    The Trads are as follows:
Mages of Akashic Brotherhood are ascetics, martial artists, and monks, largely drawing from Buddhism, Taoism, Shinto, Hinduism and other such religions. They are masters of the sphere of Mind.

Mages of Celestial Chorus are pious believers in a supreme being that encompasses all Gods ever worshipped. They are masters of the sphere of Prime, the raw essence that fuels magic itself.

Mages of Cult of Ecstasy are intuitive seers using sensory stimulation, consciousness-expanding techniques, and meditation. They are masters of the sphere of Time.

Mages of Dreamspeakers are shamanistic emissaries to the spirit world. They are masters of Spirit magic, such as summoning or binding spirits, necromancy, creating fetishes and travelling to the Umbra.

Mages of Euthanatos are Thanatoic willworkers and killers drawing from a legacy of death-cults in India, Greece, and the cultures of the Arabs and Celts. They are masters of the sphere of Entropy.

Mages of Order of Hermes are formalized sorcerers, alchemists, and mystics drawing from classical occult practices. They are masters of the sphere of Forces.

Mages of Sons of Ether are inspiration-oriented scientists dedicated to fringe theories and alternative science. They are masters of the sphere of Matter.

Mages of Verbena are blood-shamans, healers, primordial witches and warlocks. They are masters of the sphere of Life.

Mages of Virtual Adepts are technological adepts capable of informational wizardry. They are masters of the sphere of Correspondence, magic dealing with three-dimensional location, space, and communications.

    The Technocracy are as follows:
Technocrats of Iteration X are experts in the arena of the physical sciences, especially when it comes to mechanical and robotic advancements.

Technocratic Progenitors, on the other hand, are masters of the biological sciences as a whole, including genetic engineering and the medical science.

Technocrats of the New World Order maintain control of information and knowledge, controlling the thoughts and actions of the masses by directing what they learn and see.

Technocrats of the Syndicate control the flow of money and power—though the two are frequently the same thing—between disparate groups.

Technocratic members of the Void Engineers are explorers of the unknown. In the modern day, this not only extends to outer space, but to extradimensional planes of existence.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Marauders are bat$%#! insane and embody Dynamism and chaos.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nephandi embody Entropy and work to achieve and speed up the entropic decay of the
    universe. Seriously bad dudes/dudettes.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Then you have the groups that are outside of the big four. Hollow Ones are one of those groups.

The Hollow Ones are the outsiders, the outcast, the downtrodden, the fringes of society.
Hollowers are dedicated to Romance with a capital R. They embrace the macabre, the Gothic, the misery of life, Tragic Romance, and the Mystery of Life.

My first exposure to the game was during a time in my life when I was deep into the Goth subculture and the Hollow Ones immediately attracted my attention. I rolled up a character and named her Katheryne Majere.

Katheryne b/c I love the name, and Majere because of Raistlin Majere from the DragonLance Chronicles (READ THEM THEY'RE AWESOME)

So there I am, new character in hand, and we're playing the game. It's awesome. I love it. I flesh out her story and really start to identify with my character, giving her free headspace I guess ;-)

I then joined some online forums for Magic: The Gathering (this is during the time known as Necro Winter (circa 1996) and of course I'd need a screen name.

By this time Katheryne had been my main Mage: The Ascension character for a year or two, the campaign was in full swing, and we were playing weekly, sometimes more than that b/c the gamemaster and I were roommates, and my GF at the time was also playing, so we'd have sessions a LOT.

Then it hit me. Why not combine my characters name and Tradition? And thus Hollow Katheryne, or Hollowkatt for short, was born!

I've been hollowkatt on just about every forum I've ever joined, since about 1996 or so.
The game ended years ago, I lost touch with the gamemaster long ago, lost the GF (then wife) in a divorce in 2012 (it's all good, trust), but Hollowkatt has stuck with me.

And there you have it, the reason for my username is a roleplaying game character I fell in love with almost 25 years ago and it's been my online identity ever since.

    Hope you enjoyed!
(Only) You may call me inferbaal.

Just because I have an ongoing homebrew world of darkness crossover campaign of 2-3 years and play an infernal named baal (techncial bartholomew, but that is too long and a name the induces some sort of fear was needed).

