    Checking in.

Don't pay much attention to spelling mistakes. Haven't gotten the PC set up yet so typing on mobile :s

    Just a rough thought process
I'd say you're probably about right with your speculation. But no real point discussing set up at this point. No real benefits for the trade off of potentially having PRs slip and expose themselves.

Gotta change my time zones, 30 mins behind the one on my profile now :P

Anyways. Maf is always one of me, stitch and kart. I'm not maf, kart isn't playing, so logically stitch is maf.
This has no relation to him stealing my totally original idea.

Ok I see your point Snooks and Ninja. I’ll definitely keep that in mind.

Ninja, how do you feel about SF’s post on Rad? Any takeaways?

Hi, I'm here to deliver on what iPromise(d). (You get a cookie if you get the reference.)

Yes, Daisy, that’s what they’re replacing NL with, I guess.
I don't really get these posts. A first glance shows that they're fluff, but it really feels like Snooks is just asking questions for the sake of asking questions. This indicates a scum mentality; town usually will ask questions that either advance town agenda, clarify some clear misunderstanding within a substantive argument, etc. Asking seemingly random questions and making non-confrontational remarks in the face of these responses fits into an agenda of making it seem like you're doing more than you actually are--a classic scum agenda.

I really just don't understand why you don't care about why people vote a certain way. Like, not asking about it is eh, but flat out acknowledging it and showing apathy towards it is noncommittal.

All of this is consistent with scum!Snooks meta, if I'm not mistaken, though it's been so long that I really can't be bothered to use meta as a main argument.

    I'll also address this:

It seems like trying too hard to get a double dose of credit. Tbh it reminds me of politicians gearing up for election-- "here's the problem, and here's what I'm going to do about it!"-- a typical popularity-winning tactic. He doesn't talk about how all the players can work together to change the standard, oh no-- it's a very deliberate narrative of how only Rad can save us from ourselves.

Then there's Rad's vote against Brandon. He jokes around with his reasoning, which is a welcome bit of fun-- but it leaves me wondering if Rad would've placed his vote there if Stitch hadn't already placed the first. I wonder if he wants to distract from the fact he's BWing by dressing it up as his own independent 'joke reason'.

Plus, voting against Rad, an experienced and active MU player, is more likely to lead interesting places than voting against someone who's newer/less active.

It's not much, but it's not random.
You're overextending: I wanted to get some work done before typing some stuff up. I take forever to write posts on forum mafia, and this is no exception. Whenever I played on Discord mafia, I just spammed the channel as much as I wanted to, and to be honest I didn't really put that much effort in as a result.

So yeah, here's what all that waiting got you. I'm so, so sorry for the inconvenience. You must have been waiting forever. (insert some more passive-aggressive quibbles about waiting, et cetera, et cetera...)

ah, okay I see what you are saying. that is true most just do then say if they plan on leadership or something.

I think it's still too early and not NAI. I will make a note of it though and see how things go.

Valid logic, but felt like she was trying to hard to make something of it. In fairness though it's early day 1 and "trying to hard to make something of it" is how you get discussion, reactions etc - so I'm not overly bothered by it.

Did feel a bit fluffed up, but I'd be a hypocrite to use that as a negative.

    NAI= not alignment indicative

so, I think it's not alignment indicative because it's not alignment indicative.

Can I get your thoughts on Ninja and TD, the only other two people who have done anything remotely substantial this game?

idk, snooks takes some time to warm up. and yeah if all she does posts like these that be something. think it's a bit too early.

oh, and as too your comments to sf. hmm, maybe. not how I interpreted it.

I gotta think on things and I'll just let this all stew.

do you think you're being like a politician or more of a military general? yes it's an odd question but it's game related in a sense. wanna know how you gonna play this game.

bro like I put an extra not there. my bad I had to read it 4x to see why you are pressing the issue.

edit by way of post: it's NAI.

i repeat it's just simply NAI.

I haven't played a game with either one of them in ages.

ninja coming in stronk with his big post but it's not alot of content. him jk voting on stitch, iirc something like that, he does sometimes regardless of his alignment.

we did play a game here in MU and he was nafoa and I was town. his style was a bit different. think forums does that.. so it was harder to pin him down. by the time I did most was sure they had the wolves pinned down and him and his team won. my point, he be someone to watch. not shading or anything.

far as DUDE goes. I got no clue tbph. I don't remember any of our past games. gonna place him pretty much as new player, can't read etc, you know what I mean?

    Dude's post seem fine tho.

apparently you think it should have signicsmce. let's see.

you want to wait, before you get things going. okay that's fine.. seems more like a checking in type statement.
several players haven't even posted yet.

your comment about day 1 being wasted. yeah, that happens. so just stating the obvious.

you plan on changing how this game is gonna go compared to past games. you don't say how. change is just change . could be bad could be good. who knows. gotta wait and see. could help town could help mafia who knows.

I can't read this as coming from a mafia or a town. either alignment could post this.

now it came from you Rad. Rad has literally made promises he can't keep regardless of his alignment. This post I can see Rad making as town.I can see Rad as mafia posting something like this too. so I can see Rad posting this mafia and as town.

