The Everyone's JOATED Spinoff You've Been Waiting For!
Fast & Furious, Transformers, Suicide Squad, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Bad Boys and many more movies had their spin-offs right? And they were really good!
Well , the same applies to this game! Everyone's JOATED was originally designed and hosted by @TripleHaven and @Dawoodle! I played in that game and we almost won (ahem). The game was so much fun that it inspired me to come up with a design of my own and called it "The Guillo's Cut".
Why? Cause guillotines cut $%#!, because it sounds theatrical, because it honors the original creators and because my version is twisted! REALLY TWISTED!
What can you expect?
1) Multiple Alignments
2) Designed for 25 players and a post cap of 250 per player in 48 hours day phases, fun and easy to keep up with.
3) Everyone is a Jack Of All Trades with a vast array of abilities ranging from the most violent to the most ridiculous! Both standard and custom made!
4) A soup kill mechanic! So you guys don't try to break my game with mass claiming, unless you all wanna die on day 1 of course.
5) Cool artwork I found on the internet.
6) Co-Hosted with one of the original creators @Dawoodle
7) Flavor with a bit of humor, maybe.
8) The host breaks the 4th Wall and moderately interacts with the players (in thread)
9) As you can expect! It's bastard with emphasis on having fun instead of game balance. Balance? Who cares about balance right?
SoD/SoN: 14:00 (GMT -8 now, GMT -7 then) Phases: 48/24 Discord: Mandatory Post Limit: 250 posts per player Minimum: 10 Posts Type: Manual / Closed / Bastard / Role Madness Players: 25 Mafia Factional Kill: Mandatory and Assigned Mafia Soup Kill: Yes (Optional) Communication Outside the Thread: Certain parties allowed Majority End Day Early: At Final 7. @Guillotina if you're not full closer to start ping me again. I'm anticipating a heavy work load (deploying new company wide software soon) so I can't commit to anything

I'll probably have to skip this as after the two games I just joined which I already probably shouldn't, I'm gonna need some buffer space if I want to join the eventual FFX game
if you eat soup at any point while this game is running, modbot will kill you instantly
it took a long time to program so please shoutout to Makaze about soup the next time you see him
LOL
@carrots it's an anti-claiming mechanic that allows mafia to kill one or several players in a row by correctly guessing their roles.
“i guess that <player> is a joat”
You found our fatal flaw.
They have to correctly guess at least one of the JOAT abilities for the kill to go through.
"I guess that <Player> is a JOAT with the following abilities: Doctor, Cop, Parity Cop, Role Cop, Transporter, Redirector, Vigilante, Bodyguard, Commuter, Firebrand, Escort, Tracker, Lookout, Neapolitan, Innocent Child, Mason, Neighbor, Backup, Jailkeeper, etc."

Back to the drawing board.
(Since this started as a serious question about the mechanic, here's a brief description of how it works:
1. The mafia team can submit an ordered list of players and at least one JOAT ability they think that player has.
2. The guess is checked for the first player on the list.
2a. If any of the guessed JOAT abilities is wrong, the kill fails and the cycle stops.
2b. If all of the guessed JOAT abilities are correct, the kill succeeds and the next player is checked.
3. Repeat 2 until the list is exhausted or a kill fails.)
If the following players are in the game:
Danoodle* (x3 Doctor, x3 Cop, x3 Parity Cop)
Carrotz*(x3 Vigilante, x3 Bodyguard, x3 Commuter)
Guillotin* (x3 Role Cop, x3 Transporter, x3 Redirector)
And the mafia submit the following list:
1. Danoodle, Doctor
2. Carrotz, Tracker/Bodyguard
3. Guillotin, Role Cop
Danoodle dies since they have a Doctor action.
Carrotz does not die since they don't have a tracker action, even though they have a bodyguard action.
Guillotin survives since he is after Carrots on the list, even though he has a Role Cop action.
If the list were instead:
1. Danoodle, Doctor
2. Carrotz, Bodyguard
3. Guillotin, Role Cop
All three players would die since all of the guesses are correct.

If you sign up with your main to spectate i will give you access. I don't allow alts to spectate unless I know who is behind the alt. Thank you for your honesty though.

It is my main lol, I just didn't see anyone else spectating so idk if you had spectating on this game
What's the point of spectating anyway? You just, like, lurk on the thread the entire game?
Spectating is underrated, you still have a sort of interaction with the thread being able to read it when you get the chance, even if you don't have the time to play or you just don't want to play (either a specific game or on hiatus) but having info on peoples roles makes games easier to follow when watching too
Spectating is fun because you get to hang out with the host, other spectators, and the dead folks (typically, I haven't seen a non-deadchat spec chat yet here but you see it sometimes on Bay12). Spectating the game itself is part of that but there's a lot of just hanging out and bantering going on.
A role madness game where everybody has abilities and the goal is to have fun? Sign me up! This reminds me a lot of my OG forumafia homesite, in a good way