World of darkness players are rare enough that I had to say this. :X

I've always had an affinity for short and unique usernames, as well as the letter V. I've played a lot of games and almost exclusively have had names that start with V. Voxx was one of my first, and a lot of variations of it spawned. Voxx. Voxxington. Voxxicus.

I ended up using Voxxicus for a forum at one point because Voxx was taken, and it kind of stuck.

My name is a combination of D'oh, Homer's catchphrase and Homer. As in my sig, there was another member called D'ohmer on the No Homers Club, and that's where I got the name from. He was banned in 2014, for reasons I don't want to get into but I am not the guy called D'ohmer. I am Trab Pu Kcip on the NHC, which happens to be his previous name!

Ikka is a nickname that I've had for... 13 years? My name is Erika, so my high school friends started calling me ika, then it turned in to iika and a friend of mine who's dyslexic always misspelled it as "ikka", and that kinda stuck.

For some reason, I've always thought it looks better with a small i, rather than I.

Even before I started working at the first pizza place I ever worked at, in Florida, I was already super duper mega into takeout pizza. Domino's or Papa Gino's (up in New Hampshire) were my favorites. Then I started making my own pizza when I got my own apartment with a real kitchen and I wasn't living in a hand me down trailer in a Florida trailer park (don't ask, economic downturn hit NH hard well before the 2008 economic crash... stepdad was a programmer and all programming jobs in NH dried up pretty much, so the family moved to Florida)

I eat pizza on average once a day. Some days slightly less. But about 5 times a week, I'd say, even as a quickie snack I'll throw together a premade crust and some store bought sauce, cheese, and pepperoni and make a pizza in under 15 minutes flat, to keep the hunger demons away.

So that explains the pizza part. I'm male, so that explains the guy part.

As for the "ask" I used to be a member of a now-defunct website called "AskEarth", where people would ask questions on any topic and people would answer for free. And if the answers were helpful, they would get highly rated.

Well, I was just in my late teens, about 19 or so, and I hadn't really been in a whole lot of long term relationships myself, but I had a lot of female friends over my years of middle and high school.

For whatever reason, IRL I just click with hanging out with the girls more. I would listen to their problems, and I was just super thankful anyone wanted to sit next to me at lunch time at school at all.

I'm one of those personality types.... forget what they're called, but it's the 4 letter personality "types" and i don't know how scientific or accurate it is, I expect it is actually a bunch of hokum and nonsense, like horoscopes.

But I do have a personality type where I don't dislike every person I meet, but I'm super selective about with whom I choose to spend my time in person. Got a lot of social anxiety and wasn't particularly popular at school. Only ever had 1 or 2 friends maximum at any given point in my life that I could really call my friend, before the days on being on internet forums.

Most people just make me nervous, in person. I have highly particular interests, I absolutely hate formal, empty, culturally imposed language like politeness phrases and empty sayings and cultural memes and idiomatic expressions that are cliche. I don't like people automatically beginning conversations with empty words that don't mean anything, saying hello, asking how are you while not meaning a word of it, exchanging "pleasantries", talking about weather, talking about celebrity gossip, or really any language that salespeople have to use, which is all fake and forced sounding to me, having worked in customer service since I was 15 years old, and I'm 37 now.

I don't like empty, meaningless, impersonal, formal language. I don't like forced recitations of pledges of allegiance, I don't like expected or forced apologies, I don't like small talk, and I especially don't mind other people doing it, but I do mind when I am expected to participate in what is essentially an unwanted verbal tango with dance steps I have to remember and then I get judged as a person if I don't nail all the steps properly.

I'm just super weird in my brain in general, lots of folks don't understand me and I don't understand them, so it's really hard for me to connect with people on my own, and it's super rare.

The internet helps someone like me meet others that genuinely share my interests, are only interested in engaging me about things they're really passionate about, such as a shared hobby, similar political beliefs, hard discussions about politics, philosophy, morality, ethics, current events, history, science, things of that nature. More hard topics and less small talk and empty / expected / ritualistic "politeness language" the better. I don't want to talk about the weather or say "bless you" when someone else burps or sneezes, I feel like there are a lot of social expectations I don't understand or know how to deal with and find super uncomfortable because they're empty, ritualistic, and meaningless, and the less we go through the motions when we communicate, the more real we are as a society.

