Beck recommended the site so I figured I'd give it a shot.
I have absolutely no clue how to play mafia at all, by the way.

I play at FTR, entirely games with the same 10-20 players and 72hr days. Never played any turbos or huge games.
I'm very busy the next few weeks but after that should be able to join in some games.

Ah is this the thread in which we brag about ourselves? Hi everyone I'm Jasper and I'm the person who pretty much singlehandedly popularized mafia on Bulbagarden haha. I first got into mafia at mariowiki forums (now called marioboards) after I got asked by the owner Stooben to join his mafia game. It was great fun and after joining some more games I decided I was gonna popularize mafia on my main forum bulbagarden. As multiple mafia games had already failed to popularize mafia there was a bit of a challenge in front of me, but my BMGf mafia with unique power roles based on active forum users made quite the impact. Even users who were not interested before were lining up to join my BMGf Mafia II (like @Phoenicks) which to date has the single most posts in the game thread out of any game ever held on the forums!
Since then I've hosted a bunch of more mafia games that always have a unique twist or gimmick to it. There is rock paper scissors mafia which has three mafia factions trying to eradicate the others using/despite their well-known match-ups. Kid Icarus: Uprising Mafia was the most complicated mafia I've ever hosted that had health bars, items, money, a shop, unique roles with hidden abilities and various twists based on the game. Sadly the game was hampered a bit by an inactive userbase around halfway through, but a few active users managed to finish the game anyway. I've also had a sorta mafia game that was based on points that was pretty fun, basically everyone was a lyncher but with additional things. I've come up with ideas for and then never hosted tons of mafias because I couldn't come up with a fun enough gimmick or enough good roles. I've won the award for "most creative host" on bulbagarden twice for my efforts which I was quite happy with.
As a player I'm afraid I do not have a lot of achievements. In new metas I've always been considered a pretty good player, whereas the more complicated a meta becomes the more I go down to just average. In metas that play at near-perfect level like epicmafia I'm a deadweight to whatever team I'm on because I never know what moves are the "correct" ones that I'm expected to make in their set-ups lmao. I guess we'll see how I fare here as time goes on.
I'm currently working on my Master thesis for my MA Colonial and Global History, so don't expect a whole lot of activity out of me until I'm finished with that. But I'll probably join a bunch of games once I'm done!

Just to set the record straight of the bat, all of Tere, LH and Zeluvia are much better players than I.
'Sup. I'm Nova. Used to play on MSPAforums before they got the whole game section nuked. Also made a half-assed attempt to bring Mafia to KH-Vids, before one of your admins got permabanned for posting $%#!butt. Oh and I played like one joke game on SerenesForest. Crowning achievement was winning as a Bodystacker/Inventor after convincing the Town I was lynchproof. Watching Steven Universe, reading Dorohedoro, playing Warframe, Smash & BlazBlue, listening to Tech N9ne. Ask me about my never-ending macro collection.
