.. I love this kind of fusiony stuff. The last minute is sick.
Score: 9,8/10 + 0,3 = 10,1
2. Tangrowth + ploonet
okay this isn't bad. This is in fact great tbh. The length couldn't matter less, I'm in a trance and I love every second of it.
Score: 9,85/10 + 0,6 = 10,45
1. Mynameisnothing 2
On first listen this was kinda boring. Second listen I was ECSTATIC when the dududu stuff started, from the first note, and knowing what was to come, it just.. idk it evokes the best kind of hype to listen to and I'm obsessed
Score: 9,9/10 + 1,0 = 10,9
We're randing this now, closing the thread
This is me asking for confirmation that you can still play this game tbh
Will be randed like, sunday evening
Also there's one spot available, checking with subs if they want in but its up for grabs for anyone who wants t0o
Closing cuz randed etc
That's 13/13 then! Starting 17th so will rand like 24h before - will also ask for confirmations before it starts. If you can send me your discord (unless it's accessible through your profile page or we have talked before) that would be helpful for communication purposes if needed!
night chat disallowed, even for wilf?
im tempted but there's the ud mash thingie as well
thats one spot left then!
It says cursed goregrind. This is about 20 seconds too long. I hate it, thanks. You're breaking my scoring system tbh, rude.
Idk someone out there might think this is listenable but 4 minutes lol
Hey someone else subbed Virtual Insanity before! This is a lot worse than that song though. Kinda boring tbqh. Sorry DJC
32. Frog #2
Frank Sinatra, who's that There's some of his stuff that I like but this is kinda boring sorry
31. Owner 2
Uhm, this was unexpected. It's not really my thing tbqh. The chorus and rapping parts are alright I guess but that's about it.
30. Owner of a Lonely Heart
This is the type of wublubdub that I kinda don't love (or enjoy much SORRY)
VGM tbh, it's cute, not like something that stands out about it but it's decent.
Oh I immediately want to call this unique tbh. It's like, very very unique and got odd stuff going on and it goes bit of everywhere. It's like, not easy to listen to if that makes sense? I can't say anything about it is bad, it just like, requires a lot from me as a listener and it is kinda tough to get through tbqh.
27. Frog #1
Smh eurovision music... I never was the biggest fan of this but I know a lot of people on here likes this so imma just go ahead and call myself a robber and move on
Hey your collection of lo-fi rainy sounding stuff is pretty impressive. This is similar to a lot of the others but ends up on the "pretty cool tbh" side of the spectrum.
Why am I getting Bob Marley subbed smh. This is so iconic and good but uh, doesn't belong in a walrus :P
This is pretty smooth and nice, I'm feeling the vibe tbh. It's not like, the best song of the genre, it takes a lot for me to really love this style, but for what it is, it's good tbh.
Uhm ye, Fleet Foxes goat. This goes on for a while, it's got all those fleetfoxy sounds that nobody dislikes, but it's a bit slow for how long it is, and sometimes i'm in heaven when i listen to it and sometimes i dont feel it as much tbqh.
ayyy this is ***-core tbh (no spoilers kekw). I don't love some parts of it because there's only so much math rocky stuff or whatever it's called does for me, but when it pops off it POPS OFF tbh.
21. Tangy + ploonet
This has cool sounds but also some sounds I like less? A bit too dubby sometimes, and the mixing of the voice and the rapping thingie is also a bit not my thing tbh. When it goes into whispering with the female vocalist I like it a lot more tbh, I would've wanted more of the last minute tbh.
A B S O L U T E B A N G E R. This is one of the songs I used to perform with my first band, the acoustic version especially. I think it was the second song ever I performed for an audience, together with my fren and we sang harmonies and all, was butifurr. The first song was Chris Cornell's cover of Billie Jean tbh.
Oh yeah, the song. I don't know how to judge it. I love it and I'm emotionally attached to it. I like the acoustic version more but that's probably because of the above.
There's a nice tempo to this, it's pretty cool tbh, the flow is cool, i don't mind the sampled stuff or whatever the voice is. Idk writer's fatigue sorry, song is good.
