but for now I just wanna say: the amount of love people have expressed towards the mods/the setup/the game in general made all the long hours worth it. Above all else, we set out to make a fun game of mafia, and I'm starting to think we might have actually done it.

GG all. It's been a pleasure.

Completed thanks for playing all level of wolf thread...

    thanks for playing all

level of wolf thread control that set in after five set off golden god was amazing to watch and wolves put on a fantastic performance

village put up a serious fight against the endgame wolf control, and endgame villagers shouldn't feel bad about this game at all - the level of wolf thread control was incredibly hard to overcome, that kind of thing is much harder to see from outside than in, and it was by design of excellent wolfing made extremely hard for you to go through with it if you did come to correct wolfreads. and you still gave them a serious fight. that you came even as close as you did to getting bunny through at eod5 is pretty respectable.

if anyone was wondering, to win tonight village had to either land 4 different wolf shots with the 4 shots in the game tonight plus not have any of them get redirected, or town protection/blocking (wisdom was jailkeeper, brainbomb had a prize angel) could compensate if that came up slightly short by overlap/kill failure or if redirection happened. insanely low percentage, though

villagers did fire at 4 wolves tonight: shawna and simri both fired at eragon, and shattiel fired at ladd and knights

notable pr usage shoutouts offhand to
-shattiel, who fired a total of 7 shot attempts and aimed 6 of them at wolves (mill crab; icibalus, who was angeled; m2h; jmurder and dobby; knights and ladd, who had a vest)
-simri, who attempted to randomize a wolf every single night he was in the game, and in most cases extremely high impact wolf actions (day angel murska on n2, redirector/angel marko n4 that sadly randed onto the strongarmed redirector instead of angel, tracker dyslexicon who was tracking shattiel tonight though he was redirected anyway)
-wisdom, who landed i believe the only successful town protect of the game on panini n4

will probably have more to say tomorrow

Completed Vanilla Town roles, continued Animal Midwife ...

    Vanilla Town roles, continued

    Animal Midwife
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Animal Midwife, you are Moonious. A staple of the MU discord community, you’re always around to commiserate or talk about BTS. We didn’t want you to have to stop talking, so we made you a Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Duk3star
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Duk3star, you are Jan. A long time player on DM and MU, you’re a jokester that loves to post gifs but can get right down to it and solve a game. We wanted to give you plenty of time to do both, so you are a Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Trustworthy Liberal
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Trustworthy Liberal, you are Percy. You’re one of the politest players on MU, even when you’re a 3rd party that accidentally townsides. We knew you wouldn’t want to take a chance and be 3p again, so you are a Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    DaveDob
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello DaveDob, you are DoubtingThomas. You’re a boisterous sort, enjoying thunderdomes and loud text whenever possible. We know you love to do this most when you’re a Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Roundabout
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello sulit/Roundabout, you are Quick_Ben. A POG transplant once known for alignment-declarative pop-ins, you have been found playing nearly every MU mash throughout the past four years, and at one point you could frequently be found dipping into smaller games as well. We figured you'd enjoy the low pressure of being a Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    insomnia
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello insomnia, you are Grant. Originating on POG, you've taken to playing a wide variety of game types on MU. In mashes, you generally do not participate in events, and rarely ITAs. We figured you'd appreciate a relaxing game as a no-frills Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Underking
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Underking, you are ScarletCelestial. You're a student from the UK, originally from MyAnimeList, who's taken the leap to MU to general success. You don't have any mash experience under your belt, but you've played in everything else from Light games to Mountainous to hydras to Zork games and have never failed to put in a solid performance. Since Anniversary is a bit different from all of those, we'll go easy on you and make you Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    shawnad2006
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello shawnad2006, you are Jackofhearts2005. Originally from The Syndicate's network of forums, you put in a credible performance in last year's Champs, making it to the Wildcard Round. Since then, you've settled into lightly trolling various parts of the forum and Discord. We wouldn't want to interrupt your vibe, so we'll just make you a Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Panini
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Panini, you are wartortle. You originally went by Squirtlegun, but at some point down the line you evolved into your current form. Keeping in form, your skill level in turbos and otherwise summarily increased as well, proving that Pokemon might mirror real life more than we think. Since you haven't become Blastoise quite just yet though, you're a Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Magoroth
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Magoroth, you are Michelle. You're fairly new to Mafia as a whole but ever since you joined the site, you've racked up a number of solid performances. You also participated in Game 11 of this year's Champs, but since that was still ongoing during the time we wrote these role PMs (THANKS FOR SCHEDULING A 48/24 AS THE LAST QUALIFIER LISSA), we're bound by site rules not to talk about how you did. Here, you're a Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Scirrus
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Scirrus, you are Jalandh. You’ve become a regular player on MU, playing in a number of turbos and long games and giving solid performances. You’ve only been a PR once, so this game, you are a Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Fable
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Fable, you are PunchyTheCat. You came over from The Bell Tree and though your style is sometimes hard to get used to, you play a very good game (I mean, look at those shot lists in Ducktales Mash). We’ve decided it would be too overpowered to make you a PR, so this game you are a Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Percy
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Percy, you are AndrewGreve. You used to play on 2+2 then took a long break. When you came back, you needed a new place to play mafia and came to MU. Since then you’ve been a force to be reckoned with in many games. This game, to get you back into the routine of playing mafia, you are a Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Drexciya
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Efekannn02/Drexciya, you are kre8. You're a recent migrant to MU from POG, but you've been quick to make your mark in the few games you've played over here. Perhaps your most notable effort was in the March Light Game, where you ended up being the last wolf standing in a stacked playerlist, and only got sniffed out due to that cursed cop POE. We've decided to spare you the pain of having to go through that again and have instead made you a Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Hangman
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello sooh/Hangman, you are insomnia. A very recent new presence on the site, you're a high-impact player fond of aggressively pushing your reads. We figured we'd give you the opportunity to do that without worrying about a PR, so you're a Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    benneh
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello benneh, you are Enoch Kaine. You’re a newer player on MU and one of your claims to fame is not having access to discord. We didn’t want to worry you with possible discord chats, so we’re making you a Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Wyatt
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Wyatt, you are Transcend. You are a semi-regular player on MU but what stands out most is your love of dogs. To give you a chance to loldog more, we made you a Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    billymills
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Wisp/billymills, you are Adrian. You've had periods of high activity interspersed with time off ever since you joined the site three years ago, but the one constant has been your continued improvement across alignments over that period of time. You normally shine in the smaller games, but Anni is a special event so you've decided to give the mashes a shot. To help ease your transition into a game of this size, we've made you a Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    MrChuckleteeth
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello MrChuckleteeth, you are Alice Liddell. You are a new player to MU but you’ve already made yourself known as a very good player (and were fear killed in Ducktales Mash). To keep you from completely ravaging the wolf team, we’ve made you a Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    SpankGangsta
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello SpankGangsta, you are JMurder3. MU might get the [redacted] treatment on the forum you help moderate, but that hasn't stopped you from jumping ship to dabble in the occasional mash and SHEEP game over here. We want to give you time to concentrate on just hanging out and having fun in events, so we'll make you a Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    therealzeus
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello therealzeus, you are annulus. You're a decently long-term presence on the site who has been having a fairly prolific 2019. You are town much more frequently than rand would predict, and within that nearly always vanilla town, so we'll make you a Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

Completed Vanilla Town roles yogsloth brainbomb ...

    Vanilla Town roles

    yogsloth
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello yogsloth, you are LanMisa. In between writing a ton of walls that the other townie was thankfully able to read in Final 3, you've found yourself recently engaged and finally get to wrap up your thesis by defending it on Wednesday! Considering how busy you are from these, we won't burden you any further and will thus make you a Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    brainbomb
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello brainbomb, you are Zork. You're a notable host of games with very unique mechanics who recently returned to the site after some time away. So far your hosting efforts since your return have gone well, and nothing says a continued redemption arc like being a Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    [NSM] Mikey
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello [NSM] Mikey, you are Litten. You can post yourself out of any situation and are frequently a top poster of any alignment. You also tend to get a little anxious about doing well, so we're giving you a break and making you a Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    LanMisa
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello LanMisa, you are PLZLEAVEDUCK. MU's reigning Best Turbo Player, you've mostly left longer games behind in pursuit of that instant gratification, but you're here to prove that turbo skills are very transferable to other parts of mafia. In order to best style on those who would doubt your skills, you're a Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Zone Q11
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello DS/Zone Q11, you are Garden Gnome. You primarily play turbos, and are quite often found on their playerlists. It took some time for you to get used to the pace, but you've adjusted and have become a pretty solid turbo player. Most of the turbos played this year have been simple single-PR setups with mostly vanilla roles, so we figured you'd be most comfortable as a Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Trubbish
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Trubbish, you are musicneverdies. You ain't no punk. You've got a punchy air about you and are ready to punt any fool who wrongs you into the stratosphere with impunity and without compunction. Your goal in life is to expunge the world of puns and are willing to punctuate any dissidence with punitive action. Your spunkiness in trying to achieve this goal means you're a glutton for punishment, but it also means that you're a Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    catgode
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello catgode, you are CrimsonFox. You're an old face on MU, having bounced around from POG to MU and back again a multitude of times since the site's inception. You're also an old soul, with a well-documented affection for the legendary prog rock groups of the 70s and 80s and retro indie games on Steam. Given your affinity for the classics, we kept it old-school and made you a Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    WaywardSon
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello WaywardSon, you are M Plus 7. When you're fully locked in, nobody has more WIM than you. Nobody. You posted an insane 6,475 times across your three Champs games last season and were probably singlehandedly responsible for Thingy implementing a post limit in these year's games. Such devotion to the art of solving through the game through sheer willpower can only mean that you're a Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    FecalFeast
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Time Lord/FecalFeast, you are SpankGangsta. Formerly a prolific player and Discord presence known for your somewhat controversial thoughts on poultry preparation, in recent months you've been a rare sight on Discord and rarer yet on the site. You've resurfaced and come out of retirement to play this Anniversary, and we figured you'd probably appreciate not having to worry about playing a PR right or getting shot for claiming it, so you're a Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    yurkin
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello yurkin, you are El-ahrairah. An unfailingly friendly presence both on the site and in the Discord server, you love your dog and greatly prefer light games. Your other interests include the Mass Effect series and drinking wine - frankly, we're shocked that you and GH haven't bonded more over this. As an icebreaker, we've made you a Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Xxerox
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Xxerox, you are Dad. A thoughtful player with a tendency to make dense posts, you followed up your strong performance in last year's Champs with a pending appearance in this year's finale, proving that those who work the night shift are just as capable as those who live in the light. That said, since a lot of this mash takes place during your sleeping hours, we've made you a Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Marluxion
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Marluxion, you are Jarizok. Having emerged from DLP with your sanity mostly intact, you've dabbled in MU games over the past year or two with mostly favorable results. Witch Hunt is definitely your strong point, but that's not really played over here much, and you're friendly enough to not ask for a role besides Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Tsunami
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Tsunami, you are Sooh. You've been on MU since the beginning and have been an inspiring presence to many from your friendly personality to your entertaining karaoke sessions over voicechat in the Discord server. As you're currently expecting, we wish you all the best in the coming months of years and don't want to foist additional pressure on you, thus you're a Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Panther
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Panther, you are mor_tilt. One of Spank's partners in crime, you were one of the most notorious highposters in MU's early years, but now you're enjoying the bliss of semi-retirement. Perhaps your most infamous game was Mortal Kombat where you survived as the last mafia as a peeked Godfather. Once again, if peeked you will come up green in this game, but this time it's because you're a Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Adrian
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Adrian, you are smilefires. Originating on Flash Flash Revolution, you served a lengthy tenure as a moderator of this site, including a stretch as the last Head Moderator before it became a multi-person job. You've also played a fair few games on MU in years past, but these days you're a pretty rare sight. We figured you'd appreciate something low-energy and low-stress, unlike moderation, so you're a Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Shad
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Shad, you are Virtuoso. While you're no longer a staffer, you're still an important cog in MU's machine by hosting as many Light Games as there is demand for, sometimes as many as three that start on the same day! While we sincerely appreciate your dedication to helping out, the fact that you're more prolific of a host than a player means that you're a Vanilla Townie here.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Sunbae
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Sunbae, you are Wesmaster160. You're primarily a video mafia player, but you've ventured over to MU regularly enough to have created a name for yourself. You've made one particularly lasting contribution to the site's culture, which can best be summarized by the following image:

    [IMG]data:image/jpeg;base64,/9j/4AAQSkZJRgABAQAAAQABAAD/2wCEAAkGBxMSEhUSEhIWFRUVFRcVFxcXGBcXFRUZFRgYGBcXFh gYHSggGholGxcWIjEhJSkrLi4uFx8zODMtNygtLisBCgoKDg0O As such, you're a Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Vader
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

    Posted image

Hello Vader, you are Xxerox. You play exclusively mashes, and have said on multiple occasions that their main draw for you is the events. We figured you'd want to be able to freely play events without worrying about endangering your life as a PR, so you're a Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Mill Crab
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Mill Crab, you are Creature. The king of being read based on past games, it's not every player who gets their name as a prefix before the word "Meta" and has everyone in the game immediately understand what is meant by it. In this game, we've made you a Vanilla Townie. We trust that you will use this role wisely and clear yourself by the halfway point of D1.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Seththeking
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Seththeking, you are The Lukundo. In your eight months on the site, you've firmly established yourself as a consistent high-volume poster as both alignments, and have even described it as easier to post when randing wolf, disdaining the idea that higher volume is town-indicative. We figured we'd make you a Vanilla Townie, so you can focus on posting without the distractions of a PR.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Monstrman
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Monstrman, you are warren42. With news breaking that Jameis Winston is staying with the Bucs, your long dark night of the soul as an NFL fan is continuing for at least another year, new coach or not. To cheer you up through the inevitable disappointing autumn, you can always look back on your performance in Game 9 of this year's Champs where you were a solid contributor in a wolf sweep. Hopefully you can add this game to your fond memories as well, where perhaps you dominated the mafia team as a mere Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

Completed Town roles, continued Crackleslap Champ ...

    Town roles, continued

    Crackleslap
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Crackleslap, you are soah, the Town Jack Of All Trades. A longtime figure in the mafia community at large, you essentially taught an entire generation of players the game on POG before moving to MU with the early adapters. While having taken some time off from the site, you returned to action about a year ago and quickly got back into the swing of things, culminating in you developing this year's setup for Champs. To commemorate your deep knowledge of the game, we've given you a wide variety of abilities based off the articles you've written for Mafia University.

    1) Information Overload: Sometimes, there's just too much damn noise in the thread to get a clear picture of the gamestate, and there's no faster way to resolve this than to clear out some bodies. Once in the game, you may target a player during the night with a vigilante action.

    2) When Leaving Cop Cover Goes Wrong: Once in the game, you may target a player with a peek action. You will receive an accurate result about that player's alignment. Make sure to leave proper cover!

    3) Skill: You argued that good mechanical play is based around effectively killing players that are of your opposite alignment. Naturally, this also incorporates keeping players of your own alignment alive. Once in the game, you may target a player during the night with a doctor action. That player will be protected from most attacks that would cause immediate death during that night.