I digress, the point is, actual firsthand relationships, most of mine had been a disaster at that point. Few close friends, bad stuff happened at home all throughout my childhood, family broke apart, their family broke apart, their parents families broke apart, people died of smoking or alcoholism or vanished from my life due to drugs like crack cocaine. Just a total winning streak.

So the only folks I ever really hung out with were 1 or 2 dudes that seemed to get me, and I could also understand, and handfuls of young women who would talk to me about everything social, and I would patiently listen.

You wouldn't guess it based on how much I talk online, but I'm the polar opposite in real life. I rarely talk to anyone, I mostly just listen to them.

I listen to everybody. As a quieter person in real life, super quiet, all I ever do is overhear people talking. Or I have people who love to talk, talk to me.

And they would be telling me mainly about their ups and downs, the stuff happening in their lives which affected them the most.

Their families, their friends, their romantic relationships.

    I heard it all.

Guys, seriously, we need to do better as men.

All I ever heard about was one lying, cheating, jerkbag of a boyfriend after another. One bedroom hopper, one insincere expression of affection followed by a ghosting, one toxic or parasitic relationship after another.

I came to know the world from the perspective of someone else's gender. And I happened to be a different gender than that.

Which made me uniquely suited to give relationship advice to men, and also, to women who didn't really know what men were thinking or doing.

I have all the same baser instincts as any straight guy. But hearing all those stories made those basic impulses stop right in their tracks when I realized all the hurt and damage they cause when they aren't sincere and seeking a real connection with someone.

I had the perspective of a male who listens and had heard thousands of stories about relationships gone wrong, and just as I do with any other big puzzle, I tried to put the pieces together and then translate what I understood about the situation in a way most people could understand.

So, I was giving advice based on secondhand experiences, but the results were undeniable.

I was the 6th highest rated advice giver on a website of millions of people, the single top ranked (A) member in family, relationships, and dating. I only didn't have an A+ ranking because I answered someone who was a serial downvoter and gave everyone Fs no matter what.

After a couple years, this website stopped allowing me to answer people's questions for free about family, relationships, and dating advice (specifically, the negative stuff... wondering why people were abusive, toxic, liars, or cheaters, and so on....)

So they were gonna charge people for my advice, which I was giving out for free just for the purpose of helping people.

I stopped giving them answers then and there. I refused to let someone else charge for something I was producing for free and giving away for free voluntarily, to try to help people.

So I stopped participating on AskEarth, and the site collapsed and I can't even find much traces of it today when I google it. It must have been gone for a long time.

But that's where the Ask part comes in.

People used to ask me why their parents would be abusive to them, why their boyfriends were cheating on them, what they could do to change the situation, they would ask me if it was wrong to feel a certain way about how others were mistreating them.

There's a lot of folks out there who are constantly being gaslit and they've come to understand that all the toxic nonsense they get from their abusive partner is their fault, not the fault of the abuser.

Because, you don't get to choose your parents, or your family. If they abuse you, you're often stuck under that household and cannot escape. And all you've ever known is that your parents are right and they make the rules and when they tell you that you're a spoiled, ungrateful, hateful, evil little child, and they get drunk and hit you, all you know is that you did something to deserve it.

Someone has to tell you otherwise, because that's your whole world. You ABSOLUTELY believe it was your fault. Your parents divorce was your fault. Your dad's drug addiction, step father turning to drink, stepfamily's marital problems, being hit and abused as a form of punishment, being locked in your room for months at a time, told to sit in the dark and do nothing.

All that kind of stuff? Until someone tells you that's not normal and that's not good parenting and it was never your fault, you believe that.

You believe you deserve to be punished that way, you believe your abuser is normal and you're the one who is screwed up.

And then, you end up in friendships and sexual relationships where someone abuses you the same way.

They throw the dishes on the floor and break them and go "It's your fault I did that! You ruined dinner, you ruined this evening!"

Or they hit you, too, and that's normal to you because your parents did it.

Or they are passive aggressive and guilt trip you into believing everything is your fault and that YOU are the emotional manipulator, between the two of them.

They'll force you to do all the housework, all the cooking, all the laundry, all the yard work, clean up the piles of feces from the ever-expanding pack of stray dogs they keep adopting and neglecting, and won't even drive you to school when you miss the bus. Spend an hour walking through waist deep snow in jeans that get wet, instead of a 10 minute drive both ways.

