These "tweener" deadlines will be explained in the tabs below!

You've watched! You've waited! You've watched again! You've waited again – although with understanding and patience as we struggled to explain to an extra-dimensional race that the crowds cheering at their new "darkmatterball" arena were experienced by us as huge kyrion storms that knocked out comm networks for light-years around!
Thankfully, the situation was resolved without major incident, and now, it is once again time for the hottest game show this side of the Arklonus Supercluster – that's right, it's MAFIA MADNESS! Coming at ya live from Lluria Station, with an incredible view of the Leanna Gate and its pink nebulae, join your cute and cuddly host Kaiveran Lugheidh and 13 lucky contestants as they engage in a dramatic battle of wits!
This game is a test of Tweener deadlines, a concept that I would like to see get traction.
A Day takes up to 5 IRL days (120 hours), and a Night takes 2 IRL days (48).
These deadlines sit roughly in between the common speeds exemplified by MU's defaults, and those of long phase metas (MafiaScum being the biggest example), which I feel honors the spirit of MU being a nexus and home for players of all communities. Another neat thing is that a full day/night cycle takes exactly a week.
At first, these deadlines are likely to feel overly short to someone coming from most long phase metas, and overly long for others, but over time, I hope both kinds of players will be able to adapt – and most importantly, people with busy schedules will still be able to play with aptitude without needing the game to take forever. At least I think so. If I knew, there'd be no need to test!
Here's a few quick words of advice to make the adaptation easier.
Advice for Short Phase Metas:
Pace yourself! This game is not as demanding of your attention as your typical game. You have more than twice the time you're used to to make a decision, so slow your roll and play it cool. If you devote an hour or so each IRL day to really dig into the game, combined with the quick check-ups you would likely be doing anyway, you should have no problem staying on top of things!
Set reminders for phase endings if you need them. I've seen several short phase players encountering longer deadlines for the first time fall into the same trap; playing as if they still have to get everything done in the short timeframes they're used to, realizing they still have a ways to go before deadline, then going AWOL and forgetting/missing it. If this sounds like you, do yourself a favor and use a Calendar/Reminder app, mark EoD/EoN on it and/or set a warning 1 or 2 days before. That way you won't be caught with your pants down.
Advice for Long Phase Metas:
Step it up!...just a little bit. If you're used to long phases then you've caught a bit of a break here compared to the general zeitgeist of MU – however, keep in mind that you're still working with only about half the time you're used to. So taking multiple-day-long vacations from the thread isn't an option anymore. Make a point to at least check up on the thread every IRL day.
Keep consistency and concision in mind. In layman's terms: post shorter posts, post more often, and don't hesitate to voice any relevant thoughts (or BS). Long phase metas have a tendency for very slow, measured, methodical play – people keep their cards close to their chest until they feel ready to build a Great Wall of Content or really go at others in a posting spree. While this approach can still work in certain circumstances, generally you'll want to take a more "on-the-fly" approach to play, sharing stuff as it comes to you.
In the middle of each game day (quicklynches notwithstanding) I will try to write a Midday Update – a little tidbit of flavor that involves whatever silliness I can come up with!
I will try my best to entertain you all and enhance the game experience through the flavor. Let's have fun!

Sorry for not getting to this earlier. I have you in for now, but if you have any questions/concerns about the game, please voice them! There is also some advice in the "Deadlines" tab in the OP that may be of use!
This is technically not a long phase Light, although it's roughly 65-70% of the way there. These "tweener" deadlines are more meant to accommodate busy schedules and/or just be less of a daily workload, without being so long as to be off-putting.
For more information, go to the first post in this thread, and underneath the "GAME INFO" box there's a set of tabs; click on the one that says "Deadlines"!
The post requirement is five posts per in-game Day (so per 5 IRL days, although I probably should have specified that those posts need to be game-related: thanks for the catch, I'll edit the OP shortly