    4) Mad17: This isn't the title of an article, but your Champs setup has quite a lot of moving parts, and more than once a well-timed roleblock has saved the game for one alignment or the other this season. Once in the game, you may target a player during the night. That player is roleblocked.

You may only use one ability in a single night.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Champ
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello AuntDynamite/Champ, you are Cuthalion, the Town Reserve Staffer. An early presence on the site and mainstay of late-night 2017 #championship-spectators, you’ve toned back your presence on the site since its earlier days. You’ve spent quite a bit of time named “Lissa”, and people have often had a far more difficult time telling you apart than is reasonable.

    1) mod appreciation chat: You may attempt to peek a player each night. If their role flavor is a former Community Contributor, you will receive a peek of their full role.

    2) whack-a-dendi: In an earlier era, you had the privilege of kicking some poorly named troll alts in Discord with ban powers dealt out exclusively for the purpose. While you don’t have access to these powers anymore, they’re still given to non-moderator staffers for emergency usage and in a time of significant enough need you should be able to reacquire them. Should every moderator role flavor in the game die, your ITA hitrate will be boosted to 50%. (Should this occur in the middle of an ITA session, this ability will activate at the end of the session.) You will be informed when this occurs.

    3) Lissa9: Each night, you may make a new alt (not a real account, purely a construct of the game mechanics) that mimics the name of a player in the game, binding it to that player. Each alt you possess may take a silent ITA shot each day, with all the current modifiers of the player it mimicked. An alt’s shot may not target the player it mimicked, and when a mimicked player dies that alt is no longer usable.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Multiverse
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Multiverse, you are Duk3star, the Town Empowerer/1-Shot Brainshocker.. You've had quite the wild ride in the Mafia hierarchy. Originating from DailyMafia, you later decided to found MiniMafia and then, in a case of extremely questionable case of judgement, joined the MU mod team last year. Thankfully, your sanity prevailed and you're back to being a normal member on MU, but your positive influence still echoes through the site.

    1) Shine Bright Duk3fans: While drafting a team in the most recent Mafia Universe Fantasy Draft, you picked up a characteristic signoff with a motivational air. Each night, you may target someone to empower. Their action that night will not be roleblockable. Once you have targeted someone with this ability, you may not ever do so again.

    2) : Memorably, you made an ambiguous bet last year that resulted in you pouring spaghetti sauce on your head. You’ve decided to inflict this on someone else. Once during the game, you may pour spaghetti sauce on someone’s head. They will be temporarily blinded and confused, and target themself instead of their intended target with any actions they take (in other words, this is a brainshock action).

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Jalandh
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Jalandh, you are The Sun Fan, the Town GIF-Powered ITA Shooter. Originally from Flash Flash Revolution, you've become a mainstay in the video circuit over the past few years, though your skill on forum hasn't diminished at all judging by your recent advancement to the Season 6 Finale. That said, you do have one crippling weakness: you can't truly start playing a game until somebody posts a pic and you make it your new avatar.

    1) Crowdsourced aesthetics: Each day phase, PM the host account five separate posts where people have posted a GIF on that same day phase. None of these posts may be made by you. Should you PM us with at least 10 minutes to go before the next ITA session, your base hit rate will be boosted by 20% for the remainder of the day phase.

This ability is repeatable each day you are alive, but your hit rate will be reset to the standard level at the start of each new day phase.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    AbuHumaid
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello AbuHumaid, you are Yeti, the Town Anti-Nonsense Activist. Hailing from the salt mines of Smogon dot com, you've been putting kids in their place since some of these whippersnappers were too young to know how to use Google. Known for being able to spout unbelievable streams of content regardless of alignment, you thrive in mountainous environments, where your words can stand on their own merits and not be sullied by some jackass who doesn't know how to play tracker. As per usual, you've decided to take matters into your own hands this game in order to drag the town kicking and screaming across the finish line.

    1) smh: Each night, PM the host account a player you wish to prime. You may not prime a player who has previously been primed by you at any point during the game.

    2) kids stay mad: Instead of using the above ability, you may instead choose to activate this ability to ignite. All players who are currently primed will be roleblocked, causing all their night actions to fail. Players who have been ignited are no longer primed.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    awesome5000
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Lady Stark/awesome5000, you are Angrypotato, the Town Genetic Arborist. You've certainly made your mark on MU this past year. Bursting onto the scene in a memorable Final 3 last June, you've since established yourself as a regular and entertaining presence in the Discord where, one insane night, you decided to create a giant family tree of MU members. It was the most convoluted damn thing we've ever seen, and some of the relations were downright terrifying, but you paired off members and gave them offspring with great skill and aplomb. You see no reason to stop doing this just because you're in a game.

    1) Careful Breeding: Each night phase, you may submit the names of three players to the host. The first two players' ITA hit rates for the next day, after any alterations have been applied, will average out to a number, rounded up, that will be the third player's ITA hit rate for that day phase.

For example, let's say you submit Player A, Player B, and Player C.
    - Let's say Player A's hit rate, after alterations, is 50%. and Player B's is 10%.
    - Player C's hit rate for that day would be 30%.

This new hit rate overrides any passive hit rate the player has or alteration to it they might be experiencing. Please make sure to specify which players are being averaged out and which player is getting the new hit rate. You action will still go through if Player A or B is killed during the night, but all of your targets must be alive at the start of the night phase. You may not target players on consecutive nights.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    LordQuas
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello LordQuas, you are tartina, the Town Peek Sender. You outed a wolf in your champs game with a well-executed fake peek and retraction before revealing your real peek, but unfortunately it took until the next day for that wolf to be lynched, and the village proceeded to mislynch you the day after that. In this game, you won't be getting any peeks yourself, but you'll provide assistance to another notable Season 6 town cop.

    1) I can be a hero: Each night, you may target a player to peek. The player with the RE1031, Town Peek Receiver role will be informed of the alignment of the person you targeted, but not of their name. Note that you will be informed if you are redirected, should such a possibility exist.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Lady Lambdadelta
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Lady Lambdadelta, you are RE1031, the Town Peek Receiver. Known as SleepingTerror elsewhere on the internet, you're a player with a growing reputation on MU. This has so far culminated in your recent Champs game where you landed a peek on one of the deeper wolves, putting a significant dent in the remaining equity of a wolfteam getting stomped. In this game, getting your peeks will require a little help from another remarkable town cop from Champs Season 6.

    1) The Conduit: Each night, the tartina, Town Peek Sender role may target a player to peek. You will be informed of the alignment of their target, but not of what player they targeted.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    wiggles1993
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello wiggles1993, you are vanity., the Town ITA Nerfer. You've been a consistent presence in specchat this Champs season, and put on a solid performance in Game 7. In a moment of highly questionable judgement, you made a bet on which you staked the welfare of your eyes, and found yourself condemned to the use of Discord light theme for the following month. Now, you've decided it would be a great time to inflict this on someone else.

    1) My eyes are still burning: Each night, you may target a player and force them to use Discord light theme for the following day. It will be much harder for them to see to shoot straight, reducing their ITA hitrate to 5% for that day. (If their ITA hitrate is already 5% or less, nothing will change.) You may not target the same player on consecutive nights.

    2) Light mode is hype though!!!: If you attempt to target the Arapocalypse role, your action will be ineffective, and your own ITA will be nerfed to 5% the following day instead. You will not be informed of this.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Jan
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Jan, you are Slaan, the Town Emergency Day Vigilante. You're one of MU's most clutch lategame specialists. Everyone remembers your legendary Final 3 performance in last year's Wildcards, but the truth of the matter is that you've racked up endgame win after endgame win long before that game (Wild West Duel, Anniversary 2017, etc). You're back for another go-round and, should you find yourself in another lategame situation, you've got just the tools to turn the tide.

    1) In case of emergency, deploy red panda: Once in the game, starting on Day 7, you may submit a day vigilante action privately to the host and kill one player. This action will process as soon as it is received and that player will immediately die. You may not use this action in the first or last hour of the day phase, or during ITA sessions, should they still be taking place.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    JohnCarter
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello JohnCarter, you are Limestone, the Town Vanillaizer. Famed for your elaborate cases for or against players (sometimes with very little information to go off of), you're a properly paranoid citizen of the internet in 2019 and regularly delete your posts in Discord to ensure that They can't keep a large file on you. At some point down the line, you got so good at cleanup that you found you were able to delete other people's roles.

    1) Server space isn't infinite, you know: Twice in the game, at night, you may target a player and vanillaize them. Should that player have a role, they will instead revert to a Vanilla Townie or Mafia Goon, depending on their alignment.

    2) Misclick: Sometimes the Discord server moves quickly and you accidentally delete the wrong thing. If, upon the first use of your ability, a negative action is performed on you that same night, you will instead delete your own role and revert to a Vanilla Townie.

A negative action is classified as any action that impedes your ability to be effective in the game. Negative actions include, but are not limited to: kill attempts (assuming they fail, as you will obviously not be vanillaized if you are dead), roleblocks, and lowering of your ITA hit rate. Being jailkept does not count as a negative action.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Perry the Platypus
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Perry the Platypus, you are Askthepizzaguy, the Town Mad Scientist. You've migrated to the picturesque town of Dark Falls, Montana, where you've found work in a local research lab. Your experiment quickly went off the rails, but luckily you know more about your bastard creation than anyone else and you find yourself with a reasonable chance of profiting over the entire misadventure.

    1) Dr. Chaotix's Exploits: On Tuesday (D2), at 11:30 AM US Eastern time, a Resident Evil-themed event will be announced in the thread. This will be the most elaborate event of Anniversary and will have a chance of great prizes as well as that of death. Should you successfully join the event, you will automatically receive the highest possible Luck stat. Furthermore, the large hostile behemoth present will completely ignore your presence unless you directly attack it (regular zombies will still be able to detect you).

    2) You made a fatal error, Reenk: If you are around to join the Resident Evil event, publicly signal your intent to join, but miss the "in" period by a reasonable amount of time, you will join the event and the last player who would ordinarily have gotten in will be kicked out to make room for you.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

Completed Town roles, continued Logic Macdougall ...

    Town roles, continued

    Logic
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Logic, you are Panther, the Town Strong Player Killer Killer and Backup Vigilante. You have been on MU since essentially its beginning and have become incredibly well-regarded as an all-around player as both alignments. When town, you regularly find yourself dead early on in the game due to your skill... but this time you've got a nasty surprise waiting for anyone who might be looking to prematurely end your game.

    1) One Man Kill Ride: Once in the game, at night, you may choose to go on alert. Should anyone visit you that night and attempt to kill you, they will die as well. Should multiple people visit you on a night you are on alert and attempt to kill you, the person you kill will be randomized between them. For purposes of this role, a kill attempt includes poisoning, should it exist.

    2) Klopp Killa: You took a memorable array of shots, in both a positive and negative sense, in perhaps one of the most high-profile games you could have randed vigilante in. Upon the original Town Vigilante's death, each night, you may submit a vigilante shot, which will kill a target.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Macdougall
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Macdougall, you are BATMAN, the Town FPS Cop. While you're an expert soul owner on video, famous for being able to sentence wolves to death with little more than two Xs and a drawing of a cat in your notes, your exploits are even greater on the forums. One of the most distinctive players in the history of the site, you're known for your brash personality, your love of fancy plays, and your activity patterns, aka the BATMAN Venn Diagram:

Given what we've randed you this game, we expect you to post accordingly!

    1) Die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the FPSer: If you post a fake cop peek on a player during the day, you will be given an actual cop peek on that player at the end of the following night. A fake cop peek should either describe a player as being [X alignment] with zero ambiguity/lock strength, or as peeked [X alignment]; if you want to check if a post is sufficient to fit the definition of fakepeek, you can ask the host account. Should you make multiple fake peeks in a given day, only the last one will count. PM the host account with a link to your fake peek along with your real peek submission in order to receive confirmation.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    mor_tilt
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello mor_tilt, you are ladd, the Town Tracker. You're an extremely even-keeled player originally from ToS and as a result of this you don't attract much attention, but anybody really plugged into the site knows that you're one of the most rock-solid players out there. Quietly doing excellent work and hunting down wolves, we can think of no more fitting of a role for you than Tracker.

    1) Io ti troverò: Each night, you may track a single player. You will receive a result detailing who (if anyone) that player visited that night.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Apoc
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Apoc, you are Macdougall, the Town Semi-Ascetic Roleblocker/ITA Nerfer. You subbed into a Champs game and died the night before a wolf sweep was sealed in, but put up enough of a fight to earn a ticket to Wildcards. In nearly your final moments in the thread, you expressed some frustration in a colorful and memeworthy way.

    1) If you don't stop posting in large font I am legit going to book a plane ticket to France and hit you in the $%#!ing nutsack with a baguette: Each night, you may hit someone with a baguette. They will be roleblocked due to the pain and distraction, and their ITA shot for the following day will be nerfed to 5%.

    2) France is far away: While you're in France, it's pretty hard to find you. Killing and result-returning night actions targeting you will be delayed in processing until an hour into the next Day phase; all other actions targeting you will fail.

    3) Baguettes have their limitations: Unfortunately, it's pretty hard to actually kill someone with a baguette, and you've disdained any stronger tools in favor of your trustworthy stick of bread. Your own base ITA hitrate is 5%.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Simri
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Pilica/Simri, you are Visorslash, the Town Relapsed Mafia Addict. Highly skilled in almost every facet of the game, from design and hosting to thread presence and wolf-finding, you're a living legend among the mafia community. You're also responsible for much of what made Anni '17 such a memorable event. Addicted to mafia since 2011 and one of the originals on MU, you've mostly kicked the habit in favor of less damaging vices such as drinking, but like any true degenerate you can never fully deny yourself the craving when it hits hard. We've got some bad news for you: It's hit hard. We're offering you some cool powers in hopes to make up for this relapse.

    1) Vengeance for the Season 3 Wildcard rerand: Should the player with the slank vigilante ability die, you will inherit this ability. You will be informed if this happens.

    2) The Frenchman's Last Voyage: You start the game with one bulletproof vest, which will protect against a single instance of most gun-based forms of death (standard kills, ITA shots, etc). However, this vest does not protect against any such actions if they are undertaken by the player with the Zack role, should it exist.

    3) auto goat: Trusting once more to the whims of fate, once per night, you may target a single player with a randomizer action. Should that player be Town, nothing will happen. Should that player be Mafia, the intended target of their night action, should they use one, will instead be randomized among all living players in the game (should the action be a killing action, nothing will happen). Should that player have multiple eligible night actions, the affected action will itself be randomly selected. You will not be informed of whether your action was successful or not. You may not target a player on consecutive nights.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    IAmRobik
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello IAmRobik, you are Apoc, the Town Death Mason. Plucked from a small, low-volume community shortly before MU was up and running and a fixture of the site since its beginning, you became noted for your dedication to games and highly respected as a player. You've toned your intensity down as of late and have shifted some of your mafia-related energy to hosting and game review, but you can still turn it back up when you need to.