Now him pressing to choose an alignment for this post... iirc he played something similarly in another game, he was town and so was I. he randed masons with another player and I was vig. my point, him pressing me and making me answer this over and over again. that seems to go with more of Rad's town methods then his mafia. but idk.

how am I supposed to assign that post as towny or scummy? it's null.

I didn't mean new as him being a newb. but new as in never played a game with him before, even tho I have. as in i got no meta.

Stitch's opening is blatantly bad. I could (and will probably in the near future) push it, but I don't want to advance too many points simultaneously.

TD's opening is null, as is Ninja's.

Now this is starting to get interesting.

Snooks asking many questions but adding no new original information is good enough to be suspicious but I do not think it is AI (At this stage at least). I wanna hear what Snooks has to say in response to this.

As for stitch, it might be a reach but this post below might be townish behavior:

Sitting back and doing nothing sounds pretty good tbh. I'm down, ty Rad.
Townies are more likely to be carefree unlike scum who would rather want to look 100% townie in the early stages of the game. Mafia are more likely to get straight into business instead of fooling around above.

Ninja so far I need more time to see where he’s at.

I’ll make a separate post about Daisy soon.

Ninja so far I need more time to see where he’s at.

I’ll make a separate post about Daisy soon.
If the norm for games is to not get anything started until 24+ hours into D1, and that norm helps scum more than town, wouldn't scum not want to do anything serious?

apparently you think it should have signicsmce. let's see.

you want to wait, before you get things going. okay that's fine.. seems more like a checking in type statement.
several players haven't even posted yet.

your comment about day 1 being wasted. yeah, that happens. so just stating the obvious.

you plan on changing how this game is gonna go compared to past games. you don't say how. change is just change . could be bad could be good. who knows. gotta wait and see. could help town could help mafia who knows.

Now him pressing to choose an alignment for this post... iirc he played something similarly in another game, he was town and so was I. he randed masons with another player and I was vig. my point, him pressing me and making me answer this over and over again. that seems to go with more of Rad's town methods then his mafia. but idk.

how am I supposed to assign that post as towny or scummy? it's null.
#64 definitely raises some eyebrows from me. There is some slight shade thrown at Rad in bold. To me, it looks like indirect attacks that try to discredit their target. Not a fan of this post.

we did play a game here in MU and he was nafoa and I was town. his style was a bit different. think forums does that.. so it was harder to pin him down. by the time I did most was sure they had the wolves pinned down and him and his team won. my point, he be someone to watch. not shading or anything.

far as DUDE goes. I got no clue tbph. I don't remember any of our past games. gonna place him pretty much as new player, can't read etc, you know what I mean?

    Dude's post seem fine tho.
I’ve never seen a Daisy town game from what I’ve seen so this post is Null.

Also Daisy can you please clarify the bold? I’m assuming that fine posts= null from what I’m reading.

You’re 100% right. Some scum definetly take advantage of the situation and mess around but others would likely want to stand out as early TRs (or at least not the scummiest looking player). It’s more of a gut feeling for me on stitch that I don’t know how to elaborate outside of that point.

I played with Daisy as town once. It was a Discord game, so any meta you could possibly glean from it is probably bunk. I'll circle back to my own thoughts on Daisy later though.

I'm also gutreading Stitch but in the exact opposite direction as you.

I still want to hear thoughts from Ninja, Stitch and Snooks.

I don't know enough about timezones to know what the former two are doing. Snooks is probably doing mom things at this hour.

While I still have you here Dude, how do you see Ninja progressing over D1?

I suppose I am throwing a bit if shade. he did like press me multiple times to answer that question. but nothing I said wasn't true facts or at least in how I remember in past games. plus I was being passive aggressive but it probably came as more aggressive idk idc idk why he kept wanting me to label the post as townie or scummy. idk he didn't accept me saying how I didn't mean to add an extra not.

seems like that be something to post about more so then my responses.

why do you think Rad kept asking me the same question over and over? how would you have responded in a similar situation? do you think knowing now that it was a bit weird at least to me that he kept on it, that maybe it changes the way you view how I made long post to answer his question in full and gave that short post of his my complete full and undivided attention? that idk maybe it's why I said the things I said in the way I said them? that just because I call Rad out on stuff that it isn't neccesarily shade? and even if it was shade that it isn't neccesarily scummy?

there maybe a bridge but it's yet to be determined if it's water over or under it or if the bridge is burning or not.

yes, so far this game everyone is in the null. but like some are closer to red and some closer to green.

All of this is consistent with scum!Snooks meta, if I'm not mistaken, though it's been so long that I really can't be bothered to use meta as a main argument.

    I'll also address this:

    Hmmmmm.

You may or may not be surprised to find I have an issue with some of your points.

(But first... Is that a quote from one of iPromise/you-know-who’s fave songs? Do I get a cookie?)

So the first thing you did here (besides ignore the fact that Brandon hadn’t responded to you yet and when you said you weren’t going to let nothing get accomplished today and Stitch just responded with essentially an “ok, I’ll sit back and do nothing”—-which you seem to be ok with?) was to pick a couple of random starting posts of mine and basically say I’m asking questions for the sake of asking questions.

