don't really agree with the post count being a near 1:1 correlation with the voted players - but the players that got the votes can certainly be proud of their game. A couple of other town had good games but aren't as recognized since they arent the town leader types, and obviously all of the mafia did decently so gg to all of you.
but back to the present, good luck to those playing further games!
Hi everyone, it's your host here, super delayed because of uh. reasons that I won't go into but they were tiresome enough that they deserve a mention.
I've commented on this game here and there in Discord, but for the record; meme setup, meme rand. just. overall solid play from everyone involved and I hope everyone had fun and enjoyed playing with others at the very least.
Someone asked about the flavour. I will eventually get the last phase and endgame done when I feel better but in essence;
The Wonderful 101 is a high-complexity and somewhat mechanically confusing videogame developed by Platinum Studios, the studio behind Devil May Cry, Okami, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, NieR: Automata, and others. It was published by Nintendo and runs on the Wii U. It's basically a sentai/Power Rangers parody where everything's taken in wildly confusing directions and just is basically a total in-joke of previous Platinum Games franchises, etc etc. It's a pretty campy game in terms of tone.
Unfortunately I didn't have the time to find recordings of some of the dumbest in-game conversations to use from the game, and unfortunately the first scum lynch - styled after Vijounne, and thereafter non-Laambo lieutenant/bosses from the Wonderful 101 game - was supposed to have this clip reworked into the story, but, no scum got lynched, so here it is, for posterity's sake and to express how dumb this game is in a way that I don't think I expressed very well using words.
I understand pretty much nobody has played or probably even heard of this game but it was the first thing to come to mind when I volunteered to take up this game on somewhat short notice, which is why I aimed... somewhat for a more generalist approach with the flavour. Essentially I didn't really... expect anyone to know the source material and that was fine.
Anyways, none of that was stuff you cared to read, probably. Game was good, would like to formally congratulate the wolfteam on their win and to Macdougall for wildcarding and WWS for his finals spot. Obviously I feel kinda biased but I hope I see more than just Macdougall for wildcards and hopefully more than just WWS for finals, skill level of this game from people was pretty damn promising.