    1) What is Day 3: You rarely have an opportunity to endgame, or even survive past the first few days of a game, as a villager. In this game, we'll give you a little help with that. You begin the game with a single bulletproof vest, which will prevent the first non-poison kill that would otherwise kill you. If this vest has not been used up by the beginning of Day 3, it expires.

    2) Much better than DVC: Watching the village lose the game from DVC is pretty rough, especially when you had it solved. In this game, you'll get to extend your influence a little. When you die, you may pick a living player to have a post-death mason chat with. If they are Town, you will be able to chat with them until a full day phase and full night phase have passed since your death. (If you die in the middle of a day phase, your chat will close at the end of the following day.) If they are Mafia, you will not have a chat and will go straight to DVC. You may presubmit a target.

Note that you may not enter DVC until your chat has closed.

    3) Apoc is literally spewed clear: If a kill fails on you at night, this information will be publicly noted in the night results.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Wisdom
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Relm/Wisdom, you are Mill Crab, the Town Jailkeeper. You're an easy-to-get-along with character who's come out of his shell over the past several months and finally graduated to playing games instead of simply spectating them (though you still like to do that, too). We're all proud of you for taking that step and decided to throw an impromptu party at your house, and - OH GOD, IS THAT A BLIZZARD IN JULY?

    1) Shelter from the Storm: In the Land of Ten Thousand Lakes, bad weather can strike at any time. Luckily, you have shelter to wait out the blizzard. Each night, you may submit a jailkeeper action on a target. The target will be roleblocked but will also receive protection from most kills. You may not target the same player on consecutive nights.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Pansy Parkinson
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello MF DOOM/Pansy Parkinson, you are Emberguard, the Town Paint Superstar. An MU veteran, you’re a very pleasant and reasonable person, often weighing in on and de-escalating debates on important site topics. However, you are known most for one thing: making really beautiful paints.

    1) The world is your canvas: Although painting is your thing, this time you’ve decided to start your own rogue Paint chain. Before the end of Day 1, you may send the name of one player in the game and one (appropriate) image off the internet to the host account. This will start a chain in which every person writes a description of the image they’ve received (max 10 words) or paints a picture based off the description they receive.

If the person whose turn it is dies, the role of the player who came before them will be publicly revealed. Players who are part of the chain will be informed of this. If a player does not paint or describe within 24 hours, they will die without triggering the peek and you will get to choose who takes their place.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Coffee Cup
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Coffee Cup, you are benneh, the Town Day Vigilante. You are one of the most decorated and accomplished players on the site, and your mafia record on both MU and POG is spotless. You've commandeered a truly iconic and fitting gif, have won awards for both town and mafia play, and essentially have nothing left to accomplish in your career. Of course, in terms of recognition on this site, most of that pales in comparison to one little event from three years ago...

    1) Goddammit, Bimps: In your Season 3 Champs game, you were cruelly killed on Night 1 by the Town Vigilante in what was probably the single worst vig shot this site has ever seen. Vengeance has fueled you ever since. Each dayphase, you may PM the host account with the name of a single target, who will immediately die. You may not do this in either the first or last hour of the day, or during ITA sessions. You may shoot on Day 1, but it must be at least 6 hours into the dayphase and your target must have posted at least once.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Lord_Darkblade
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Lord_Darkblade, you are Paratroopa, the Town Day Angel. While you've been on MU for two years now and greatly prefer randing wolf, Modbot has not been kind to you and always made you town. Despite this, you're quite good at that alignment, advancing to the Season 5 finale last year on the strength of your town game. You'd feel a lot better about this if everybody stopped mislynching your top townreads in every game.

    1) Ralsei Protects: You'll do what you can to at least protect your friends from any errant ITA shots. Each night phase, you may target a single player. That player will become immune to ITA shots (all shots will display as "Miss!") and day vigilante actions for the next day phase. You may not target a player on consecutive nights.

    2) spec chat has been wrong before and we will be wrong again: If town ever mislynches for three days in a row, you will gain a second Day Angel action the night after the third consecutive mislynch. This ability does not stack, but you will keep your additional Day Angel action for as long as the town continues to consecutively mislynch. If they correctly lynch, the streak will have to start anew for you to regain access to this ability.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Soneji
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Soneji, you are NotACop, the Town Motivator. A former admin on MU, you've always dared to dream big. It was your initiative to create the largest Mafia database on the internet back when the site formed in 2015, and three years later you briefly rejoined the staff to get the site's Growth Project rolling. While the ultimate success of both of these endeavors is still yet to be determined, no one can doubt that your big ideas have had a massive impact on the site's direction. Here, similarly, you will motivate others to do great things.

    1) jUsT $%#!iNg gO anD liFt tHiNgS: Each day phase, you may target a single player and motivate them. If that player has a night action, they will gain a second use of that action for that night. If that player has multiple valid night actions, one will be randomly selected to be motivated. You must make your selection at least one hour before End of Day. You may not target the same player on consecutive days.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    CatgirlMaple
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello CatgirlMaple, you are dyachei, the Town Cat Tosser. You've diligently worked at your vet clinic for a number of years now, and between your experiences there as well as you occasionally picking up strays you see on the way home from work, you certainly don't lack for cats in your life. You've figured that, in the spirit of Anniversary, now is as good a time as any to share the wealth and spread the unconditional love that cats are famously known for giving.

    1) I brought adoption papers too: You have four cats in your possession that you are willing to give away. Each night, you may give away one of those four to a player of your choice. The cats, and the abilities they provide, are as follows:
    - Casseiopeia: The player's ITA hit rate is doubled for their next shot.
    - Apollo: The player receives a single ITA shield. The first shot that would ordinarily kill that player will instead return a result of "Hit! No one died!"
    - Artemis: The next event that the player joins, if any, they will automatically receive a copy of the second prize, if applicable. If only one prize is given out, the player will receive a track.
    - Bandit: The player's ITA hit rate is reduced to zero for their next shot (Bandit is very temperamental and tends to scratch, you see).

Any player who receives a cat will be informed of what the cat does. Should any of the cat's owners die, the newly-homeless cat will return to you and you may give them out to a new target during the next night phase.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Frog
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Frog, you are Riki, the Town ITA Booster. You've been around since the site's beginning and in all that time your most common superlative has been "most underrated player on MU". Your quietly effective style has aided your faction, whether it be town or mafia, for years now and it will once again serve your faction here by providing a critical support role for your teammates.

    1) Who said Canadians hated guns?: Each night, you may target a single player to give an ITA boost to. That player's shot during the next dayphase, should they take one, will have a 50% hit rate (should that player have an equal or greater base hit rate, nothing will happen). You may not target the same player on consecutive nights.

    2) Underrate me when I blast you in the face: Your own base ITA hit rate is 50%.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    vanity.
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello vanity., you are Ampharos, the Town Administrative Grunt Worker. With Thingyman enjoying married bliss and with Makaze deeply immersed into the esoterica of the database, the task of overseeing the day-to-day operations of Mafia Universe largely falls to you. This is a truly thankless job, but at least you get a good amount of perks as site administrator, and you're not afraid to (ab)use them.

    1) Current staff announcements: Each night, you may submit a message to the host account that will be publicly posted in the thread at Start of Day. This message may not exceed 1,000 characters.

    2) IP check: Twice in the game, you may submit a Neapolitan action at night. You will be informed if your target is Vanilla Town or not.

    3) Amy's Theme Workshop: It was in your mad scientist's laboratory that such abominations as 207x and Vaporwave were created as forum skins. Once in the game, you may force-change one of the player's forum skins to Vaporwave (note: the player won't actually have to do this). That player will become so blinded by your ridiculous color combinations that they won't be able to find the ITA button on the "reply to post" screen and will not be able to shoot that day.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Allundberg
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Allundberg, you are Cron, the Town Second-Chance ITA Shooter. You've been a regular of both video mafia *and* the mash circuit for years and you have a very solid understanding of the normal flow of both types of games. In mashes, for example, sometimes you know that during the course of things there's somebody you'd really like to kill... but you only have a single ITA shot and used it already. We've decided to help you out with that.

    1) Buy One Get One Free: Each day, you will receive one additional ITA shot on top of the amount that you would normally have that day. You may fire your additional shot at any point in either of the ITA sessions (due to technical limitations, you may only fire once per post, however). Any boost or reduction of your hit rate will apply to all shots you currently possess.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Transcend
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Transcend, you are effen, the Town Reformed Grump. You're a highly respected mash player from POG who became a significant presence in the MU community. You used to captain villages, but nowadays are mostly retired, only occasionally surfacing for majors on both sites in a much lower-key capacity.

    1) Effen theorem: You created and lend your name to one of the more known-by-name wolfhunting theories currently referenced, the Effen theorem, which states that players who don't seem to care about the lynch at End of Day are more likely to be wolves. Each night, you may target someone who you believe failed the Effen theorem on the previous day. For the purpose of this role, we'll define that as having posted more than 0 but less than 5 times in the fifteen minutes before End of Day while ending the day with at least 100 posts. All ITA shots fired at your target the following day with a hitrate of below 30% will be boosted to a 30% hitrate (higher hitrates will not be affected).

    2) Seriously, Goddammit Bimps: You are a close friend of benneh, who is the Town Day Vigilante in this game (the role benneh, not the player benneh). Should the benneh role die, you will receive a single day vigilante shot in order to help you avenge him. You may not use this shot in either the first or last hour of the day, or during ITA sessions.

    3) I stole this account: For years, you used the borrowed-turned-kept account Mr. Smee, originating as a briefly-used host account in the first mash played on MU, as your primary account. While you won't be accessing anyone else's account this game, once during the game, you may attempt to steal (part of) someone's role. To use this action, during any single night phase you may submit a post where someone claimed a night action; note that chat-related night actions may not be stolen in this way, nor may limited-shot actions. If they possess the action they claimed, you will receive two uses of that action, and they will lose access to it.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Angrypotato
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Angrypotato, you are Newcomb, the Town Five-Star Solver. You have the (unfortunate?) distinction of being the longest consecutively-tenured Head Moderator in site history and have placed a big emphasis on game integrity during your tenure, but all of that's burying the lede: Your real claim to fame is your incredible gamesolving skills as Town. Wolves everywhere speak of you in the same hushed tones that the Romans once did about Attila the Hun. You're ready once more to lend your considerable voice to the town's cause.

    1) How Many Bussers: Each night, you may take a guess as to how many Mafia members ended up ultimately voting for the player who was lynched that day on the final votecount. If your number is accurate within two, your ITA hit rate is doubled the next day. If your number is accurate within one, your ITA hit rate is boosted to 50% the next day. If your number is exactly accurate, your ITA hit rate is boosted to 100% the next day. You will not be notified of whether your guess was accurate or not. This ability expires on Start of Day 5 (in other words, you'll be able to make a guess for the D4 wagon and potentially receive an ITA boost on D5, but that's it).

    2) Sub In, Solve Game: Your entry post in Mountainous Arson literally turned the entire game around and made a lost game won. Starting on Night 5, you may track one player per night.

    3) Checking in on the Mentee: Each day, you may submit a guess containing x/10 number of players where x = the number of players alive at End of Day, rounded down (for example, if there are 90 players alive at EOD, then you may guess nine players). Should any of these players have the Keldeo role, you will be provided with a private chat where further information will follow.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Quick_Ben
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Quick_Ben, you are Distorted, the Town Bodyguard. In Season 5 of Champs, you became a minor cult favorite with your entertaining playstyle and claiming a power role at EOD in order to eat a bullet meant for an actual power role. This year, you broke into the mainstream and ate a strongmanned bullet on Night 1 over players such as Apoc. In order to honor your legacy, we've decided to formalize your tendency to eat bullets so others may live.

    1) Push 'Em to Protect 'Em: Each night, you may target one player to bodyguard. Should that player die at night, you will die in their place (note that a strongman kill, if it exists, will override this). You must have voted for your target at any point during the previous dayphase for your protection to count.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Jowy
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Jowy, you are Boquise, the Town Tempter tbh. A jovial presence on the site, seriously underrated player, and a long-time mod, you've decided to celebrate your recent retirement from the moderation team with more than a hundred of your closest friends, Swedish-style. Sure, Midsummer's Eve was a few weeks ago, but who's counting?

    1) SKÅL: Each day, you may select one player to give a shot of that traditional Swedish Midsummer's drink: snaps! PM the host account with your choice. This choice must be finalized at least one hour before End of Day. You must select the alcohol content present in the shot you give out: it can be anywhere from 10% to 60%.

    2) Helan Går: During the night phase, the player you give the shot to will be informed of this (and the alcohol content of the shot) and will be given until the night order deadline to decide whether or not to accept the shot. Should they accept the shot, it will be revealed to them that the shot you gave them is actually an additional ITA shot, with the hit percentage equivalent to the alcohol content present.

    3) The Morning After: Additionally, should the player accept their shot, they will be "hung over" and roleblocked from taking any day actions (aside from shooting their ITA shots and voting) for the next day phase. Should you give them a shot with an alcohol content of 50-60%, the hangover will be so bad that they're also not allowed to take any actions the following night phase as well.

You may not give out more than one shot to a single player. You may not give out shots that have an alcohol content that is within 5% of a shot you have already given out (for example, if you give out a shot that has 60% alcohol content, you can give one out that has 55% but not 56%).

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    NinjaPenguin
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Chaos/NinjaPenguin, you are Aquilla, the Town Event Oracle. MU's Designated Host, you've either hosted or helped run numerous mashes over the years, many of which have been super clutch efforts, and know the mechanics of how they function inside and out. This knowledge has given you particular insight over an important feature of mashes: Events, and specifically the details about them.

    1) It's still going to come down to who can spam "/in" the fastest: Each Start of Day, you will receive the following pieces of information about the Events scheduled to run that day:
    - How many total
    - The general timeframes in which they will be open
    - A rough estimate of how long each event will take (this will be our best guess; please don't hate us if we're wrong)
    - Whether each event will have a chance of death or not

This is a passive ability and cannot be blocked or otherwise interfered with.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Grant
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Grant, you are sheepsaysmeep, the Town Universal Backup. Unfortunately, you tend to get mislynched quite a bit, but you're eager to help out on the site in whatever way is needed. In this game, your versatile willingness to help out will come in handy.

    1) I can help: Once during the game, you may choose a dead town-aligned role to inherit. You will become a copy of that role, minus any abilities falling under the categories listed below. You may do this either as a day action or untamperable night action, but not in the first or last hour of day or in the time between the night action submission deadline and Start of Day.

    Restrictions:
-Any abilities containing the text "cannot be acquired by normal means" will not be inherited.
-Other backup abilities will not be inherited. If you aren't sure whether a flipped role's ability falls under this, feel free to ask.
-You may not target the roles with the following characters: coolkid, iaafr, Zack.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    CrimsonFox
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello SuperMarioBros/CrimsonFox, you are Dp101, the Town ITA Storm. Most of the public knows you only as Lissa's flake mod understudy, or perhaps as someone who used to rand wolf more than she was really comfortable with. But we see into your soul, Dp. We know you for the Magic: the Gathering addict you truly are. Deep down, you desire nothing more than to create an intricate combo deck, designed to carefully gain an advantage before exploding outward in a colossal blast of Gameplay. Let's see how well that translates to mafia.