You grow up believing the abuse is something normal, that it happens to everyone, except some people are just super lucky, or spoiled, when you hear not everyone goes through what you do. You still don't get that it IS NOT NORMAL and this is a parasitic relationship.

Because you've only, ever, ever, had a parasitic relationship. Always someone bloodsucking you, from your parents, to your abusive guardians or teachers at a religious school or boarding school, to whatever wacky oddball religious cult you were raised in, to the abusive managers and bosses you've met at work, and the abusive and toxic people who want to date you.

And you're so scarred and traumatized at this point that all you even know is these toxic relationships and you gravitate toward the familiar and keep meeting these sorts of abusers. That's all you ever know.

And you wonder why you can't make these relationships work.

And you don't know ANYTHING ELSE.

So you talk to me, a total stranger, and I tell you the awful but liberating truth:

You've been lied to your whole life. You've been taken advantage of. It's never your fault when someone hits you first. It's never your fault when someone insults you first. It's never your fault when someone demands of you and gives you nothing in return, or expects to be lavished with praise when they do one token good deed in a sea of bad deeds.

Someone out there has had real, genuine friendships that don't take advantage of you and don't want anything but the pleasure of your company. And has dated some people, and has been careful to never stay with anyone who is abusive, no matter how lonely it gets.

And while.... maybe only like 5 or 10 percent of the population goes through this, this is still countless millions of people living their lives under the community, family, and society-developed notion that abusive, toxic, and parasitic relationships are normal, gaslighting that you experience is just you being crazy and selfish, and wanting to protect yourself is a wrong instinct.

I knew very little about finding the right person. I hadn't, yet.

But I did know a whole, whole lot about what happens when you're stuck with the wrong person. I've been there my whole life.

I've heard countless relationships end in violence, heartbreak, or heard rape stories.

And I was horrified to hear all this.

All I could do with my free time after this was try to cure the illness of toxic relationships out there in the world, for free, using hours and hours of my free time, to help people, and not charge a dime for it.

That's what I wanted. And those jerkwads shut it all down.

That's why my name is Askthepizzaguy.

I don't know everything, but the stuff I do know that I recognize is valuable info, I will stay up all night killing myself and losing sleep carefully explaining so that you never, ever have to feel like you deserve to feel abused, and never ever tolerate it again,

I spent a few years as moderator here and wrote the code of conduct to help protect people against flaming, toxicity, passive aggression, bigotry, sexual predators, and abuse.

I wanted MU to be a place where that $%#! doesn't fly. I hope it has been a better experience here than elsewhere.

I'm still available to talk about abusive relationships, clinical depression, anxiety, self esteem issues, and folks who have a hard time connecting with the average person because they've been scarred by abuse for decades.

But I've got my own family now and I broke my rubber band, so it can't be a hobby anymore.

I do respond to relationship questions on Quora now, a free question and answer site. I do connect with people about politics, religious questions, ethical and moral questions, and people struggling with their romantic and sexual relationships or identity.

That's how I give back. And thus, I am still, Askthepizzaguy.

My name means Prince with a thousand enemies, and is a character from one of my favourite books of all time - Watership Down. I generally take inspiration from books or songs when choosing usernames for online stuff, and this was one I hadn't used yet.

    Wow.

I thought it was really, really similar to this:

But I can see these are not the same words.

my name is eva, surprise surprise!

while signing up for mafia42, the app i play mafia on, there was a 6 character limit to the usernames.
normally i went by "papieva" "evatato" and ESPECIALLY "evathepotato" but those couldn't fit.
i like having my name in usernames because it feels like people are addressing me as if they know me and it's nice.
all the other usernames i wanted like eva, scorpi, fleur, freya, etc etc were taken. i was trialling for a username for SO LONG

so evaaaa was born since i couldn't get anything else LOL

some people think it's a wall-e reference which is neat. it wasn't intentional, but a lot of people say my name like "eeevaaaaa" in real life anyways.

