Double the players, double the fun!

What is this?

The Mafia Championship can sometimes be a bit serious business. And you know, sometimes girls just wanna have fun. So consider this an off-season "for fun" event with no pressure - it's all about meeting people from other communities and just showing off the unique qualities of your home community in the hopes that new bonds can be formed.

For those who don't know what a Hydra is, it's when two players play a game on the same account (two heads of a hydra). When the account dies in the game, both players making up that hydra are eliminated. So basically, this event is a chance for you to partner up with a friend and play against duos from other communities.

We did one of these last year and it ended up attracting 220 players, making it the biggest cross-community mafia event ever. We're hoping to repeat that success this year!

Game Info

You will receive a Google Survey and vote on which kind of setup you'd like to play. But no matter what setup is chosen, expect this to be the mechanics and rules of your game:

Mechanics: Deadline lynch w/ majority option after Day 1, in the case of a tie the lynch will be randomized, no lynch is a valid vote.
Night Chat: Not allowed, the thread is closed during night phases.
Out of Thread Communication: Each hydra pair will be assigned a private thread (but are also allowed to use any other means of privately communicating with each other). Besides this, only the mafia team may communicate outside of the thread.
Minimum participation requirements: 5 posts per game day. One strike and you will be warned and asked if you can improve. If you don't respond, you will be subbed out. If you promise more activity and don't deliver, it's mod's discretion whether you will be modkilled or force subbed.

Expect your game to start between late November and mid December. As long as you and your partner can start your game somewhere in that time frame, we should be able to fit you into a game that suits you.

Sign-Ups

Sign up with a friend from your home community by posting in this thread. Be sure to name the community you're representing and the name of your partner. There is no limit to how many hydras a single community can send. If you cannot find a partner from your home community, then feel free to try to match up with someone else here in this thread as a "Refugee Team".

Upon signing up you will receive a link to a Doodle and a Google Survey, which will help me and @Walrein slot you into a game best suited to your availability and preferences.

Yes. The same person is allowed to be in multiple hydras, but of course they'd have to play in different games.

I'll send a Google Survey to all players and they'll vote on what types of setup they wanna play, and I then slot them into a game that hopefully fits most or all of their preferences. I.e. you'd be asked to say yes/no to a range of setups.