    1) Let's Count To 10: Each night, you may submit to the hosts a list of players that you expect to die during the night. If at least 50% of your list is players that died that night, and your list contains at least 50% of the players that died that night, you will increase your Storm Count by 1 (it starts at 0). Your Storm Count is capped at 4.

    2) Tendrils of Agony: Once in the game, you may post in the main thread "I'M COMBOING OFF" in bold red font. PM the host account when you do this. Upon doing so, you will receive a number of extra ITA shots that day equal to your Storm Count, and your ITA hit rate will be increased by (Storm Count * 15%) until the end of the day.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Alice Liddell
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Alice Liddell, you are lute, the Town [REDACTED]-Of-All-Trades. Born on a small island off the coast of France in the year [REDACTED], you cut your teeth on [REDACTED] and [DATA EXPUNGED] before disappearing from the annals of history, only to resurface some [DATA CORRUPTED] years later as the head moderator of Mafia Universe dot com. Your colorful and completely unknown past gives you a wide variety of talents to use to help the town (though it should be noted that any connections to the [REDACTED] organized crime syndicate are completely ridiculous and unfounded).

    1) The Banhammer: Like Mjolnir, the sacred hammer of Thor, only the truly worthy can keep MU safe from the spambot hordes. Once during the game, target player will be roleblocked and protected from kill attempts that night (in other words, this is a jailkeeper action).

    2) Is that lute or Amy? I can't tell: You and the ex-walrus have been mistaken for each other more times than either of you is fully comfortable with. Once during the game, target two players. All actions aimed at one of your targets will be redirected to the other (in other words, this is a bus driver action).

    3) Need a boost?: Your most potent skill, however, is your ability to be taller than everyone else on the goddamn site. Once during the game, target player's night actions will be unable to be interfered with in any capacity that night (in other words, this is an empower action).

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Ryast
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Ryast, you are Logic, the Town Background Checker. You are a likable staffer originally from GITP who has most recently demonstrated your growing mafia prowess by making the wildcard in the current season of Champs. Outside of the mafia-specific environment, though, you're known for your great love of sci-fi franchises, including Marvel Comics and, most notably, Star Trek. As the Federation in Star Trek is widely credited as the ultimate example of a true futuristic society to strive for, you've decided that there's no time like the present to start building towards that end goal.

    1) Pinpoint the Violent Elements: There is no room for internecine violence in a utopia. Each night, you may investigate one player. You will receive a result informing you of whether or not that player has an ability that gives them killpower of any sort. Note that "killpower", for the purposes of this role, means the ability to kill outside of an ITA session or being assigned a factional kill at night.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Town roles

    SwedishSkumbag
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello SwedishSkumbag, you are Sunbae, the Town Cycle of Werewolf JOAT. You are incredibly nice and have a fantastic attitude about the game of werewolf, and place a high priority on games being enjoyable.

    Posted image

    1) Cycle of Werewolf: You have the following four abilities:
Werewolf is fun!: Tonight, you may target two people and double each of their ITA shot hitrates for the following day.
I am going to do better next game! Try hard!: Tonight, you may track a player.
Burn out. Werewolf kind of sucks. What am I doing with my life?: Today and tonight, you have no abilities. You also may not use externally given abilities today or tonight; you will be able to use them on the following day and night.
I'm not gonna care anymore. SHATS and messing around for me next game: Today, your ITA shot has a 50% base hitrate.

You may choose to start with any item on this list (be advised that there are no ITAs on day 1), but after that choice you must progress through them in order. If you go through all of them, you will start the cycle again. You must submit a choice for your starting point by the Night 1 action deadline, and if you used any event prizes during Day 1 you may not start at "Burn out." If you don't submit a starting position, you will default to starting at "I'm not gonna care anymore."

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Michelle
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Michelle, you are Panini, the Town Event Prize Saver. After wolves outed to hammer what would have been the final mislynch at endgame of a mash, you turned the game around by stopping both of the wolves' methods of sealing the win, allowing the village to lynch through the four remaining wolves consecutively. In order to be able to do this, you lied about using one of your event prizes and saved it instead. In this game, you'll have the chance to do the same thing and even get a bit of a boost for it.

    1) Mother Panini always provides: You may delay the use of any event prizes you earn for any length of time. If you save a prize until at least the next cycle, you receive an extra copy of that action. You may use the two copies during different phases or both in the same phase.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Revival
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Revival, you are wiggles1993, the Town Spam Vigilante. You are a talented host and a strong player regardless of alignment, but in the past year you've become very notable for starting a campaign to try to get people not to post an insane amount in games. While your efforts have made some progress, with overall sentiment starting to swing in the direction of super high-volume being wolfsided, you've decided that not enough people are listening to your liking.

    1) Go live your life or I'll end it: If a player meets one of the two following qualifications: a) at least 300 posts in the previous dayphase, b) at least 100 posts in the previous dayphase AND use of Size 7 text in any of their posts made that day, you may kill them at night. Should you kill somebody who meets the second qualification, you must submit quoted evidence of their use of Size 7 text from that day with your action.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    FTFlush
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello FTFlush, you are Cory, the Town ITA Deadeye. You played on MU in its earliest days, and have long been a well-regarded player. Some of your most memorable moments on MU have been hitting a clutch hero shot on a well-hidden wolf vigilante and casually wielding a 100% hitrate to kill three wolves in two days, while operating from not-quite-outed-yet, amusingly named alts. In this game, you'll once again have a little help getting your shots to land.

    1) The Pundertaker Cometh: You have a base ITA hit rate of 100%.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    roro__b
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello roro_b, you are coolkid, the Town Alignment Cop. After winning Season 2 of Champs, you disappeared from the mafia scene entirely without a trace. Legend has it that you've spent the past four years studying the finer art of the game at a remote Tibetan monastery, hearing secrets from the monks there that had been passed down for thousands of years. Now, you've re-emerged and are ready to bring your investigative skills to bear once more.

    1) Not just a simpleton: Each night, you may investigate one player. You will receive an accurate result as to that player's alignment.

    2) Special Champion ability: If your investigation target comes back as mafia, your ITA hit rate will be boosted to 75% for the coming day phase. This ability is unique to you as a past Mafia Champion and cannot be acquired by normal means.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    KnightsofCydonia
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello KnightsofCydonia, you are dLGN, the Town Backup Alignment Cop. You're one of the best all-around players on the site (and on video!) and your name is still referred to with fear in certain circles, but due to the annoyances of real life you don't play much anymore. That said, you still occasionally come out for the big events if truly needed, and this is one of those times.

    1) The Path to Success: Upon the original Town Alignment Cop's death, each night, you may investigate one player. You will receive an accurate result as to that player's alignment.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    112
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello 112, you are Lissa, the Town Lifeblood. You've been on MU since the beginning, know the site's history better than probably any living soul, and are one of the most universally beloved figures in the community. Over time, you have transitioned in your role on the site from super reliable player to head Community Contributor (RIP oranges), to an absolutely critical member of the moderation team, including - if rumor is correct - being Thingyman's hitman for Champs. To properly commemorate your wide-ranging impact on MU, you have a variety of powers at your disposal.

    1) You signed up for the game, play it!: One of your primary duties on the moderation staff is to police flakers in games. Each night, you may select one player to kill with a slank vigilante shot. Your target must have made fewer than 20 posts during that day phase.

    2) Lissa's Funhouse: Everybody thought your secret lair was abandoned after the events of last summer, but you still have access to it in case of emergency. Remaining alive in the endgame of a mash certainly qualifies. If you are still alive on N6, you gain access to a nightly jailkeeper action.

    3) Happy Birthday Lissa: When every day is your birthday (at least according to the website), you can afford to be generous with your gifts. Each day, you may select one player to give a gift to. The gifts you can choose from are as follows:
    - A boosted ITA shot, either increasing their hit rate to 50% or by 30% for the next day, whichever is the larger net gain
    - A roleblock action
    - A second usage of their night action that night, if they have one. In other words, you are using a motivate action on them. (If they have multiple night actions, the one that is doubled will be randomly determined.)
    - A protect action

Your selection must be submitted at least one hour before End of Day. You may not give more than one gift to a single player. You may not repeat gifts until you have given out all four gifts.

    4) Debate paralysis: Your arguments with Makaze in modchat have become the stuff of legend, even filtering out to become common knowledge among the userbase. These debates have been known to last for hours at a time and completely swallow up any productive conversation for as long as they last. So long as both you and the Makaze role are both alive, your base ITA hit rate will be 5%. Should the Makaze role die during an ITA session, your hit rate will not be restored to the normal rate until the following session.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Beck
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Beck, you are Gamer Dude, the Town Hero Shooter. An early presence in the MU community and Season 1 Mafia Championship finalist, you've mostly faded into retirement as of late, only making an appearance in games a few times a year for the majors. When you resurface, you often deal a significant blow to the wolves by landing a well-placed shot on one of the deeper wolves in the game.

Clutch shot: If less than three people, including you, have fired at your ITA target at the end of the session in which you shot them, and your target is still alive at the end of the session, you may take a silent second shot at them with an unmodifiable 40% hitrate, submitted by PM. You must submit the second shot within 30 minutes of the ITA session ending (you may presubmit during the session). If you hit, the shot's source will be publicized as if your original shot hit with a delay; the shot will be quoted with a "Hit" and the flip. If you miss, nothing will be posted.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    gbsfranca
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello gbsfranca, you are Spartan057, the Town Devious Wish Granter. You play in most of the mashes onsite and most memorably faked a post restriction in a bastard mash, got wolves to invite you into a neighbor chat, convinced them you were a neutral who could win with them, and tricked them into triggering your ridiculous kill condition, enabling you to kill the last two wolves in the game. This time, you get to grant some normal wishes.

    1) I am above the fools: Once during each day phase, you may submit a post a player in the game made that day including the text "I wish" and written in bold purple text. If the host team considers the wish it contains reasonable, it will be granted. You may NOT grant two of the same type of wish; i.e. if someone on D2 wishes for a dayvig and you grant it, you can no longer grant a dayvig for the duration of the game.

    2) I wish for death: Once during the game, on Day 2 or later, you may submit a day vigilante kill on a player whose wish you granted on a previous day. To activate this ability, PM the host account. You may not submit this action during the first and last hours of the day, or during ITA sessions.

    3) To embody it and for it to embody me: You may not claim anything relating to granting wishes in the thread.. You may make wishes of your own, but not encourage others to make wishes. (You are permitted to claim your dayvig shot.)

    4) To reach the deepest depths, see what lays therein: If you are ever in an out-of-thread chat (event-related chats do not count), you are permitted to claim freely.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    The Sun Fan
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello The Sun Fan, you are bbt, the Town Mason. You're a regular in turbos and specchat, most notably having taken part in - and lost - quite a few bets over the course of Season 6 of Champs. However, you're most notable for your proficiency at the Codenames games in the Other Games forums. You and your partner have dominated the Codenames circuit ever since the game came to MU, and you'll be similarly paired up here.

    1) Gambler's Anonymous: You gain access to a private mason chat with your partner. That partner is aligned with the Town.

    Link to mason chat:

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Garden Gnome
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Garden Gnome, you are Keldeo, the Town Mason. You're a somewhat new presence on the site, having recently participated in Game 8 of Champs this year. However, before your Champs performance, you were a dynamo at the Codenames games, displaying a fantastic connection with your partner while solving the puzzles there. You'll make use of a partner here as well.

    1) Mentor chat once more: You gain access to a private mason chat with your partner. That partner is aligned with the Town.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Chemist1422
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Chemist1422, you are Animal Midwife, the Town Night Doctor. Originally migrating to MU by way of Student Doctor Network, you've recently leveled up and become a lot stronger at Mafia, to the point where you gained a spiffy undertitle for your skills at Turbos. With great power comes great responsibility, though, and now you need to start saving humans from wolf attacks.

    1) A Turbo Recovery: Each night phase, you may target a single player. That player will become immune to regular kills that same night. You may not target a player on consecutive nights.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Zork
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Zork, you are FTFlush, the Town Backup Night Doctor. A regular presence on the current turbo scene who occasionally ventures into long games, you spend werewolf games posting in Times New Roman and your time in Discord trying to convince people to make creative and bizarre bets on Champs games with you after losing with every conventional stake possible.

    1) I have a very legit doctorate: Thanks to your time spent with Animal Midwife, who you know to be the Town Night Doctor role in this game (the role name Animal Midwife, not the player), and your infiltration of Student Doctor Network, you've picked up some basic first aid. You're not technically licensed to actually practice, but in a pinch nobody is going to look too closely at that doctorate you bought online for $5. If the Animal Midwife, Town Night Doctor role should die, you will take over and become able to target a single player to protect each night. That player will become immune to regular kills for that night. You may not target a player on consecutive nights, and you may not protect yourself.

    2) Cat dadding: If you should be targeted for a kill during the night, you will rush to make sure your kittens are safe and fail to perform your Doctor action that night. This will occur regardless of whether you are protected from the kill.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Viggorous
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Viggorous, you are moth, the Town Desperado. Never one for complacency, your "question everything" playstyle has kept many a villager on his toes over the years as you ceaselessly hunt for (and occasionally shoot) deep wolves. Now, you're given the ultimate test: Find one and kill it, or die.

    1) BOOM BYE SCUM: On Day 3, you will be given a gun. At some point during the dayphase (not during the first and last hour of the day or during ITA sessions) you tag a user, tag the host account, and post "BOOM BYE SCUM". Your target must currently have ZERO votes, and cannot have been shot at during the previous ITA session. If your target is Mafia, they will be killed. If your target is Town, you will be killed.

    2) Kill streak: If you successfully shoot a target with your above ability, you will gain access to a new gun the following day (max one per day), under the same stipulations as before. This ability can repeat infinitely.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Empoof
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Bobbyb85/Empoof, you are SwedishSkumbag, the Town ITA Captain. You pour your soul into games and focus on clearing town and forming town circles, approaching the game much more from a perspective of who you don't want killed than who you do. You also enjoy leading ITA sessions, and in this game we'll help you out with doing that effectively.

    1) Don't ITA these: At least 10 minutes before each ITA session, you may post a list of people to defend from ITAs, labeled something to the effect of "Don't ITA these" (exact language not required, but it should in some form clearly say to not fire ITA shots at them), and PM the host account a link to the post. You may have up to 3 targets each session. All ITA shots at your list will be made half as likely to hit for that session.

    2) Towncircle: At least 10 minutes before each ITA session, you may post a list of people to boost ITA shots from, labeled something to the effect of "Town circle" or "Top town" (exact language not required), and PM the host account a link to the post. You may have up to 3 targets each session. All ITA shots fired by your targets will have a doubled hitrate for that session, up to a max of 50%; your boost cannot increase a hitrate past that mark. The boost only lasts for that ITA session; if they do not fire during that session, it will be lost.