I'm a gardener and I find happiness in colorful (or even not-so-colorful) gardens. It's kind of a second career for me. My journalism career was a nonstarter but I've been keeping it on life support for years and years. Well, since medieval times. I was supposed to be a town crier but it didn't work out because I cried with so much gusto that no one could understand a word that I said. At least, in the garden, when I weep, I am watering the plants. I spend so much time in the garden that I may as well be a permanent fixture there. And what could be better than being a gnome?

onomatopoeia (spelled right first try nice). corrupted version of "zip". oldest name was on roblox, zipzapzoom1; this is essentially a truncated version of that

double reference; futurama and a song id listened to often at the time by boom kitty (music taste has changed)

right so around the time i made this name i was just wrapping up no game no life and also had essentially cemented myself as a jojo fan
so i decided to combine ZA WARUDO and jibril into the same name
just so it could be readable, i took out a bunch of letters until it made phonetic sense (and apparently it still doesnt to some people lol?)
i mean i still like it, and the reason it is the way it is now is because i also found interest in the polish language at the time, which uses loads of consonant clusters, so thats why it seems so... full of consonants

seija kijin is adorable and magic is sick
honestly thats all the explanation you need

right so at this point ive made it clear that i love punny names with references.
this is a combination of the word "exalt" and the word "x alt" (and the point was that it would be an alter ego of myself, hence the X - it would be nothing like my normal mafia playstyle)
however apparently it stuck so ive decided to use both the zwerdjib and xalt account actively (though xalt less so)

    天使 - angel
    tenshi, except the s is a z because i like using x and z
have recently developed an obsession with angels (angel tribal deck, naming a character tenshi, and now naming myself tenzhi in league)

    league name in eu west
    hopefully obvious

why yes i am a weeaboo

    think everything is covered here
they called me a soulless monster. i called myself a uw player.

BrainpanSonata is half Firefly slang, half one of my favorite words from high school orchestra, and half "I like how these sound together".

When I signed up for Smogon, however, I decided I wanted something different. And I'm a big Muse fan. Hence:

The name you know here. But! There was a long defunct user by the name of Knight of Cydonia or close to that. Smogon uses an automenu system for pinging users, offering a dropdown list of choices once you enter part of the name into the ping. Guess who kept getting pinged while I was playing mafia games. Hint: not me.

    Thus:

As for Golurk, ghost type is bae and Mimikyu was taken.

Have said before but why not have it stated in the common place.

I am known in my IRL friend groups as a very trusted person why even in social deduction is trusted more then i should have orginally was thinking something with chrisma but since i have a hard time talking to new people whent with the on the nose 'Trustworthy." Also all the jokes with it are amazingly funny to me even after seeing them over and over again. 'Can we really trust trustworthy?" always makes me laugh.

Liberal is just from the game https://www.secrethitler.com/ where no matter what i got people just labeled me liberal and went forward with the game after playing like 50 times IRL and was never shoot with a bullet. Also had a friend that had a 100% Liberal shot rate and had shot 30 bullets in 50 games. Yes at points we delayed the bullet to see if he could break the curse.

    Alts are easy

Malamar Dark/Psychic fits nicely for me even if my favorite type is water but havn't made Vaporeon cause the first Pokemon Themed mafia i played already had Eevee in it and thought that was too close.

Megumin I love Explosions and in turn Megumin feel i can get intune with her energy and is the alt that i have felt the most calm playing on even over my main account funnily enough and always have had fun playing on it.

Aipom was on VC with a friend and asked them their favorite Pokemon and thouse made it for champs after Bunnerby jokenly asked me to join under a pokemon. Still did it anyway.

I think thats all? I know i got on a tangent but hope that gets the reasonings down.
Will i join under more in the future in unknown i feel like being able to get into a character helps me play games as seen with Megumin could be from my homesite being partly RP during games.
Let me ask you a simple question.
    Pineapple?

    omg

Haven't thought of those in years. I need to reread.

I needed an account on a Forum and I didn't want to use any of my previous names of VoraciousReader or BlueGingham.

But I really, really wanted a sundae. With butterscotch sauce.

It doesn't really fit at this point since I no longer eat dairy, but whatever.

Actually just started using it this year. I was thinking of what to change my username to on my console and I was on a bit of a nautical kick. I like werewolves, so instead of seadog I chose seawolf. The salty part refers both to the sea and my tendency to get, well, salty during highly competitive video games in the moment. I'm fine on forums though, but you know how some of those fps or top-down games get.

I've had a few usernames though. I thought about using Madsoul for here but decided on this instead.