18. MyNameIsNothing 2
OOOOh, this is different for sure, and I love the language (from an album called RWANDA, so I guess the language is Kinyarwanda/ruanda (i definitely looked up what the main language in Rwana is called). It's cosy, really cosy. Tbh.
Very fantasy, very cool very nice. Idk what to say about it tbh, it's got nice parts and like gucci throughout, but not like, fully memorable? But also just nice to listen to. Reminds me of the runescape soundtrack
16. Ibuki Mioda
ixelpepe: tbh. This sounds like an anime opening. Maybe it is, idk. The instruments slap, the chorus is pretty good. Still not something that is making me go wild but ye they're really cool, and the instruments do slap. Good writeup dobby.
AAAAAAAAA I've subbed this to 3 or 4 different walri, especially in like "good storytelling" categories or similar. I $%#!ing love it, but I have no idea how to judge it here cuz I'm just too familiar with it, I know every word, I've played it on guitar etc a thousand times, it's just too hard tbh. Idk I'll just bop a score on it and move on.
14. MyNameIsNothing 1
This is uh, messy in parts? Does it work? I'm not sure tbh. I want to be cool enough to understand the blompblumpy messy parts but I'm not sure I am? The rest of the sonk is good though, I kinda enjoy it more after a few listens, the melody is a good level of housey tbh.
Hey this is pretty cool and kinda fits the description for the word Serendipity in it's own special way tbh. The instruments go fairly hard and I'm usually not the biggest fan unless something goaty happens, but the guitar solo stuff slaps tbh which sells it for me pretty well.
12. MyNameIsNothing 3
This has a nice pace to it, some cool playful sounds, basslines, instrumentation in general tbh. This type of vocals (editing idk) are not my favorite, but I mean it is perfectly right for this setting.
11. Amy's robot girlfren
ayyyyy this feels so good to listen to. It's like asmr tbh.
Bassline slaps, jungly vibe is nice. The whole vibe is so smooth and then the bass and stuff come in so crisp. The melodies are also just really pleasant. Idk, maaaaaaybe not the most exciting piece but it does enough for me to be intrigued tbh.
So I have no idea what serendipity means despite the description, but I think this is what serendipity would sound like if it was a song. It makes me feel all the good things, somewhat expectant, and then it leads into something with the lingering mystical vibe that I really enjoy. Ngl usually anything called OST is placed in the good not great tier, but nah, this is great. Maybe a little long? Idk, idc, the melody and vibe carries it.
This is pretty immersive storytelling, I enjoy it a lot. At it starts I'm a bit hesitant if I can tolerate her voice and uh how dramatic she is, but as it goes on I completely forget about that. Relistens makes me like it more and more tbh.
I'm headbanging and feeling this from start. The singing is super pleasant and like, good tbh. I'm chairdancing (kek) and vibing, it's got a real nice feeling to it, just a great song tbh.
Ezra Furman is a name I've heard a fair bit but I'm not sure if I've heard and of their songs? (looking it up I have heard like a couple). The energy in this is contagious tbh. It's like, just great im bad with words.
La Dispute LOLOL why change a winning concept tbh. I'm apparently a HUGE fan of this talking with cool instruments in the background. It just $%#!in works and is awesome tbh.
Pretty cosy, her voice when it comes in is a bit surprising but it sucks me in quickly tbh, and then it's kinda dreamy good, and the melody kinda sticks with me even when I've listened to some of the other songs. The contrast between the deep instruments and her voice are also chefkissy tbh.
AAAAA this is like honey kinda, so nice to listen to, something I kept coming back to tbh. Reminds me of a few bands I'm listening to a lot, looking forward to discovering this one further.
Score: 9,85/10 + 0,3 = 10,15
2. Kane #2
This flows so nicely, it's a great rock (?) song with an amazing melody that just keeps me wanting more and like, check out all their material tbh.
Score: 9,9/10 + 0,6 = 10,5
I don't know if I can describe why this is so great. It's 10 minutes. I could listen to this for hours. It's Björk. It's art. The video is beautiful too, watch it if you can. The whole thing makes me emotional. It's a catfit idc. I'm not sure everyone sees what I see in this but AAAAAAAAAA.
Score: 10/10 + 1,0 = 11,0