    3) Shots list: At least 10 minutes before each ITA session, you may post a list of people to amplify ITA shots directed at, labeled something to the effect of "Shots list" (exact language not required), and PM the host account a link to the post. You may have up to 3 targets each session. All ITA shots fired at your targets that session with a hitrate of below 25% will be boosted to a 25% hitrate (higher hitrates will not be affected).

Note for all three of these abilities that your lists may be longer than 3 names, but the top 3 names must be the names that you want the effects applied to.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Jackofhearts2005
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Jackofhearts2005, you are bopolis, the Town Poisoner. You're one of the best all-around players and balancers on the site, though you've mostly retired to an advisory capacity on MU in recent months. This allows you to spend more time at your beloved Dunkin, where you've concocted a truly devilish scheme to keep those annoying wolves at bay.

    1) Fatal discharge: By adding just the right amount of laxative solution to Dunkin products, you can send a target of your choice to mimic Elvis's death. Each night, you may select one player to poison. That player will be publicly announced to be poisoned at the start of the day phase and will die at the end of the day phase if they are not healed.

    2) Remedy: Only the true fools create a poison without also creating the antidote. Should the Town Poison Healer die, you will inherit their abilities as their backup.

    3) The Goldilocks Zone: You have known for some time now that four is the perfect number of nested spoilers for comedy purposes. Once a day, if someone in the game uses exactly four nested spoilers, you may boost their next ITA shot up to a hitrate of 40%. PM the host account with the post for this ability to take affect.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Jaleb
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Jaleb, you are Whiskeyjack, the Town Auditor. Legendary for your Championship-winning performance in Season 3, you have always been a beacon of villagery light, causing wolves everywhere to buckle under the weight of your questions and to cower before your wroth should you find their answers lacking. It's time once again you showed these young bucks how the real king of the jungle catches wolves.

    1) I'm obvious town: A particular catchphrase of yours. Should you ever reach 30% of the total votes (rounded down) at one hour before End of Day, you will be Host-revealed in the Game Thread as a “Town”.

Should you claim or in any way hint to any part of your role, this power will become null and void.

Should you manage to make it to Day 5 without activating this action, you will be considered "obvious town" and you will lose this power in exchange for a single-use night alignment peek.

    2) Special Champion ability: It's time to call for a full accounting of actions. Once in the game, during the night, you may submit a track action on a target. You will receive a list of ALL of your target's visits throughout the game, not just that night phase. This ability is unique to you as a past Mafia Champion and cannot be acquired by normal means.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Jamezbeast
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Lads/Jamezbeast, you are Shad, the Town Retrospective Tracker. You're a Dragonmount transplant who these days almost exclusively plays only mashes. Lover of black metal and user of forums in their infancy, you have computer files and video game saves older than some of the hosts of this game. In this game, you'll dig through old files and forum threads to find out what actions were taken on previous nights.

    1) Search personal archives: On each night starting Night 2, you may track another player retroactively and check their visits on a previous night. Choose both a name and a night when submitting your action.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Cron
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Cron, you are iaafr, the Town Poison Healer. You have a hatred of capitalization and a love of experimentation. You're not as arrogant to believe that your dabbles in experimental substances have unlocked the keys to the secrets of the universe, but you do believe that they can expand your mind. Within the past week, you just uncovered a breakthrough that these same substances are also capable of warding off common poisons. What luck!

    1) A microdose a day keeps the Reaper away: At the Start of Day, if applicable, the host will announce anyone who has been poisoned overnight and will die at the end of that day phase. Should you choose to do so, you may PM the host account the name of a single player who you wish to save from poison. As soon as you submit your selection, the player will be considered healed, but there will not be any public indication of your action having been processed. You must make your selection at least one hour prior to End of Day.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Arapocalypse
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Arapocalypse, you are Allundberg, the Town Turbo King. You have been on MU since the beginning and have always been one of the nicest and friendliest members of the community, though your prodigious skill at mafia often gets overlooked. You know the truth, though. You know that you're the best Danish mafia player out there (Thingy's a fraud), and you definitely know that you're the best in a high-speed situation.

    1) I'm the REAL Turbo King: Should you be one of the first five voters on a wagon that becomes the lead wagon within the final 18 minutes of the day phase and lynches somebody from the Mafia faction, you will gain immunity from all forms of death (the only exceptions being a strongman kill and a lynch) for the next full night cycle and day cycle. This immunity can repeat if the conditions are met, but not for consecutive days.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Distorted
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Distorted, you are Makaze, the Town Modbot Architect. A self-taught programmer and admin of the site since its creation, you built the incredibly useful Modbot as well as implementing a ton of fantastic mafia-relevant improvements to the forum software. You also rule the Mafia Universe Discord server's #debate channel.

    1) Implement new role: Each night, you may target a player and give them a one-shot use of one of the following actions (for use starting the following night):

-Motion Detector: Learns if the target was either visited, or made a visit to another player. True/False result.
-Voyeur: Learns what action types targeted the target.
-Neapolitan: Learns whether the target is exactly Vanilla Town.

You must give out all three actions before repeating any action. Once you have targeted a player with this ability, you may not use this ability on them again.

    2) Fix modbot issue: Twice during the game, you may target a player to "fix" their action. If they were roleblocked on the previous night, their action is processed that night. You may not target the same player both times.

    3) Debate paralysis: Your arguments with Lissa in modchat have become the stuff of legend, even filtering out to become common knowledge among the userbase. These debates have been known to last for hours at a time and completely swallow up any productive conversation for as long as they last. So long as both you and the Lissa role are both alive, your base ITA hit rate will be 5%. Should the Lissa role die during an ITA session, your hit rate will not be restored to the normal rate until the following session.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Boquise
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Boquise, you are SmartBomb, the Town Paranoid Neighborizer. Also sometimes known as Mikan Tsumiki, you are all too familiar with both sides of fooling people in neighbor chats, more notably having endgamed last Anniversary as a neighborizing neutral and stomped another mash as a wolf who could PM every other player in the game while also putting in some serious work in wolfchat. You've decided that you've had enough of this nonsense overall and want nothing more than a NICE, SAFE, FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD WHERE THIS COULD NEVER POSSIBLY HAPPEN AGAIN.

    1) weh: You start the game in a neighbor chat with Steele. https://www.mafiauniverse.com/forums...-Neighbor-Chat You are unaware of your neighbor's alignment.

    2) I HATE THAT YOU GAVE ME THIS ABILITY SET: Each day, you may select someone to be added to your neighborhood at End of Day. This is not bound to the normal Day Action deadline, as it is functionally a presubmission; you may submit/change your target at any time up until End of Day.

    3) DON'T TALK TO NEIGHBORS: Thanks to a past experience you probably don't want to be reminded of even this much, you're deeply distrustful of neighbor chats. Every even night, you may alignment peek a person in your neighborhood.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    eevee
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello eevee, you are JohnCarter, the Town Neighbor. Will 2019 be the year of the Heracross? You certainly have faith that both your forum and Discord avatars (the Discord one complete with the Santa hat year-round) will be in vogue before you know it. An easygoing Australian who made his way here from Neoseeker, you think you've found a kindred spirit to discuss heady affairs of the world with. Hopefully you won't get stabbed in the back!

    1) You are so $%#! at the Neighbor ability JohnCarter: You start the game in a neighbor chat with Boquise. https://www.mafiauniverse.com/forums...-Neighbor-Chat You are unaware of your neighbor's alignment.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Spartan057
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Spartan057, you are Dels, the Town Guardian. Your passion for and dedication to Mafia is the stuff of legends and was the backbone of your run in Season 4 of Champs. You're fiercely dedicated to those who you consider your allies in any game and you're more than ready to assist them in a time of need here as well.

    1) The circle of trust must stand: On any night starting on Night 1, you may give a bulletproof vest to a single target. That vest will protect against a single instance of most gun-based forms of death (standard kills, ITA shots, etc), including potentially a nightkill from the same night it is given out. Upon the target either using up its vest (you will be notified of this) or dying, you may give out a new vest the next night phase, but not before. You may not give out a second vest to any target.

    2) Special Champion ability: You have your own single bulletproof vest present from the start of the game. This ability is unique to you as a past Mafia Champion and cannot be acquired by normal means.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Shattiel
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Hardy/Shattiel, you are Zack, the Town Vigilante/$%#!post Commander. You're very handsome and good at Mafia, and you may or may not secretly be Zapp Brannigan in disguise. While you don't have the firepower of the Democratic Order of Planets behind you here, you do have a gun and your prodigious leadership abilities. Knowing you, that will serve nicely.

    1) buckle up cowboy: Each night, you may submit a vigilante shot, which will kill a target.

    2) If we can hit that bullseye, the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards: If your vigilante shot from the previous night kills a member of the Mafia faction, and you successfully use an actual Zapp Brannigan quote (we recommend Google) within reasonably proper context in the following dayphase, you will gain a second vigilante shot for the next night phase. PM the quoted post link to the host account for approval. This ability can repeat as long as all conditions are satisfied (should you put together a streak, both of your shots need to hit mafia to keep it going). Checkmate.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

Completed Mafia roles, continued BATMAN Bunny ...

    Mafia roles, continued

    BATMAN
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello BATMAN, you are Amrock, the Mafia Public Odd-Day Vigilante. You have a whole era of closed-setup turbos basically named for you and really enjoy designing and running games. Rumor has it that you're even majoring in Mafia Theory in college. You also love wolfing. You find that you can make up and post basically whatever you want, and enjoy breaking outside of what people expect to be "things wolves would fake" - you're a brazen, extremely high-posting wolf. In this game, we hope you can take advantage of that to dayvig villagers in plain sight.

    1) Just lynch villagers: On each odd-numbered day starting Day 1, you may target a player to immediately die. In order to do so, you must post "kill [name]" in bolded blue or bolded purple text. It may be surrounded by as much other bold blue/purple text as you would like. After doing this, you must PM us a link to the post within 15 minutes. Attempting to fire at a wolf will cause your shot to fail. You may shoot on Day 1, but it must be at least 6 hours into the dayphase and your target must have posted at least 75 times. Your shot on Day 1 must follow the above conditions.

    2) You can get away with anything: You may not fire at someone who posted less than 150 times the previous day. (On Day 1, the post threshold is 75 as opposed to 150, and refers to the current day instead.)

    3) No, [player] isn't villagery: If you lynch high-posting villagers and are in the first half (rounded up) of the wagon, you receive various boosts to your vig shot. If you manage to do this on consecutive days without a vig shot in between, the larger of the boosts applies.

Post count of lynched villager Resulting boost
100-199 posts Your next vig shot cannot be stopped.
200-249 posts Your next vig shot is cannot be stopped, and is silent.
250-299 posts Your next vig shot is cannot be stopped, is silent, and is not limited by "You can get away with anything".
300+ posts Your next vig shot is cannot be stopped. Your vig shot is permanently silent, and "You can get away with anything" is permanently lifted.

If you are in the first 25% (rounded up) of the wagon, you receive an additional tier of boost above that matching their post count.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Bunny
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Bunny, you are Nippleman, the Mafia Salt-Powered Rampager. You may be known as mild-mannered Gentleman Johnny, responsible for guiding students to success in real life, but let's be real: That's just one of those masks you're so fond of wearing. Underneath, you're the Salt King, and you're ready to unleash.

    1) Your bullets only serve to anger me: After each ITA window ends, you will gain X number of ITA shots where X = the number of shots taken at you that window. (i.e. by default you have 1 ITA shot to use per day, but say you are shot at 3 times during an ITA window, you now have 4 ITA shots to use that day). These extra shots will carry over for one ITA window at most - i.e. if you receive them in the last ITA window of Day 3, they will disappear after the first ITA window of Day 4. The number of additional shots you receive in a given session cannot exceed 4.

    2) Beserker Rage: You are completely immune from having a boosted hit rate from any possible source, and should you receive protection your base hit rate will drop to 0% for the duration of that protection.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Egix96
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Egix96, you are yogsloth, the Mafia Rolecop. You are one of the funniest and most passionate players in the community, gleefully skewering fools and derps on your way to victory. You've been off and on the site for a number of years now, but you first came to prominence in Season 3 of Champs where, as a wolf, you denied attempted town derpclears left and right in order to steamroll to victory.

    1) Officer Yog, Reporting for Duty: Each night, you may target a player with a rolecop action. You will receive an accurate result about that player's role and abilities.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    ladd
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello ladd, you are DWetzel, the Mafia Original Champion. Five seasons of Champs have come and gone, with a sixth currently in progress, and you have mostly faded from the scene, but your titanic legacy persists. You were the OG, the first Champion. You've decided it was high time to remind all these kids why you won Champs in the first place and defend your crown from these would-be usurpers.

    1) The Hunt is On: Each night phase, you may submit a list of five players to the host account. You will receive a result informing you of whether or not that group of five contains someone with a former Mafia Champion role flavor.

    2) Special Champion ability: Each former Mafia Champion role has access to a special Champion ability. Upon that role's death, you will assume that ability for yourself. These exact abilities are unknown to you at the start, but will be revealed to you (slightly modified to fit mafia utility in some cases) upon gaining access to each individual ability.

    3) coolkid: Should your ability "The Hunt is On" identify a Mafia Champion role in the group of five names you submit, your ITA hit rate will be boosted to 75% on the following day.

    4) Whiskeyjack: Once in the game, during the night, you may submit a track action on a target. You will receive a list of ALL of your target's visits throughout the game, not just that night phase.

    5) Dels: You receive a single bulletproof vest for yourself. This vest will protect you from a single instance of most gun-based forms of death (regular kills, ITA shots, etc).

    6) GeneralHankerchief: You receive exactly one douse and exactly one ignite, which may be used on the same night should you choose to do so.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Dyslexicon
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello joebronykek/Dyslexicon, you are LordQuas, the Mafia Tracker. You're a talented host who's put together a number of well-received small games and then later on two mashes, but recently you've been getting into specchat bets during Champs season. You've been winning them, too (we haven't forgotten about the dreaded Sauce Sub). But with winning comes collecting on them, and you need to track people down to make sure they deliver. We've decided to lend a hand.

    1) Pay Up: Each night phase, you may track a single player. You will receive a result of who that player visited at night, if anyone.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Tea
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello effen/Tea, you are WaywardSon, the Mafia Universal Backup. You're one of MU's true working-class heroes. You /in as many games as you can and host a bunch too, ensuring that the site's bread and butter (that's mafia games, btw) keeps running smoothly. The sheer volume of games you've been a part of has ensured that you can slot into pretty much any role as needed without any issue - your upcoming participation in the Season 6 Finale is proof enough of this.

    1) Filling the Gap: Once during the game, you may choose a dead mafia-aligned role to inherit. You will become a copy of that role, minus any abilities falling under the categories listed below. You may do this either as a day action or untamperable night action, but not in the first or last hour of day or in the time between the night action submission deadline and Start of Day.