    Well... yes.

I doubt it even counts as “fluff”. We were at the start of the game, nothing going on, so just chatting with the people who had posted thus far, trying to get some sort of conversation going.

There hadn’t even *been any big “misunderstandings” to clarify or “substantive arguments” to take a stance on, or anything warranting a confrontational (as opposed to non-confrontational) response.

And...asking about the vote but not caring why they voted, being apathetic? Don’t even try to misrepresent my motivations/intent here.

It’s an RV at the start of the game, on someone who hadn’t even posted yet, iirc. What *reason is there for that vote? Dude random cotes.

But I asked anyway just in case maybe he had something to say about playing with him years ago that might have sparked an interest in having a conversation with him, as opposed to a completely random thing.

But, rng it was. As I suspected. It isn’t “apathy”. It’s just a “there’s nothing there yet”.

So then you make a contradictory point, saying it’s been “so long” you don’t want to use meta as a main argument. While simultaneously stating it’s consistent with scum!Snooks meta and accusing me of having a “classic scum agenda”.

So yeah, you’re trying to use meta as an argument. But the thing is we’ve played together and/or spectated games for years. It’s not like I’m some stranger you have no experience with. I’ve changed my meta about as often as Santa changes the colour of his hat.

I’m rarely an aggressive player unless & until I have some urgent reason to be (or did you also forget the last game you hosted, too)? Yet you’re making it out as though town!Snooks *should be. So to accuse me, this early, of having some sort of “classic scum agenda” is a load of shady baloney, and a bright red flag.

I initially thought Silver was “overextending” a bit, as well, in regards to you. (That was a lot of explanation for her vote that “wasn’t much”.) Basically valid points, yes, but like Dude said I felt it was a bit more NAI.) I asked Silver how much she played with you guys back on the forums, because I feel like you would likely vote Brandon even if Stitch hadn’t. It kind of feels like the expected opening in a game of chess, lol.

But this *case? on me feels less like some sort of “reaction test” and more like a push to see who’ll go along with it. Because if you’re town, I don’t think you make it. You usually take a more “wait and see” approach with me. You’ve *legit scum-read/made statements against me before, and whatever this is, at this point in the game...isn’t anything like it.

And... I have a lot to read back on.

Asking seemingly random questions and making non-confrontational remarks in the face of these responses fits into an agenda of making it seem like you're doing more than you actually are--a classic scum agenda.

idk think your points is more valid the DUDE'S.

I like your points and it seems more like town snooks. you are at 61/2 tho now. idk if that means anything to you.

I look forward to more of your comments to things going on so far in game and look forward to your own say on things too.

I’ve yes, been doing Mom things and will again for a bit soon. Also time for the almost regularly scheduled evening hailstorm. If I don’t post again in the next few hours, that may be why.

But there are things to read now, though I’ve said what I’m most concerned about atm. Is there anyone else in specific you want me to comment on?

Yeah, Rad’s pressing you on that wording about not NAI is town-Rad looking “behaviour” but it’s really kind of a weird thing to press someone on.

Dude and Ninja doing substantial things. So far Dude wanted to talk about how many vanillas and PRs we have, and Ninja had the same kind of thoughts as I did about Silver’s post (as I was writing what turned out to be that wall.) I haven’t really made a “read” on them yet. But Idk that what they’ve done is “substantial”.

And unless I missed it, Brandon and Alpha still haven’t chimed in on anything. I expect Pol and NASA to be in soon. So a third of the players aren’t even here yet. Stitch’s opening was kinda scummy, but eh...might have been waiting to see Rad’s response (and sleeping). He’ll have more to say soon.

I expect to have a lot to read in the morning.

seems like that be something to post about more so then my responses.

why do you think Rad kept asking me the same question over and over? how would you have responded in a similar situation? do you think knowing now that it was a bit weird at least to me that he kept on it, that maybe it changes the way you view how I made long post to answer his question in full and gave that short post of his my complete full and undivided attention? that idk maybe it's why I said the things I said in the way I said them? that just because I call Rad out on stuff that it isn't neccesarily shade? and even if it was shade that it isn't neccesarily scummy?
To clarify, the bold I highlighted in #64 can also be seen as passive-aggressive, which is inherently scummy. It doesn’t MEAN I see you as a scumread but moreso a person of interest for that response.

Why would Rad repeat himself? I have no idea.

What would I do? Once it has been said, it can always be quoted as reference.

Rad keeping on the pressure could just be justified as making sure he keeps a tab on every player’s thought process. That’s as far as it goes.

I expect to have a lot to read in the morning.
time zones is a big factor. stitch is in India iirc. so idk that might of been his soon to be going to sleep time. he should be active again soon, in a few hours iirc? just as I'll be going to sleep. the window to chat with him be between 5am-10am USA PST. he could be on before that time or after but that is a good window.

sf is in the UK and so is Kai/NASA

idk about polarity or J1M nor Comet.

Alpha, idk he is in USA too so is Brandon. they should have done been here by now. :/
