Hosted By: Jalandh Start Date: December 3rd, 2018 SOD/EOD: 3 pm est/3 pm est Phase Lengths: 48 hours/24 hours Mechanics: Upicks is a game mode where the players will submit a name (could be literally anything) for the host to create a custom role for. That role will be the players and is what they will be using for the game. Night Chat: Allowed. Out of Thread Communication: Disallowed. Posting Requirement: 5 posts minimum per day phase. Will be roleblocked if this is not met. Setup: Closed.
Messages: Quoting/copying your rolecard or any moderator message sent to you will result in Modkill. Do not contact or discuss the game with anyone while the game is happening. Do not send Private Messages to other players about the game. Discussion of the game openly is what the dead chat is for.
Whispers, Last Wills, and Deaths: By default, there will be no whispers, last wills, or death notes. However, this can change depending on a role's functions.
Mechanics: 48/24. Lynch is majority and plurality starting day 1.
Roles As you sign up, send me what you want your role name to be. This does not mean send in a vanilla name like Goon or Doctor. You will not get what you want there. Below are examples of roles submitted. I hold the right to reject any names I deem inappropriate.
SoD As I am generally always unavailable during a time before 11 am est, I will always prolong night phase until the time where I would be able to be awake and start it. Please note, the game will be ran manually. This means if there is a hammer for majority at a time that I will not be awake, then the phase will not end automatically. This being said, please do not twilight post. Also the SoD will happen 24 hours after the point of me announcing night phase has started.
NOTE: This game has the possibility of being multiple things, including: unbalanced, bastard, unfair, overpowered, or underpowered. This game is meant for fun. Don't complain about what your role is, you get what you get and you know what you signed up for. However, I will try to keep the game enjoyable for all those who sign up.
Here are two rolecards that have been used in a Upick game before.
The Morning Star
"What exactly are you trying to be here? Jesus? Medieval weaponry?
The City? The Company?
Honestly, you could be literally anything here."
Whenever a member of the town dies, you gain the ability to use their action once each. You will be informed exactly how this works for each role as they die.
You must kill all members of the Mafia.
"Maybe I should try playing some of these games. They actually look pretty cool."
Each night, you may choose a player to have their wish granted. The next day, they will be allowed to pick a one shot action they can use the night after. However, after they choose, you gain the action instead of them. If their action would give them feedback, they will simply be told their action failed when they attempt to use it.
The actions you gain through this method can be used in addition to your standard ability.
You may not target a member of the mafia with this ability.
You must reach parity with the Town.

The Wildcard may target someone each night and use a random power on them still left in the game, randomly selected from any other power role in the game. If there are no other power roles left in the game, then the Wildcard's action does nothing.