    Restrictions:
-Any limited-use role shot usage and target restrictions the role accumulated will be copied as well.
-Any ability that explicitly already has a backup will not be inherited. If you aren't sure whether a certain role/ability qualifies, feel free to ask.
-Any passive ability or passive part of a larger ability will not be inherited.
-You may not target the roles with the following characters: DWetzel, GeneralHankerchief.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Professor Plum
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello annulus/Professor Plum, you are Frog, the Mafia Nonsense Chart Creator. Over the past year, you've designed and run two well-received mashes in SSBU and One Piece, but these feats pale in comparison to your true masterworks on MU: your charts. Awe-inspiring and complex pieces of creation, you left no bit of formatting unexplored to help the other players visualize your conclusion. You quickly learned that your chart-making powers could be used for evil as well as good - and it was a lot more fun to do so.

    1) What unholy abomination is this: You may create a spreadsheet-based chart and submit it to the hosts for approval. The chart:
    - Must be in screenshot form to comply with site rules
    - Must have at least 3 separate colors on it and is preferably color-coded in general
    - Must have (or fake) data that leads to conclusions that implicate primarily town players.

Should the chart meet these guidelines and be approved, you can post it in the thread. If the player you implicate becomes at least tied for the second-place wagon (with more than 4 votes) at any point in the day, you will receive a one-shot accelerate ability. Acceleration causes a night action to be processed before all other actions, making it unaffected by any kind of tampering. This ability is single-use; you will need to go through the above chart process (limited to once per day) to gain additional uses.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    JMurder3
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello JMurder3, you are Thingyman, the Mafia Romantic. Founder of Mafia Universe and connoisseur of horrific puns, you've certainly had a busy year. Everyone always said that this website was your one true love, but you proved them all wrong by appearing on the Danish reality show Married at First Sight in an attempt to find a wife - and one year on, the marriage you got out of it is still going strong. Having been through the rigmarole of that entire process and come out the better for it, you've decided to use your insider knowledge to play matchmaker for MU's userbase.

    1) Gift ved første blik: Once in the game, during the night phase, you may select any two players. Those players will become Lovers and will be granted access to a Lovers' chat at the start of the next day phase. If one or both of the players you select is already a Lover, then nothing will happen and you will be refunded use of this ability.

    2) Nondisclosure agreement: Rumor has it that there were stiff penalties in place for spoiling that you and Kathrine chose to stay married before the show aired its season finale. Once in the game, should any player publicly claim to be part of a neighborhood, mason pair, or Lovers' pair, you may sic your lawyers on the target and activate this ability, immediately closing the associated chat and cutting off all private communication between parties for 24 hours while they investigate this matter. After 24 hours have passed, the chat will reopen. You may use this ability at any time, but it will not be refunded if you use it on an invalid target. When using this ability, please quote the offending post.

    3) The Highest Form of Humor: Each day, you must include a pun in one of your posts that incorporates either someone's username or an event that's occurred. You must send a link to this post to the host account. Failure to do so will increase your vulnerability to ITA shots on the following day.

Note: The way ITA vulnerability works is that it changes the base hitrate of shots fired at a player with increased vulnerability. All shots with a hitrate below the vulnerability number (and above 0) will have their hitrate raised to that number; shots that already have a hitrate of the vulnerability number or higher will not be affected.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Litten
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Litten, you are Empoof, the Mafia Vigilante. Music lover, gourmet extraordinaire, traditional holder of killpower, and everyone's favorite baseline statistical metric, what's not to love about the legendary penguin detective? Formerly derided as an "easy read", you've since upped your wolfgame to such a degree that you're now considered terrifying as EITHER alignment, especially in large games such as this one. Rumor has it that you're a magnet for vig shots, however, so for this game you've decided to take matters into your own hands.

    1) I'm the vig and I AM Empoof: Each night, you may kill a target in addition to your team's factional nightkill. On any night in which you do so, you are immune to all other immediate forms of killpower.

    2) V.O.R.E.: At any time prior to Night 1, designate any Town-aligned player in the game as the Replacement Empoof. At no time during the game may any member of the mafia team target the Replacement Empoof with a kill or ITA shot; attempting to ITA shoot the Replacement Empoof will result in this entire ability being rendered null and void, while any other kill attempt while ITAs are still present will simply fail. Any kill attempt after ITAs have permanently ended will also result in this entire ability being rendered null and void. If you outlive the Replacement Empoof, you will be given a one-time day vigilante, which you may use to kill any target at any time during a day phase, excluding times when the ITA window is open and the first and last hour of the phase.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Eragon
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Magenta & Gray/Eragon, you are Chris, the Mafia Arms Dealer. You were a moderator in the very early days of the site and are a living legend in multiple Mafia communities. But now, like any self-respecting mostly retired player, you spend the bulk of your time in Discord laughing at all of the current players whose reads are nowhere near on the level of what yours would have been. Much like your idol Tom Brady though, you have no intention of walking away for good, and are ready to raise hell with the role that you yourself created back in the day.

    1) In Touchdown Tom's hands, a football is a deadly weapon: Once in the game, during the night phase, you may use an arms dealer action on a player. If that player (who we'll call Player A) visits another player (who we'll call Player B) at night, whatever action Player A would normally perform will instead be a kill. If Player A visits multiple people at night, the person they kill will be randomly selected. If Player A does not visit anyone, this ability will not be refunded. If Player A was attempting to perform a vig shot on Player B, Player A will die instead.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    bopolis
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello bopolis, you are Beck, the Mafia Redirector and ITA Administrator. An excellent player and significant presence on MU for most of its existence, you took some time away to be busy with life, but you returned recently and participated in Champs again. You've particularly notably had strong wolf performances in high-profile games, and have also hosted quite a few extremely well-liked games.

    1) Catch 'em all: You're a big fan of Nintendo games, particularly the Pokemon series. In this game, instead of directing moves in Pokemon battles, you'll (re)direct actions. Each night, you may redirect a player's night actions to another player. For example, let's say you target Player A and Player C. If Player A is targeting Player B with their night actions, Player A would instead target Player C. You must specify which player is being redirected and which player is the target.

    2) Back to School: Recently, you've gone back to school to get a degree in Education Administration. In this game, you oversee the village roles able to amplify ITA shots. You have the information that there are 7 town-aligned roles (note: the number will be redacted from your flip) with some sort of ability to increase the effectiveness of another player's ITA shot, and you will be informed whenever a the ITA hitrate of a wolf is boosted (but not of any details about the boost).

    3) Move Tutor: On any night, instead of using your Redirector action, you may spend the night training another member of your team to take over your Redirect if you should die. This action cannot be tampered with. If you should die, your most recent target will gain your ability 1) in addition to the rest of their role. You may use this multiple times, but only your most recent target will inherit your ability.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    RedFlavor
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello RedFlavor, you are Five, the Mafia Background Checker. You're a regular on the All-Stars circuit whose big coming-out party on forums was last year during Champs. You never once failed to impress in all three of your appearances that season, but your finest hour was probably sniffing out an important town PR purely through a quickly-rescinded fakeclaim designed to generate reactions. We were so impressed by this play we've decided to make your life a little easier by outright giving you the ability to do this here.

    1) Seek and Destroy: Each night, you may investigate one player. You will receive a result informing you of whether or not that player has an ability that gives them killpower of any sort. Note that "killpower", for the purposes of this role, means the ability to kill outside of an ITA session or being assigned a factional kill at night.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    dobby
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello dobby, you are Alette, the Mafia Can't-Miss* Sniper. An early mainstay of MU games with a good heart, you've since mostly departed from the scene in what can only be described as a display of good sense. However, you're still active in the EIMM community and regularly play League of Legends with a number of MUers, who, being the unforgiving bastards that they are, never fail to remind you of that one time you somehow completely muffed this one shot. You've taken this to heart and have since tried to perfect your aiming skills across all games - though results may vary.

    1) Revenge for all the Alette memes: With your rigorous training, you've come as close as you possibly can to a perfect hit rate in ITAs. The best you can do is 60%. This is your base ITA hit rate.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    sheepsaysmeep
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello sheepsaysmeep, you are Chemist1422, the Mafia Claim Addict. This was the situation: It was early on in the Ducktales mash, you were facing some heat, and you decided to outright claim neutral - as a neutral - in order to direct the town's wrath elsewhere. Against all odds, this play worked and you lasted all the way to endgame before being shot by the paranoid mafia. You think you might be onto something, though.

    1) Surely this won't go wrong: Each day phase, you may PM the host account one post where you have explicitly claimed a role or ability (flavor claiming is against the rules - do not make that part of your claim). You must have made this claim and PM'd us at least one hour before End of Day. Should your claim be accepted, your base ITA hit rate will increase by 10% starting the following day.

This ability is repeatable for as long as you are alive. Your maximum base hit rate, through claim increases, is 65%. You may only increase your hit rate 10% per day. You must make a new claim, of something you have not claimed before, on a new day to get the 10% increase that day. At no point may you hint that your repeated and probably-contradictory claims are a feature of your actual role - you must play this straight.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    baudib1
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello baudib1, you are Roman, the Mafia Peek Vigilante. You're mostly a part-time player and walrus enthusiast now, but back in your heyday you were a master at shrugging aside conventional mechanics such as ignoring peek results if you truly believed in your reads - and more often than not, your instincts were correct. Now, you've decided to cut out the middleman entirely and just blow the peeked players to hell as soon as you can.

    1) I'll just pretend I didn't believe the cop: Each night, you may quote a post made in the gamethread that explicitly contains a peek result and PM it to the host account. The peeked player will die. If a post contains multiple peeks, the first listed peeked player will die. Regardless of which post you quote, the original source of the peek must have come from someone not on the mafia team.

Alternatively, you have the option of doing this during the day starting on Day 2. You cannot use this ability on a day where you have done so on the previous night. Should you do this during the day, you may not submit this action during the first or last hour of the day or during ITA sessions. Should you activate your ability during the day, then you will not be able to use this ability again until two dayphases later (i.e. if you use it on D2, you can't use it again until D4 or N4).

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Enoch Kaine
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Enoch Kaine, you are Monstrman, the Mafia Backup Peek Denier. A legendarily dedicated player and common early seer target, you've mostly grown tired of all this play surrounding peeks and you just wish people would get past it and play the damn game. You're ready to lend your skills doing such, but there's one small problem: You have a tendency to waffle between joining the game and /outing so much that you end up being a late arrival to the party. That's ok though; the mafia's main anti-peek role just died and they really need some way to pick up the slack.

    1) In too deep to lose to a cop: Once per night, you may roleblock a single player. This action will go through if and only if your target is peeking a player's alignment that night. You may not target a player on consecutive nights.

This ability only becomes active upon the death of the Mafia Peek Vigilante.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    TehBankertin
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello TehBankertin, you are Capage, the Mafia 1-Shot Super-Commuter. You're a true Renaissance man, being known for writing high quality flavor in addition to your strong gameplay. Very recently, you've added romanticism to your portfolio! (We won't talk about how this came in the form of you posting in bright pink comic sans font in your Champs game due to a lost bet nor the awkward situation you found yourself in that was the backstory for a certain memetic post you made.) You've decided to further pursue this new interest of yours.

    1) Also, I need to think about love: Once during the game, you may commute for a day. You will be untargetable by actions and ITA shots for the next 24 hours. You may not use any actions, fire any ITA shots, or join any events during the time you are commuted, but you may still vote.

You may not submit your commute in the first or last hour of the day, during ITA sessions or within 10 minutes of them starting, or during the 2 hours allocated for night action processing. If you commute as a night action, it will last for that night and the following full day phase. If you commute as a day action, it will last for 24 hours to the minute.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Riki
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

    [CENTER][/CENTER‬]

Hello Riki, you are Jaleb, the Mafia Roleblocker/Carry Specialist. A long-time mash presence originating from DailyMafia, earlier this year you brought back a victory from a steep numerical position in the One Punch Mash, turning a 1:12 situation with four clear villagers into a Final 3 win. You also competently wielded your nightly roleblock to prevent impactful village actions.

    1) Nope, you don’t get to do that: Each night, you may roleblock a player. You may not target the same player on consecutive nights.

    2) Time to carry: If the currently living members of the mafia team make up 15% or less of the live playerlist going into a given Night, you will also receive a vanilla peek (result of Vanilla/Not Vanilla) on the player you roleblock. If the currently living members of the mafia team make up 10% or less of the live playerlist going into a given Night, this will instead be a full role peek. If the currently living members of the mafia team make up 5% or less of the live playerlist going into a given Night, in addition to the full role peek you will be able to roleblock a second player (without a second role peek attached), and you will retain this second roleblock if the percentage of wolves on the playerlist rises back above 5%.

    3) Does it really count as bussing?: Each day, you may choose to set your ITA hitrate to 0% for the day. This must be submitted outside of ITA sessions, and not within 10 minutes of the beginning of an ITA session.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    starpendle
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello blinkskater/starpendle, you are GeneralHankerchief, the Mafia Arsonist. You struck fear in the hearts of MU first with your wolfing performance in the Season 5 finale of Champs, and then later with an even more dastardly creation in Mountainous Arson. You've decided to combine those skills to inflict even more pain on MU's townies this time around.

    1) Mountainous Arson: Each night, you can choose to either douse a single target or ignite all doused targets. Ignites will kill everyone who is doused.

    2) Special Champion ability: You may douse a target the same night you choose to ignite. It is your choice as to whether this target dies in your ignite or factors into the next round of dousing. This ability is unique to you as a past Mafia Champion and cannot be acquired by normal means.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Jarizok
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Jarizok, you are mhsmith0, the Mafia Goon. Despite having an excellent track record on sites such as Play Diplomacy and MafiaScum, you're mostly known on MU for being a longtime setup reviewer and a proud advocate for relentless $%#!posting moreso than for any game-related exploits. For this, you blame Modbot's eternal vendetta against you, always randing you wolf.

Unfortunately, we randed this game through Modbot as well. Life is simply unfair... don't you think?

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Icibalus
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Icibalus, you are t om, the Mafia Cloaker. When you're not on the summer concert circuit, you're low-key one of the best wolves on the site, constantly slipping by undetected despite the playerbase's universal "don't let him slip by undetected, he's a good wolf" opinion of you. You've decided it was time to teach others your ways.

    1) The Mustache is what Distracts: Once a night, you can target your fellow mafia teammate. Any action they perform that night is rendered undetectable. You may not target the same player with this ability on consecutive nights.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Impeaceful
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello 0Ix/Impeaceful, you are Scare, the Mafia ITA Bulletproof. Known for being one of the most fearless wolves on the site, there is no play you won't try in the thread that keeps your teammates alive and puts townies up for the lynch. Naturally, this kind of playstyle tends to attract a lot of unwanted attention. We've decided to help with that problem.

    1) I'm just trying something! All ITA shots that would ordinarily hit you will fail to kill you.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Contrainer
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Contrainer, you are Mexal, the Mafia Spam Vigilante. You're a thoughtful and capable player of either alignment, demonstrating as much with your second place finish in last year's Champs. The problem with your thoughtfulness, though, is that nobody else is. Instead, they just keep posting, never taking the time to step back and THINK. Well, you've had enough. You're ready to take vengeance on all of those who made your life miserable.

