Makaze made a timezone tag that allows hosts and players to specify times in a way that shows users their local time. I've been in games where users were unclear on when SoD or EoD actually was with respect to their local time, so this feature is very useful for international players. Here's how it works:
Start Date: Monday, July 13th. SOD/EOD: Start of Day at 8:00 AM EDT. End of Day at 8:00 PM EDT.
Start Date:Monday, July 13th 2020, 8:00 AM EDT SOD/EOD: Start of Day at 8:00 AM EDT. End of Day at 8:00 PM EDT.
Start Date: [timezone]Monday, July 13 2020, 8:00 AM EDT[/timezone]
SOD/EOD: Start of Day at [timezone]8:00 AM EDT[/timezone]. End of Day at [timezone]8:00 PM EDT[/timezone].
This feature does not work when previewing a post.
The timezone for the display is taken from your browser, not from your forum preferences.
There are many more possible ways to put the time and date down; if it shows up correctly for you, it should show up correctly for everyone.
Using a date and a time for the start of the game means that the date is also converted properly. For example, a late game in the US starts in the morning of the next day in Europe and Australia.
A non-US user can give their time zone as offset, e.g. 18:00+01:00, always with 4 digit offset.
US time zones EST, CST, MST, PST and EDT, CDT, MDT, PDT for daylight savings time are supported.