    1) Get Off My Lawn: If a town player meets one of the two following qualifications: a) at least 300 posts in the previous dayphase, b) at least 100 posts in the previous dayphase AND use of Size 7 text in any of their posts made that day, you may kill them at night. Should you kill somebody who meets the second qualification, you must submit quoted evidence of their use of Size 7 text from that day with your action.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Paratroopa
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello TheMaverickk/Paratroopa, you are Montecore, the Wolf Strongmanizer. Fed up with MU's rampant townspeak, you've mostly retreated to your home gym where you still occasionally film workout videos and post them on POG. However, you've decided to share the wealth and are accepting applications from people who want to get swole.

    1) A Virgin No Longer: Once a night, you can target your fellow mafia teammate. Their action (maximum of one), whatever it is, is guaranteed to go through, no matter what other factors are in play. Once you have targeted a teammate with this ability, you may not do so again for the remainder of the game.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    PLZLEAVEDUCK
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello PLZLEAVEDUCK, you are TehBankertin, the Mafia Suicide Bomber. In last year's Anniversary, you were a wolf and died to the friendly fire of an adjacent-post suicide bomber. You were... not happy with wolfchat. This time, you've insisted on taking the use of the role into your own hands.

    1) STOP POSTING AT :40: Once during the game starting on Day 2, and not in the first or last hour of the day or during ITA sessions, you may quote a player and post "STOP POSTING AT :40" in response to their post in bold red text. Both you and your target will unstoppably die, regardless of any sort of preventative effects. You must privately inform the host account when doing this.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Phighter
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Phighter, you are Voxxicus, the Mafia Analyst/Deep Cover Operative. A very dedicated (and opinionated) werewolf legend rarely seen in the wild, you’re known for never being mislynched as a villager and having gourmet tastes in poultry. You spend your time deeply immersed in whatever you’re doing, processing information into forms other less driven people can comprehend, and will do whatever it takes to win a game at risk of life and/or limb.

    1) Sabermetrics: Each night, starting Night 1, you may submit an educated guess of how many players will die during the next day/night cycle. If you’re correct to within one death, you will gain a roleblock ability usable the following night. This ability will expire the night after ITAs stop.

    2) [Flavor I'll never write goes here]: You are a strong proponent of bussing, and have a tendency to ruthlessly bus your entire team and leverage it into a win. We won't reward you for bussing here, but you will get stronger when your teammates die. When 25% or more of your teammates are dead, you gain access to the rolecop ability where you may investigate one player at night. When 50% or more of your teammates are dead, you gain access to the roleblock ability, where you may block one player at night. When 75% or more of your teammates are dead, you gain access to the vigilante ability, where you may kill one player at night. If you are the last mafia member alive, your vigilante ability becomes a day vigilante, where you PM the host account at any time with your kill choice provided it is not in the first or last hour of the day or during ITA sessions.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    GreenCatKid
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello GreenCatKid, you are DS, the Mafia Partial Role Thief. One of MU's brashest and most colorful bad boys, you are absolutely convinced that you were robbed of greater glory in both seasons of Champs that you participated in due to never being killed or lynched in any of said games. Since this gross miscarriage of justice will apparently never corrected, you've decided to even the score by engaging in a little bit of thievery of your own.

    1) DS stands for Dirty Stealer:Once during the game, you may attempt to steal (part of) someone's role. To use this action, during any single night phase, you may submit a post where someone claimed a night action; note that chat-related night actions may not be stolen in this way, nor may limited-shot actions. If they possess the action they claimed, you will receive two uses of that action, and they will lose access to it.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Dad
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Dad, you are SilverKeith, the Mafia Google Translate Gremlin. You are a hero to non-native English speakers everywhere. After having taken multiple levels in badass since your first game on MU in 2016, your legend culminated with a clutch sub-in performance in the Season 5 finale last year. In that game, you subbed into a wolf slot that was squarely in the POE. On the back of killer tone and a tremendous effort, you turned the slot around and were a big part of the mafia team's eventual sweep. What's even more impressive is that you did none of this in your native language! Now it's time to show your true mastery of the game and knock all of those native English speakers down a level.

    1) I'll be back soon, I buy bread: Each night, you may target one player. That player will be sent an offer at the start of the next day. If they decline the offer (or if they do not respond), their vulnerability to ITA shots will increase by a moderate amount.

If they accept the offer, for the next day phase up until the end of the second ITA session, that player MUST run all of their posts through Google Translate, putting what they say in English through a language of your choosing and then having Google translate it BACK to English. The player will not be allowed to mention that they have been placed under this restriction in the thread.

The languages you may assign players are as follows:

    Spanish
    French
    German
    Italian
    Latin
    Russian
    Chinese (either)
    Japanese
    Arabic
    Swahili
    Hebrew
    Hindi
    Danish

You (and the mafia team) are responsible for determining if a player has not used Google Translate if they have accepted the offer and must submit potential rulebreaking posts to the hosts.

You may not repeat languages. You may not target a player more than once. If the player accepts the offer but does not follow the Google Translate procedure, their ITA vulnerability will increase by a larger amount than if they had refused the offer.

    Five
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Five, you are Mantichora, the Mafia Golden God Aspirant. You are a man of many passions and talents: Your skill at wolfing, your penchant for making Galaxy Brain plays, your love of gifs, and your expertise at creating fun bastard games. Now, you will use all of these skills in an attempt to achieve your life's goal: getting a yellow role and becoming a true Golden God.

    1) The Pledge: If at any point, a player uses the MU (riceyee) emote, the Smug Dance gif, or the MU (hattip) emote, you may invite them into a night chat. Your chat may be found here. You may submit your invites to the host account at any time during the day phase, including the first/last hours of the day and during ITA sessions. Invites will be given out immediately after the role PM of the lynched player is posted in the thread. Please provide proof that the player(s) you invite have met the requirements. The image they post must be unique; quoting other posts with the gifs/emotes in them does not count. Maximum two new players per night, previous occupants get to remain until dead.

    2) The Turn: You may talk about whatever you wish in the night chat, but your goal is to get the players in the night chat to post something in bold yellow (or gold) text at some point during the game. The players must post something unique; quoting other posts with bold yellow text in them does not count.

    3) The Prestige: At any point in the game, you may type the phrase "I AM THE GOLDEN GOD", also in bold yellow (or gold) text. At this point, any and all players part of your night chat who have posted in bold yellow/gold text will immediately die and you will have achieved apotheosis. Please inform the host account privately when you do this.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    iaafr
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello iaafr, you are DaveDob, the Mafia Event Gambler. The Best Player In The Zoom™, you have decided that the ups and downs of regular mafia aren't quite enough to give you thrills anymore. Fully embracing your degenerate nature, you've started wagering on the outcomes of events in mashes.

    1) A Fair Enough Wager: Each night phase, you can gamble on whether somebody whose username starts with A-L will win the first event of the next dayphase, or whether somebody whose username starts with M-Z (or a number/symbol). If you are right, you will win a duplicate of the top prize for yourself. If the event has multiple winners of the top prize, more information will be given to you about your bet upon the event's conclusion.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Limestone
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Limestone, you are Fable, the Mafia Poisoner. You are a master illusionist who is famed for your incredibly realistic distancing from your partners, most recently evidenced by your fantastic performance in Game 2 of this year's Champs. More often than not, unsuspecting townies tend to clear one or both of you after you and your partner get into a "fight". You're once again putting your considerable skill at deception to use here.

    1) Not w/w: Each night phase, you may poison one player. At the start of the next day phase, that player is publicly announced as poisoned and will die at the next End of Day if they are not healed.

    2) DEFINITELY not w/w: Each night phase, you may FAKE poison one additional player. At the start of the next day phase, that player is also publicly announced as poisoned, but nothing will happen to them.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Duskfall
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Duskfall, you are Arapocalypse, the Perpetually Awake Mafia!!! You are permanently in a state of hype!!! and never sleep, except once a week or so when you pass out for a day straight (even though you're loath to admit it)!! In your opinion there's no such thing as too much mafia; therefore you're going to make absolutely sure that people have as much fun as possible!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why sleep when you can mafia?!!: Each day, you can invite a day-dependent number of players (three players on Day 1, two players on Days 2 through 4, and one player on Day 5 and later) into an overnight chat!!! This is not bound to the normal Day Action deadline, as it is functionally a presubmission; you may submit/change your target at any time up until End of Day!!! Your chat opens at End of Day and closes at the Night Action deadline, and each night's chat is separate! You may not invite any player two nights in a row!

Back, catching up, and here until EoD!!!!!: On any one day, instead of using the above ability, you may open the game thread for an hour after End of Day!!! All live players will be able to post during this hour! No votes made during this hour will mean anything, and no day actions will be usable!

So, about [current issue]: You notoriously begin to offer an opinion on something and then disappear for several hours, often returning when a topic is resolved or otherwise no longer relevant!! We think it would be hilarious if you did this in the game thread, so we'll boost your ITA if you do! Each night, you may send us up to 10 posts from the previous day in which you responded to a question that was asked to you or the collective thread either during an earlier day phase or at least 6 hours earlier, and your ITA hitrate for the next day will be boosted by 2% for each response! Also, as long as you submit at least one post in which you did this, your ITA for the next day will be silent!!!

Good luck, and thanks for playing!!!

    theknightsofneeee
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello theknightsofneeee, you are MarkoRaj, the Mafia Claim Suicide Bomb Giver. A passionate player with very little tolerance for daft maneuvers, you suffer no fools and do not hesitate to let anybody know what you think of them. In this game, anybody who crosses the line of common sense should be prepared to face your wrath.

    1) Am I Making You Nervous?: If anybody openly claims their role in the game thread, you may, at any time (except during ITA sessions), transform their role into that of a Suicide Bomber. All of their abilities will be replaced with a suicide bomb, where they may target a single player to kill and die as well. You may use this ability once. Please quote the claim in question when using this ability.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

Hello Murska, you are Phighter, the Mafia Day Angel. You are one of the highest-WIM players on the site and a reformed tunneler, though sometimes your old tendencies come out to shine. One of the skills you've perfected is being able to draw a ton of attention as a wolf and push through it successfully despite the odds. You've decided to lend your Teflon to others in this time of need.

    1) Saint Nick Foles Protect Us All: Each night phase, you may target a single player. That player will become immune to ITA shots (all shots will display as "Miss!") and day vigilante actions for the next day phase. You may not target a player on consecutive nights.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    MarkoRaj
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello MarkoRaj, you are theknightsofneeee, the Perpetually Mafia Night Angel. You've been around the block a bit. You know what tactics work and what will get you in trouble. You can always be counted on to put on a professional, quality performance. All of these accolades, unfortunately, come with the territory of always randing wolf. Luckily, you can put them to good use here though and help your less-seasoned partners through the rough stages.

    1) Your H_ngm_n's Rope Has No Power Here: Each night phase, you may target a single player. That player will become immune to regular kills that same night. You may not target a player on consecutive nights.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    The Lukundo
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello The Lukundo, you are Manasi, the Mafia ITA Baroness. You've certainly leveled up in wolfing over the past year or two (and have an award to prove it), but your main claim to fame continues to be your social presence in Discord. Constantly requesting the opinions of others on such topics as where you should eat, which article of clothing looks the best, whether you should go out and socialize with X, or whether you should spring for concert tickets, over time you've attracted a following of good friends who are ready to follow you into battle.

    1) Australian Crack Shot: Your time abroad proved to be very instructive, and with your return trip to the Land Down Under imminent, you've decided to hire a connection of yours to teach your team how to shoot. Each night, you may target one player. That player's ITA hit rate is boosted to 50% for the next day phase. Your own ITA base hit rate is 50% permanently.

    2) Firing Blanks: Each night, you may target one player. That player's ITA hit rate is reduced to 0% for the next day phase. You may not target consecutively.

    3) Lovestruck: Don't think we haven't noticed the pattern of IRL meetups you've had. For as long as you're alive, all town-aligned male MU Staff roles will have a base ITA hit rate of 5%. If you die during an ITA session, this rate will not go back to normal until the start of the next ITA session.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    M2H
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello bbt/M2H, you are Secondhand Revenant, the Mafia Jack Of All Trades. Since your introduction to MU in Season 3 of Champs, you've established quite the reputation for yourself over the years as one of the most versatile and feared wolves on the site. What's doubly impressive is that you've acquired this reputation with the considerable handicap of being asleep for half the time that the thread is open. As a reward for this feat, you're able to help your team with a variety of abilities.

    1) Most Likely Asleep: Years ago you discovered the beneficial properties of a good night's rest (and then some). Now it's time to give that gift to your enemies. Once in the game, you may target a player during the night. That player is roleblocked.

    2) Hourly Reminder: Famously the target of a specchat tunnel in Season 5 of Champs, the frequent proclamations (delivered hourly) that you were a wolf were incorrect there, but luckily your own reads are a bit more accurate. Once in the game, you may target a player during the night with a rolecop action. You will receive an accurate result about that player's role.

    3) Legacy of Sukilimas: Perhaps your crowning achievement as a wolf, you and your wolfteam notoriously overwhelmed the game thread, making hundreds upon hundreds of posts on D1 and causing multiple subouts from townies who simply couldn't keep up. Now you'll overwhelm the town with sheer force. Once in the game, you may target a player during the night with a vigilante action.

    4) Let's Give Smith Another Day Here: You may have actually been town when you notoriously said this line defending an under-pressure wolf, but the legend lives on nonetheless and your legacy of defending your partners persists. Once in the game, you may target a player during the night with an angel action. That player will be protected from any attacks during that night.

You may only use one ability in a single night.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Chris
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Chris, you are roro__b, the Mafia Strategist. We get it. Wolfchat can be a fun place. It's comfy, you're with friends, and there aren't people trying to kill you. The problem is when you have to leave the confines of wolfchat for the game thread, and sometimes you confuse the two and accidentally post something meant for one thread in the other thread. Your epic slip in Game 4 of this year's Champs will live on forevermore, but at least you were able to find your niche and will now be much more comfortable with directing your team's strategy from afar.

    1) Permanent Polyjuice Potion: Once in the game, by End of Night 0, you may select any two players on the mafia team and switch their roles. This change will go into effect starting the following dayphase.

    2) I think abovementioned might be a great way to discredit Apoc: By End of Night 0, you must designate a single player to remain in mafia chat after their death. This player will be denied access to deadchat until the end of the game. You may keep this for yourself, if you wish.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Creature
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Creature, you are Champ, the Mafia Copypasta JOAT. Some people think puns are the highest form of humor. Others say it's parody. Still others insist it's slapstick. You know the truth: that they're all fools. There's power in copypastas. That's all mafia is: the best pastas. The ones that last. Might as well be yours.

    1) Giving the Ctrl-V a Workout: Each day, in the thread, you may quote a single player's post and respond to it with one of the following mafia-themed copypastas. Depending on the copypasta you choose, an action will be performed on that player effective as of the next night phase. PM the host account with a link the post in question during the night to ensure the action goes through.

    i)
[USERNAME], maybe take a couple laps while the titans of WW talk. Hit the bricks kid.
This pasta will roleblock the player for a night phase.

    ii)
I think abovementioned might be a great way to discredit [USERNAME1].

[USERNAME2]: you can out yourself as n1 watcher by asking [USERNAME1] something along the lines of "you're claiming to have been roleblocked butnkbody visited you this night. Explain". Coukd be a way to mark you as towny.

Just a suggestion but feels pretty goodif we can turn it into a lynch
This pasta will make all peek attempts made on the player fail for the next night phase, the next day phase, and the next night phase after that. (Only posting the first line of the above pasta is acceptable.)

    iii)
A quick note about mafia theory and how I will play this game. Note that the arguments and facts presented here are indisputable, and that I will not engage in arguments about them, because those arguments are you wasting everyone else's time about meta that is well and comprehensively established. Go make reads so we can read you.

I've reflected on my role and realized that there is a GTO play for me in this game, and therefore I am compelled to pursue it. I am going to brute force my clearness immediately upon the opening of the thread.

I am hard-claiming, and I will never be rescinding. I am the seer. When it becomes prudent I will provide my peek.

    Benefits:

    1. I will survive tonight: I do not believe the mafia are able to kill me tonight, because it is so objectively unlikely that I would ever do this as the seer. I believe that this decision reduces the importance of the tracker cover to be provided by all of you to the point of it being negligible. The mafia have already been outplayed, as it were.

    2. I'm lock clear: All of you already know I'm lock clear, because it is so objectively unlikely that I would do this as mafia. You know this for at least two reasons. First, this is the easiest, lowest-stress, lowest-demand game to play mafia in that I've ever played in (except for turbos). I have no need to complicate my life, as mafia, by open-claiming on thread open, when all Ihave to do is provide like a C-level mafia game to probably win. This is the rare instance where you literally know that I have a billion other options as mafia, AND that I would pursue probably ALL of them before pursuing this. Second, I engage in FPS exceedingly rarely, which necessarily means that I *know* that this will look WEIRD and SHOCKING to you. There is no merit to a mafia play that instantly generates WEIRD and SHOCKED responses that I would be obligated to finesse and manage for the remainder of the game. As a villager, which I am, the burden is totally on you to not **** up and lynch me. Makes my life super awesome.

    3. There are only 142 players you need to try to read, rather than 143: I have already provided a "free" peek of me in a game with a mere 144 players. Our win equity is dramatically improved by my being entirely off the table for the entire game.

    Conclusion:

The burden of sound reasoning is now entirely upon you. I am the seer, and thus a villager, and thus lock clear. The game is immediately simpler than it would otherwise have been, because of my decision. Now, let us enjoy that benefit and win the game.

Also, to preempt a lengthy and pointless discussion.

It is NOT dumb to ponder this post and convince yourself of its wisdom. That is your obligation as a villager, and I encourage you to think it over for as long as it takes to quell your (initially valid but ultimately unnecessary) concerns.

It IS dumb to, AFTER doing that pondering, conclude that I'm "neutral" or "scummy". That is legitimately stupid, and I won't entertain it. ONE of the reasons it is a stupid conclusion is that the upside of this play as mafia is absolutely DWARFED by the upside of this play as a villager. There is no equivalency between the EV gain for mafia-me in this position and villager-me in this position. They're universes apart. That means I wouldn't DO the poorer option of the two (by extension, mafia-me also wouldn't BELIEVE that I could convince the entire game of the truth of these assertions for the entire game, which as an end-game mafia I would have to believe if this strategem were to be worth pursuing). A SECOND reason that conclusion is stupid is that the EV bonus of doing this as mafia is COMPLETELY DWARFED by my baseline mafia EV anyway. Anything that complicates my mafia life is RIDICULOUSLY stupid for me to do, given that my mafia life is ALREADY one of the smoothest, highest expectation mafiaing lives in mafia history anyway. A THIRD reason that conclusion is stupid is that you would probably have to worry about being EXPLOITED by this gambit in order to get there. However, I have NEVER engaged in this, or any similar, gambit in my entire career, meaning that if there IS exploitation to be had with this play, it is in FUTURE GAMES, not this game. For these reasons, pressuring me is extremely scummy and should not be engaged in by any villager, ever, in this game. There will be no less productive pursuit than that in this game.

Sucks for the mafia when meta is wielded this brutally, but my allegiance is plain and my strategy perfect. Get #rekt.
This pasta will rolecop the player. You will receive an accurate result as to their abilities.

    iv)
A poor, poor choice, [USERNAME]. Leaving me alive was a mistake.

Finally, I can drop this act of being stupid, which apparently allowed me to survive [NUMBER] nights.

Are y'all ready for a wall of text? Because I'm going to give you one hell of a wall of text.
This pasta will prevent any forms of protection not already present on the player from succeeding for the next night.

You may only use each ability once. You may only use one ability per day/night cycle. Once you have posted your pasta for the day, you may not change your mind later and post a different one - only the first pasta will be accepted. If your pasta does not start by quoting one of your target's posts, it will have no effect.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Laniakea
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Laniakea, you are Viggorous, the Mafia Odd-Night Roleblocker. You took a long time away from the site in a quest for self-discovery a while back, but you've returned and are better than ever at Mafia. There's only one drawback: Your constant experimentation in an attempt to achieve a higher standard of living causes a good amount of recovery time on your end, so you're not fully effective at helping your team out.

    1) Vygotsky's Revenge: Every odd-numbered night phase (n1, n3, etc), you may target a single player and roleblock them.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    AndrewGreve
MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Sentient Garbage/AndrewGreve, you are Colin, the Mafia Even-Day Vigilante. One of the godfathers of and most dangerous players in MiniMafia, you've dabbled in the forum scene from time to time, but usually prefer the medium of video where you get to watch the faces of the people you dunk on in real time. However, you've crossed over to MU for Anni for this singular purpose: No matter the medium, it's really fun to shoot people in the $%#!ing face.

    1) This is the Kids With Guns setup: Every even-numbered dayphase, you may PM the host account with the name of a single target, who will immediately die. You may not do this in either the first or last hour of the day, or during ITA sessions.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

Completed Design oversight/role PM clarity issues: We...

    Design oversight/role PM clarity issues:
We spent countless hours going over individual PMs in the days before the rand to tighten them up and prepare for every eventuality. That said, we missed several possible instances that minorly affected quality of life. Most of this pertained to not specifying when abilities kicked in. Confusion on whether individual roles were active on N0. Jalandh's Sun Fan role sending me GIFs to trigger his ITA boost on Day 1 when ITAs didn't start until D2. That sort of thing.

In line with the above, on D1, within the last hour of the day, BATMAN attempted to shoot LordQuas using his ability. While BATMAN's role PM did not include the "can't use a day action on the first/last hour of the day or during ITAs", the rules post in start of the thread clearly does, and BATMAN's role was not an exception. Additionally, not processing day actions such as dayvig shots in the last hour of the day is common mash practice. No compensation was given.

The same thing that happened with BATMAN on D1 happened with gbsfranca on D2.

This is less of an error and more of a conceptual mistake, but the GeneralHankerchief role was poorly implemented. It was the very first role we designed and was a proof of concept for a couple of ideas we would work into the game, but somewhere along the line we never got around to giving it its needed reworks. While the Champion theme made it so that the GH role could douse and ignite in a single night, the theme that it was taken from, Mountainous Arson, had stipulations about not abusing this ability. These stipulations were overlooked when the role was carried over and as a result the role became little more than a vigilante that could bypass doctor protections, which was never the intent.

The Mafia redirector role was similarly overpowered. Upon reflection, there should have been some combination of limitations placed on it; either making it an x-shot ability or limiting its amount of targets. We did neither. Apologies to those it affected.

On Day 4, we had to last-minute swap the second and third events due to scheduling issues, resulting in NinjaPenguin's event oracle information being incorrect. This wasn't avoidable, but it probably wasn't really a good role to include in the first place.

    ------

    Processing errors:
112 gave vanity. a protect action on Day 1, which should have been sent to vanity at End of Day. This was overlooked somehow, and vanity. was not sent the action until about 2 hours to the Night Action deadline.

The Apoc/benneh loverize should not have happened due to Apoc's passive ability, and was voided accordingly.

Apoc should not have been roleblocked on Night 1 due to his passive ability, so vanity. should not have died. Compensation for this and the above: Apoc was day angeled on Day 2.

On D3, Perry the Platypus directed a silent shot towards Laniakea that I somehow misread as Dyslexicon. As the shot missed, and as both targets were wolves, no compensation was given.

As per his ability, IAmRobik selected to have a post-death mason chat with Litten (wolf). He and Litten were briefly made aware of the chat before I realized that if Robik selected a wolf he would go straight to DVC. As compensation for this informational advantage, the wolves were not allowed to claim any of them had a chat with Robik.

Wolves originally submitted a peek vig on Crackleslap, and later changed to gbsfranca. I (Lissa) missed this change, and we processed their peek vig on Crackleslap. As compensation, they received an instantaneous day vanillaize to use on a player of their choice. They used it on gbsfranca.

On Night 1, iaafr was given a cat by CatgirlMaple (dyachei role). He was supposed to be informed of this, but was not. Frog (N2 cat recipient) would also not have been informed, had he survived to day for it to matter.

TehBankertin's ITA hitrate should have been set to 0% for Day 5, after commuting Night 4; it was not. Fortunately, he missed, resulting in this not impacting the game in any way.

    Night 5 results

    Carnage in the night!

    The following players have died:

    Jowy

MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    theknightsofneeee

    Scirrus

MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Scirrus, you are Jalandh. You’ve become a regular player on MU, playing in a number of turbos and long games and giving solid performances. You’ve only been a PR once, so this game, you are a Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

    Wisdom

MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

    Eragon

MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Completed Dad has been modkilled due to 0 posting for two...

Dad has been modkilled due to 0 posting for two consecutive days.

    His role was:

MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Tsunami has been lynched! She was:

MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

Hello Tsunami, you are Sooh. You've been on MU since the beginning and have been an inspiring presence to many from your friendly personality to your entertaining karaoke sessions over voicechat in the Discord server. As you're currently expecting, we wish you all the best in the coming months of years and don't want to foist additional pressure on you, thus you're a Vanilla Townie.

Good luck, and thanks for playing!

Alice Liddell has succumbed to poison! She was:

MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

    Night 5 begins now.

Day phase starts at 7am US Eastern time and NA deadline is at 5.

    (all names have been changed)

    1.

As for me. 3 people voted Malfoy. I know all three are town now. You know at least 2 were. I wouldn't be in this situation as 3p since I'd be dead. I realise that I will probably always be in the bottom of the POE because you guys don't like how I sound or something compared to everyone else. I've realised that my "never getting mislynched" actively hurts my town play and my enjoyment of the game so I am going to accept what happens here on out. Anyhow

    Reasons I am not 3P
I was actually on the Malfoy lynching wagon
I have been engaged with the game and actively hunt non-town
    2.

Is this the right time to point out I busted my mf'ing $%#! Today to frame the mechanics of the situation and develop a methodology to solve the game, whereas Luna just moaned and flailed and cast shade on both Seamus and myself?

I mean, I had to tell Luna what her Town POV even was, for God's sake.
    3.

Like if this is honestly what you think you have to vote Ron.

I honestly wouldn't mind as much if you voted me thinking I was Snape but I've basically nailed this $#@!ing game from the start and if anyone ever accused me of being a wolf in a normal game after my tunnel of Dudley and dunk on Moody I'd be going absolutely bananas.

Thing is I'd be long dead in a normal game...
    4.

im reading through the period after Harry became the wagon initially

my initial assessment is that i'm pretty sure McGonagall is a villager. there's a brief period where Harry starts being the topic of conversation (Dean, Lupin, Sprout, Diggle, McGonagall all mention him) and then the topic shifts to other things.but its McGonagall that comes out and brings him back up again once topics were elsewhere. I think wolfMcGonagall would be glad to let the conversation push elsewhere here (she xposts a "whats up with Harry disappearing" comment with ape reappearing).

i do think there's more to this little section but I gotta try to sift through it.
    5.

I know votes are locked. You keep having litle digs at players for not reading the thread but seems you also have a lot of tunnel vision and you read only what you want.

IF Ginny and Justin are wolves together we lost yes. BUt I don't believe they are.

one of the last wolves needs to me an active player. And after Cedric died last night for me that would be you or Wood.

With Wood being poisoned that is you.

Your flip will solve this game.
    6.

This has me convinced Dumbledore is trying to do a twtbaw thing

Scumchat come get your man and learn abput your arrogance in not igniting lmao
    7.

You underestimated me Hagrid. You thought I wasnt gonna reread and try to pick up the torch. Youve killed the best players and left me a very difficult land of people to call upon. People who doubt my reasoning and have tons of reasons to want to take the glory for themself. The problem is ive caught you. And I will go nowhere else.

Goyle is just a kiss $%#! townie possibly.

If im right its you and Slughorn - or you and Fleur. Ill find out by lynching you and PoE. My gut tells me its Fleur now. You stashed her away since day 1.
    8.

The interesting things that stood out to me were this:

Hermione claimed neutral to dodge ITA shots in ita session 1
Wormtail tried to draw them with the claim, I'd wager his power might actually be true, but the opposite effect, plus percentage for wolves and negative percentage for villagers given how yesterdays $#@!show went
the Hermione dayvig narrative was around before that stage
Buckbeak and the votes at eod3.2

i think the wolves went after those calling Hermione the dayvig hardest and tried to get shots onto Karkaroff

one thing that concerns me, is that wolves might have stitched Buckbeak up to look good from that eod, and skate by as the dayvig

especially once Arthur went, the dayvig might have needed some survivability
    9.

    here's the thing about Dolohov

Nobody has claimed to have given that peek to George

Except it could have been Crouch totally blowing an attempt to retain some utility to his role by being fps-y with his claim

My issue is that I keep thinking the game makes way more sense and can be broken open with a Dolohov wolf flip

I agree his posting seems good and is a contrast to that thign that Lockhart posted

But I've seen it done before e.g. Mrs. Figg

Ultimately the village world seems more likely which is why I've been rolling that way

but in the other world, the explanation is Dolohov is playing well and Crouch blew it, which we know he did to some extent regardless

I don't think I got anywhere I just wanted to see if writing this helps me think
    10.

Look, here's what's going to happen:

We're going to lynch someone, probably someone in the perceived lower half of skill level of the players in the game that had the most uninspired d1 by t0an and/or volume; hopefully we're right

The wolves are going to SPK someone, probably Sirius if he's a villager and/or has something that could be minimally construed as a correct fakepeek, and then some other $%#! may or may not happen and we'll have NK/mechanical stuff to talk about

It's hard to gin up enthusiasm when the real game isn't actually going to start for the better part of 48 hours, and having Voldemort act like he's all clever for voting me because there's a 25% chance he could be right and have gotten in on the ground floor is just stupid, and it's insulting that you think it would be at all productive regardless of my role

MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

    @NinjaPenguin died during the event.

MU Anniversary 2019 - Role PM

You don't actually have the option to go right.

Counting it as the first valid option on the list, which is left.

Jalandh and shawnad2006 did not submit on time and idle.

I apologize for the quick deadlines, this event is at risk of taking an extremely long time if they are longer.

I think it should keep under two more hours, it'll pick up pace a little now that I've gotten a little more into the groove of tracking moves.
